Visiting the cabin in the summer months can be such a treat, with plenty of activities in the area you are sure to stay busy! Enjoy a scenic hike or an adventurous mountain bike ride on over 200 miles of trails located just minutes from the cabin. Journey approximately 20 minutes to Grand Targhee Resort where they offer a scenic chair lift ride to the summit of Fred’s Mountain, kid’s summer camps, picturesque horseback rides, a refreshing swimming pool, or reach new heights on the euro-bungee trapeze and climbing tower. Grand Targhee Resort also maintains an award-winning disc golf course and many trails for all riding levels at their mountain bike park. But the fun doesn’t stop there, Teton Valley also holds multiple golf courses designed by pro golfers as well as over 120 miles of blue ribbon fly fishing on 3 rivers including, Henry’s Fork, South Fork, and the Teton River. After a day of summer fun, fire up the barbeque at the cabin and partake in a family-friendly competition of horseshoe or wind down at the end of the day with a campfire, don’t forget the s’mores fixins!
During the winter months, hit the slopes of Grand Targhee Resort. Located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, Grand Targhee’s abundance of light powder snow (more than 500 inches annually) and lack of lift lines creates an uncrowded skier and snowboarder paradise. If downhill skiing is not what you desire, head to Teton Canyon where you can enjoy free groomed trails for classic or skate skiing. The Activity Center at Grand Targhee Resort also offers an abundance of winter activities to choose from including snowshoeing, snowmobiling, snow biking, sleigh ride dinners and backcountry adventures. When returning to the cabin after a long day of outdoor adventure, warm up with hot cocoa by the gas fireplace or enjoy the warmth of the outdoor hot tub while soaking in the beauty of the Teton Valley.
Travel just under an hour to Jackson, WY, where the Wild West truly lives on! Stroll through town to visit the numerous outdoor stores, art galleries and shops, take in the National Museum of Wildlife Art across the street from the National Elk Refuge or “head for the hills” to explore Teton Village.
Last but certainly not least, visit the mountains, valleys, lakes, and rivers of Grand Teton National Park. This national forest is home to abundant forests, wildflowers, and wildlife. The park also has a rich cultural history with old homesteads and cattle ranches to explore and photograph. Walk on a trail built by the Civilian Conservation Corps or one that American Indians or fur trappers might have used in the 1820s. Ride a bike or paddle a canoe. Only an hour drive from the cabin and there is something for everyone.
This cabin is the perfect base-camp for the many activities and attractions the Teton Valley offers. Please refer to our calendar and send us an email to reserve your stay today.

About the host
Hosted by Angie Hill
We are the Dreisbach Family. My husband and I bought this cabin in 2000. At that time the cabin did not have a yard or a basement and over the years we added some things and improved the property. In 2002 we were married on top of Grand Targhee overlooking the Tetons and held our reception at our cabin. In 2004 we moved to Big Sky, Montana where we own a construction company and try and keep up with our three children. We love making regular trips back to our cabin to enjoy beautiful Teton Valley and all that it offers.
Why they chose this property
There are many reasons my family chose this property. The Teton Valley and surrounding area is tranquil and serene with spectacular views and many opportunities for adventure. The cabin is in close proximity to Driggs, Idaho, if you need to run into town. It is also not far from Grand Targhee Resort, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Jackson, WY. We hope that you enjoy this cabin as much as our family does!
What makes this property unique
Nothing compares to the unobstructed views of the Tetons. It's a view you that will long be imprinted in your mind!
