Charming and elegant vacation rentals of the Rempart of the Year 1291

They form a set of 6 exceptional lodgings around a small garden: 4 of them are located in an old Renaissance house built in the year 1580 on the first rampart of Riquewihr erected in 1291. The property faces the famous vineyard the Schoenenbourg which dominates the village; 2 other apartments complete the series in an adjacent house dating from the 17th century.

All these lodgings have been designed to meet the new 5-star standards for the furnished tourist apartments category.

A small garden with a medieval design gives an exquisite touch of refinement to this original ensemble.

A set of 3 romantic, elegant and comfortable lodgings, decorated in the purest Alsatian tradition. These exceptional lodgings are located on the second belt of ramparts of Riquewihr, completed in the year 1500.

The walls on the west side of our gîtes are made of the rampart itself. The facades on the east side have the appearance of typical Alsatian half-timbered houses. They are quietly located.

The studio « Le Refuge du Lutin*** » (the refuge of the Gobelin) is located on the rampart of the year 1500.

La vieille ville de Riquewihr à Noël est magnifique . Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous avons eu beaucoup de chance d avoir du soleil on a mangé les spécialités de l Alsace " quel délices "

Wir haben anlässlich unserer Silberhochzeit ein paar Tage in Riquewihr und dem kleinen Apartment verbracht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, haben gut geschlafen in dem bequemen Bett. Das sehr kleine Zimmer ist für 2-3 Nächte ausreichend. Die gute Lage am Rande der Altstadt ermöglicht es, alles fußläufig zu erreichen.

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt gelegen und ideal für einige Tage. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt sollte man lieber eine größere Unterkunft wählen. Man ist sehr schnell in den Restaurants, in der Woche ist das Angebot begrenzt. Parken ist nicht so einfach, man braucht da auch etwas Glück.

Wunderbar und niedlich

Wir haben die Unterkunft genauso angetroffen, wie auf dem Foto gezeigt. Dieses hatte es uns angetan, und genauso war es auch. Die Sitzecke optimal und sehr platzsparend, die Dusche ungewöhnlich gross, sodass man sich richtig bewegen kann. Wer ein sauberes "Puppenhäuschen" mag, dem sei es sehr empfohlen. Wer einfach eine Unterkunft sucht, hat auch das. Herzlicher Empfahng, einfache Formalitäten, alles bestens.

21st Century stay in mediaeval village

We previously stayed in The Refuge of the Imp (Lutin) in 2008, and were most impressed at the consistent standard of the accommodation. Checking in and out was efficiently organised: simply follow the instructions carefully. We would recommend this as a place to stay for a wide range of interests, including viticulture in Riquewihr and surrounds, walking to the neighbouring villages, driving into the Vosges mountains. The restaurants we went to, au Dolder and and la Grenouille, were very good with a choice of general and local dishes. Ancient Riquewihr after dark in the middle of winter is most impressive.

paesino un po' troppo commerciale e turistico

Soggiorno in un paese stupendo e romantico appartamento piccolino ma confortevole c'è tutto per trascorrere un paio di giorni in relax. Un po' caro, non mi è piaciuta la signora che gestiva la location, Voleva farci pagare due volte la tassa di soggiorno, L'avevamo pagata il primo giorno e alla fine della settimana ci ha chiesto di nuovo il pagamento, furbetta!

ce petit nid douillet est vraiment très agréable . Fait pour deux personnes, tout est adorable: décoration , ambiance et prestations. Très bien situé en ville , ce sera un vrai bonheur d'y retourner. Lieu idéal pour un séjour de saint valentin !!!!

location d'exception, chaleureuse, très propre, fonctionnelle avec une déco recherchée qui nous donne qu'une envie c'est de revenir. Nous venons en décembre pour les marchés de Noël qui sont nombreux dans la région et Riquewihr est un endroit féérique en cette période. Nous n'avons pas été déçues ma sœur et moi par les restaurants qui nous ont été conseillés.

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful village

I can't recommend enough. Superb communication from the owners and manager, Valerie. Riquewhir is absolutely amazing and never fails to captivate. It also takes on a new life after dark. There are many surrounding villages and towns that are also worth a look. Colmar in particular has all you could ever want from a Christmas market. This accommodation has been sympathetically restored to suits it's ancient surroundings and has also been cleverly designed in order to make a small space comfortable and convenient. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return again!

Thank you for share your experience. We tryed to make the best out of that historical house on the medieval defence wall. For the Refuge of the Imp we had to organize everything by the centimeter to get all the necessary comfort. I personally like that place. It was my headquarters in Riquewihr while managing the other renovation works. In the morning I used to read my newspaper at the window while having my coffee and croissant. And December in Riquewihr is definitely a magical time … Thank you again for staying with us and be welcome back anytime.

Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre auf kleinem Raum

Perfekt eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Gut durchdachtes Konzept. Trotz altem Gemäuer muss man nicht auf moderne Annehmlichkeiten verzichten. Man ist direkt in Riquewihr. Hübsche Geschäfte und jede Menge Restaurants laden fußläufig zum Genießen ein. Trotz zentraler Lage in der Stadtmauer, hat man abends und morgens idyllische Ruhe. Aus dem Fenster kann man auf die Weinberge in der Abendsonne schauen.

Agréable - Confortable - Pratique - Propre

Etre au coeur de Riquewihr a été bien agréable. Des explications précises m'ont été données pour arriver facilement sur place, et des consignes claires sont apportées lors de l'installation. L'appartement est fonctionnel. Tout le confort est là. La décoration est faite avec bon goût et les lieux sont propres jusqu'au moindre détail. Le lit est très confortable et il y a de quoi être autonome au niveau des repas (le coin cuisine est équipé), même si de bons restaurants existent à proximité, comme le Throttus, Le Bar à Sushi, le Dolder et les restaurants de Jean-Luc Brendel. Ils m'ont été conseillés par les Remparts de Riquewihr et effectivement, j'ai passé un bon moment. Cet appartement de petite taille est l'idéal pour une ou deux personnes lorsqu'on vient pour travailler sur le secteur de Riquewihr ou Colmar, ou pour marcher dans les vignes. C'est un bon pied à terre. Quant au prix, il est moins élevé que certaines chambres d'hôtel que je peux occuper au fil de mes déplacements, alors que l'espace est plus grand et le confort meilleur. Je reviendrai et recommande le refuge du Lutin, aux Remparts de Riquewihr.

C'est vrai, nous l'aimons bien aussi ce petit Refuge du Lutin. Nous y avons logé nous-même plusieurs fois et je me souviens que le petit-déjeuner pris au coin repas face à la fenêtre dans le rempart, tout en lisant le journal et en observant les promeneurs dans le jardin public en contrebas, était un bon et plaisant moment. La douche aussi est spacieuse et confortable et le lit est un vrai bon lit de 160x200. Il est petit ce studio, oui, mais il a tout d'un grand...
