Many positives about the property and the host. We were in the home for 5 weeks. Primary purpose of our stay was medically related so being near UT Southwestern Medical Center was very important. The property is a quiet home, even though it is located on a busy street and near Love Field airport. Given the length of our stay, we were grateful for full washer and dryer facilities located in the kitchen, the fully furnished home including bedroom and bathroom linens, the walk in shower, and fully equipped kitchen. The host provided us with coffee that lasted our entire stay and some healthy breakfast items that lasted for the first week of our stay. The host was helpful and available, when needed.
We needed a centrally located house to stay in while making repairs on our home. This place was perfect for what we needed and the host was a gracious as could be.
We enjoyed our holiday stay over Christmas at this cozy comfy home. It was clean and looks just as the listing described. Lisa provided some very nice touches with the breakfast supplies in the refrigerator when we arrived. The Nespresso was a very nice addition. We will definitely stay here again, when we are in the Dallas area.
Stayed here for Thanksgiving while visiting family. Great location to get to areas of DFW. Nice backyard for dog. Lisa was very responsive to questions and provided light breakfast items. Will definitely stay here again!
My wife and I together with our three dogs stayed at Lisa's home while ours was being remodeled.
The house is very well appointed and very comfortable.
The kitchen and amenities are well stocked for all types of cooking
The location is absolutely perfect for Park Cities, SMU, Uptown, Downtown, Lakewood and even DFW airport is only 25 minutes away.
I highly recommend this home :))
We had a great stay at the house. It was clean and comfortable and our host made sure to check in with us to see how we were doing. Only about 5 minutes from Dallas Love Field. There was a storm when we were there that took a tree down in front of the house and Lisa had someone there the next day to remove it. Completely fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. I highly recommend.
Great location, quiet space, was everything we needed for our week-long trip with our pups. Host was very friendly and responsive with answers to any questions that came up
I cannot say enough kind things about Lisa, she is super host for sure! She started our stay out with English muffins, eggs, juice, and milk with fresh coffee! So thoughtful of her. The place was exactly as it’s listed. The only issue that I can say, is that it is on a busy road and can be difficult to get out of depending on the time of day. Most people, were super nice and would let you out, but there’s always that one. The yard was exactly what I needed to distress from my day, give it a try! I think you won’t be disappointed
Lisa was wonderful to communicate with, she was very responsive. She had english muffins, water, OJ and coffee availale for us .The house was adorable and the backyard was great for our dog. The only issue we had was the previous guests must have had a cat and my husband is very allergic to cat hair, and it was all over the sofa, in the rugs and on the comforter of the Master bedroom. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
5202 W. Mockingbird Lane is in a good location. It’s in Highland Park, near SMU, Love Airport, and good restaurants. The bathroom in the house has handicapped bars and a walk-in shower, but there is no handicap entrance into the house. The garage is short because the washer and dryer are in the garage. The property is pet friendly and has a good backyard fence. However, there were lots of overgrown areas in the yard and it was full of leaves. Although the property is on an extremely busy street, people were very kind and would allow us to back out without waiting. The owner was very quick to respond when there was a problem at the house. There was a problem with the water heater and it was fixed the next day. Also, the Samsung ice maker had frozen up, so the could not be fixed while we were there. Samsung ice makers are notorious for that. We just bought bagged ice while there. There is no automatic dishwasher in the kitchen. The Mr. Coffee works but needs to be replaced with a K-cup machine.
We were comfortable from the minute we got there. The host had stocked the refrigerator with eggs, milk, English muffins and yogurt. This was the first time I’d traveling with my dog and he loved the yard. Restaurants nearby (less than 5 minutes up Inwood) were so good! Only thing I’d caution on is that the house is close to Love Field; there are times you hear planes taking off. This did not bother me after the first day…
I grew up in Mexico City, (thus speak fluent Spanish) attended Brown University, and have lived in Dallas for 30 plus years. I greatly enjoy this thriving city. I own a small upscale medical spa, Luxury on Lovers, just minutes from this location. Guests enjoy a 20% discount on spa services (excluding medical treatments). I lead a very healthy lifestyle and have a great circle of friends. I have a special place in my heart for all animals and frequently rescue and foster dogs. I love to cook and enjoy creating a warm, comfortable, and cozy atmosphere in my home and my spa. I believe the guesthouse also reflects this. I love to travel, hang with my dogs, and immerse myself in a great book. I look forward to hosting guests in my quiet and private property.
