Newly remodeled second row home with beautiful views and steps to the beach!

Smile and Wave. Our second row beach home has been newly remodeled and we can't wait to share this family friendly home with you! We are located on the east side of Ocean Isle Beach about 1 mile from the center of town. Our home is steps away from the beach access so its very easy to run back and forth to the home for anything you may have forgotten!

Our reverse floor plan optimizes ocean views in the space that you will be spending most of your time. The open family room, dining room, and kitchen offer breathtaking views of the ocean. With 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, Smile and Wave sleeps up to 14 people so we have plenty of room for you, your family, and your friends. There are 2 master bedrooms (one on the top floor and one on the first floor) each offering King beds and their own bath. The 3 remaining bedrooms are all on first floor along with two additional bathrooms. Each level boasts a large deck spanning the width of the home for relaxing or dining . All bedrooms have TVs with Roku devices so you can sign in to any streaming service that you like. There is a large, private outdoor shower to rinse off in after a day at the beach!

For families with small children, our home is stocked with a baby gate, pack and play, booster seat, high chair, umbrella stroller, and a variety of beach toys.

We added an EV charger in 2022 that is available to our guests for an additional fee.

Great location and property. The host was extremely communicative and helpful. We had an issue with the grill and he sent us a brand new grill the same day. The house is great and very close to the beach access.

What a Gem

Loved our stay here. We’ve been renting for several summers at OIB and the owner is by far the most responsive and helpful. House layout is great - appreciate that the upstairs master is not right off the kitchen as in other homes. Will be back!

This property was exceptional. Lots of room for our family vacation. Updated and well stocked kitchen. Close to beach access. Backyard grass for little ones to get out and play. Love that towels and sheets were included. Lots of extras like beach chairs and sand toys were available. Large parking area. I would recommend to anyone!!!!

Annual Family Beach Trip

Such a delightful place to stay and spend time with our family. You could not have better location from the house. The only downside was the beach because we were unaware that you can only have umbrella instead, no tent allowed. Your place was very accommodating for our large family. Couldn’t ask for a nicer home to stay.

Great Place at Ocean Isle Beach

We loved our stay at Smile N Wave. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed to make our stay great! Luke and Sarah could not have been better Hosts. They reached out and stayed connected with us the entire trip. We will definitely return!

Wonderful home and location

Our family had a great time on OIB staying in this well stocked home. The owners were wonderful hosts, checking to see if there was anything we needed midweek. We were steps from the beach access which was perfect for our group who could easily come and go. Well stocked, fresh and clean. Reccommend!

Tough to beat...

Seriously, there isn't anything bad to share about our stay! The house was wonderful and immaculate, it was sooooooooooo close to beach access, and it was just a very comfortable place for us to stay. Communication with the owner was fantastic from prior to arriving through after our departure. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future!

Beautiful Home

This is a beautiful home and was very clean! It was well stocked with everything you need. The owners responded immediately with any questions we had. They also had a book in the home with instructions for everything. We have already rented this home for next year.

Worth it!

We had such a great time staying here. It was a beautiful and spacious home right across from access to the beach. The 5 bedrooms and numerous bathroom made such a huge difference when everyone was getting ready or just needed some space. The host was very communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend and absolutely stay again!

Great location!

Plenty of room for our group of 11. The upper deck had great views of the ocean - close enough to hear the waves crashing while not being directly on the oceanfront. Beds were extremely comfortable although the twin mattress on the top bunk was rated poorly by my 22 year old niece…😬 Well stocked kitchen, great water pressure in the showers, and plenty of beach chairs for us to use at the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Ocean Isle

This house was perfect for our family. They had beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers an umbrella already there, ready to grab and walk across the street to the beach! Kitchen had everything needed to cook! Decor was beautiful! Everything was very clean. We spent a lot of time out on the front balconies watching the ocean and enjoying the cool breeze! Luke kept in contact with us the whole time making sure everything was great! I would highly recommend staying here! Our family had a wonderful time!

Ocean isle family vacation 2022

The beach house was perfect for our family of eleven. Very tastefully decorated with a spacious family room that included a lot of seating. The front porch with a view of the ocean was a wonderful hang out for us in the mornings and evenings with the four rocking chairs and sofa as there was a nice breeze the whole week we were there. It’s a very short walk to the beach where our family enjoying hanging out all day! Luke was very informative and responsive if I had a question about anything. We fell in love with Ocean Isle and will certainly be back! Thanks for sharing your beach house Luke and Sarah!

Five stars for everything!

Super clean and attactively decorated. Great communication from hosts and Luke was always fast to respond to a question. Hands down the best stocked kitchen of any rental we have been in! Lots of serving bowls, pots and pans, dishes and glasses. Huge amount of countertop space in the kitchen. Great supply of towels, nice TVs and easy to use. Great furniture and balcony spaces. Fantastic view and super close beach access. You can easily fit 6 good sized vehicles in the parking areas. Great size kitchen table and family room. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Annual family beach trip 7/30-8/6/22

We had a wonderful stay at Smile and Wave located 2nd row Ocean Isle Beach. Sitting on the front porch looking at the ocean with nice breezes in the evenings was pure bliss. It’s a well appointed home that fit our family of 12. Owners have truly tried to think of anything you would need. It was a true luxury to have all the beds made upon check in. The only issue we had was one morning the upstairs A/C quit working. Owner was contacted and had someone there in less than 2 hours. Owner stayed in contact to make sure everything was taken care of. Beach access very close, just 2 houses away! Would highly recommend staying at this lovely home!

Great house and location to beach

The house was perfect for our family of 9 people (7 adults/2 kids). House was exceptionally clean and the location to the beach was great. Beds and pillows were very comfortable which is not always the case with beach rentals. It is apparent the owners take great pride in maintaining their property and in providing a hassle free experience to their guests. Luke was very responsive and helpful. Our best beach rental experience in many years. Highly recommend Smile and Wave.

Great house for three generations!

We loved this house for its proximity to the beach, spacious living area, and big porches. We ate most of our meals on the upper porch and enjoyed the rocking chairs and couch for relaxing outdoors. The lower porch was a nice getaway with a hammock. The dining room table was big enough to accommodate our group of ten for meals and games and the well designed and comfortable living area had more seating than most beach houses. The owner was available and responsive to our questions. It was a great beach house for our family.

Perfect beach week!

We had a wonderful week in OIB! We were so pleased with the house. From the well stocked kitchen to the rocking chairs on the porch to the beach access across the street…it was perfect! Luke is super about communicating during the week. We are ready to book next summer!
