Gorgeously located on the shores of Squamish Harbor in Port Ludlow, this water-view home exudes calm, relaxation, and serene natural beauty in every season. It's a wonderful spot to spend the summer collecting seashells on the beach across the street and winter holidays curled up under a blanket with a view of Puget Sound. The interior living space is full of natural light, with windows throughout the home that frame views of either the ocean or the surrounding evergreen canopy. Come home from a morning on the beach, a kayaking excursion, pickle ball court, or an exploration of the Olympic Peninsula to toss the day's clothes in the private washer/dryer and both prepare and eat dinner with an incredible view. Bring your coffee and dessert outside to the deck, and settle in for a good show or a movie in either the loft or the downstairs den.
This water-view home is located on Squamish Harbor in the peaceful community of Port Ludlow, where you'll be just two miles down the road from Shine Tidelands State Park, a great place for fishing, harvesting shellfish, birding, kayaking, and walking the beach. The small town of Port Ludlow is six miles north, where you'll find the marina, the Port Ludlow Golf Club, and the Village Market for your convenience. And if you're looking to explore this lovely part of the Olympic Peninsula even further, you'll find the charming Victorian town of Port Townsend only 22 miles north.

The pictures did not do this place justice. It's bigger and more beautiful than we expected! The game room, basketball court and open second story made this the perfect getaway to celebrate my niece's birthday with her cousins. We enjoyed it immensely and they can't wait to go back.
The host was welcoming and responsive. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and instructions were clear and delivered well before they were needed. Very organized and streamlined process.
The place is a fantastic place to relax and spend some time enjoying nature, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It's extremely spacious but it still feels cozy and "warm". Food delivery in the area takes longer, if you're used to a more city cwntric environment but there's plenty of places close by for you to drive to, so it's not a big issue. There are also lots of interesting places nearby you can go exploring. This was definitely one of the most relaxing stays I've had in quite a while! 10 out of 10!
I rented this for my mother and her friends for her 75th birthday. The house has such a wonderful set up to accommodate different families sharing a space. The view was beautiful and everything was very clean and cozy.
The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating for last minute, unexpected requests. They were also very organized, proactive about sending check-in and check-out information ahead of time, and were a major reason as to why the stay was hassle-free. The home is beautiful and spacious; everyone had their own room and bed and the beds were comfortable and clean. The entire house was clean and tidy. The home had stunning views and was near a beach which was a fun plus! This stay had incredible value for money and would gladly stay again if we're ever in the area. Highly recommend this home to others!
Nice house, gorgeous view. Had some frustration about amenities, as the fireplace was not working through our visit, and the listing still indicated beach access at the time, even though the stairs end on a sudden drop instead of hitting the beach. Support was responsive to feedback, which was appreciated.

Thank you for choosing Shine Road Retreat with spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains and the beach. Beach walks along Shine Road are sought after. The pellet stove is in working order, pellets are provided, beach access is locally available depending on tides. Please know that we provide 24/7 support for guest feedback and are responsive to any questions or concerns. We appreciate your feedback and hope we can host you again.

Our Seattle family vacation
It was a beautiful home, in a peaceful remote setting overlooking Squamish Harbor. We had 9 people, and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
Kitchen setup was good but we could have used more small plates. Can lights in living room do not work. Four adults over 70 and both wives in wheelchairs and we will stay again

The home worked out very well for our multi-generational family. The view is great. Suggest bringing bottled water, as the tap water has an odor.

Amazing location!
This house is so relaxing and super accommodating. Will book again without hesitation.
Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. My only suggestion is to replace the plumbing fixtures in the tub/shower combo off of the kitchen and have the drains throughout the home cleaned. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you.
We loved the location and ease of access! One of the numbers on the keypad was difficult to push and made the door a little hard to open. The tops of the cabinets were visibly dusty from the loft. Overall very comfortable, beautiful views, and we would stay again!
House was nice - lots of room & clean. View was great, though there was no view from the bedrooms upstairs. The code for the door was too long to enter quickly,
This home was exactly what my friends and I needed for our gathering. There was enough space for all of us. Walking through the door, it felt like stepping into the 90s because of the decor. But the home was very cozy. The walls were thick that noise did not penetrate which was a plus since we had a toddler with us who was able to nap. The location was conveniently close to the main road. We were able to explore the nearby areas. The small dock by the water was a nice spot to relax. Unfortunately it was raining during our stay so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor amenities much. The only negative is the WiFi connection which was weak so we couldn’t watch a movie or play video games. So be prepared to find alternative ways to enjoy yourselves but we were able to play board games and enjoy each others company. Overall, a great place to stay considering the location and the cost! Worth the stay in my opinion!
