About this property

Large Lodge in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho 8 bedrooms sleeps 35

This is a 6400-square-foot lodge a few miles outside the famous Lava Hot Springs. It has 5 master bedrooms with private bathrooms, as 1 bedroom without a bathroom attached. There are 2 large “kid rooms” that are full of bunk beds. This home includes 2 gas ranges and 2 fridges. There are enough tables and chairs to seat around 40 people. Downstairs there is a 70-inch flat-screen TV, a pool table, a ping pong table, and foosball table. There is a large, beautiful master bathroom with a jetted tub and a stand-up shower. A 50-foot-long deck with a gorgeous view over the valley and the river.

Upstairs you’ll find a large room perfect for large gatherings. Along with the kitchen and master bedroom and bathroom.
Downstairs you will find the other 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and a large game/movie room. Please remember that this is not a hotel, we built this place for our family to use and decided to share it with you. Please do not abuse our home or the amenities we have provided.

You will have the entire place to yourself. This includes the large lodge, as well as the large parking lot, fire pit, and grill area which includes 2 grills, tables, and benches. You also have access to the 2 acres that are behind the house and you’re welcome to hike as far as you can see.

You will check yourself in and out via key code on the kitchen door. This code will be sent to you before arrival. Thank you!

This was the perfect place for our family reunion. We had 35 people and it accommodated all of us very easily. We were very pleased with the kitchen that had all the cookware that we needed to prep meals for such a large group. Kids loved the large spaces to play in and there was room for adults to get away and talk. Would happily stay here again!

Nice space...lots of bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms. Plenty of tables and chairs and couches. We had a blast as a family women's group.

Our family of nearly 40 has a wonderful time here from July 13-17, 2025. We especially loved the huge main room where we had our gatherings and even played lawn games. Plenty of space and so close to all the activities in town. The pool and ping pong tables could use updating. But other than that, this was an amazing experience. It's definitely on our list to do again.

Church ladies’ Retreat

We enjoyed staying at the Frandsen lodge for the second time. It works so well for us. Our only minor issue this year was that the beds in the two kids rooms had been changed from what is on the website and we had to make some adjustments to our plans.

Beautiful Location

We enjoyed our stay with the beautiful panoramic views and quiet, private neighborhood. There was more than enough adequate space for visiting and sleeping for our large group. (The two stoves were a little touchy and not super reliable so be aware and watch for the touchiness or your food won't cook properly). The children loved the slide on the back of the property. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Room with a view

We loved the spaciousness of the whole house. The kitchen was so well organized (labeled) and supplied. If we needed it, it was there. The number of bedrooms and baths was amazing. Sitting up on a hill, the view is beautiful. Our family loved it and said they’d like to go back there again.

Family Reunion fun

There was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked. We were able to connect to the TV downstairs to show family videos from our phones. Some of the bedding wasn't clean, a sheet and 2 covers. The highchairs were great to use, but it would have been nice if a pack n play was provided.

Incredible Place!

We could not have been more impressed with this stay! We had a large group of adults and teenagers and everyone loved the place. The open space, the entertainment options, the kitchen set-up & supplies, the extra tables & chairs, so many couches and places to sit were awesome! Plus they had an emergency kit and medicine available. The bedrooms were very clean, the beds comfortable and having so many bathrooms was incredibly nice. The communication with the with property manager was very timely and helpful. They were even willing to let us change the weekend to a different one, when we found out a scheduling conflict. The Wi-Fi was great and the clean-up/check-out process was very organized and easy. We have so many positive things to say about this place and would 10/10 recommend to everyone!
