Hotel style bedroom with queen bed & private bath, cozy!
The room is named the Angle Room, as most angles are not square. Bedroom walls are made of cedar, giving the room a warm feel. The space is about 200 sf, not big but very cozy. It has a queen bed, streaming TV, mini fridge, microwave oven and electric kettle. There is a closet to hang clothes and space below the bed to store bags. There are no cooking facilities for this bedroom, but several options less than a mile away for meals. Quiet neighborhood! You’ll love our place for its ambiance, location, neighborhood and outdoors. It is designed for a couple or solo adventurer, not for two people party.

The room was super cozy and comfortable, and Bernard was very communicative and helpful. Overall, a very convenient location if you're looking to get to Kirkwood easily.
This room was great. It is a small but beautifully decorated room with a shower along with a gorgeous view from the patio. The owners were very nice and responsive during our stay. We would highly recommend to anyone interested in staying in Kirkwood.
Barely bigger than the bed this property comes with a wonderful bathroom and closet with microwave, thoughtful touches like a kettle and tea mugs, and a microwave. It's perfect for a couple or single adult. You probably aren't here to enjoy the tasteful pine shingled construction, radiant heat that keeps it cozy, or delightful views of the meadow. But they are all delightful pluses after a day of sending it.
Best feature is that it is at Kirkwood, about 10min walk to chair 7 with gear. It is quiet, peaceful, clean and well kept. Host is easy to communicate with and clear instructions provided. The drawbacks are the smaller bed, it is a queen, but you lose a few inches with the soft headboard and and a footboard that does not allow any hang off, so anyone 6ft or taller is likely going to feel cramped, and the only window is the sliding door, so opening up for fresh air means you are leaving the door open. That being said, we would stay here again and we did enjoy our stay.

By all means, if the standard bed is too short for you, move the “soft head” aside and place it below the bed, like any extra pillows.
Just back from a Kirkwood stay in this amazing room that was well maintained with luxury upgrades with heated floors and towel rack. The bed was comfy and all the amenities were provided for a blizzard storm with microwave, hot water kettle, plates, utensils, mini fridge, racks to dry ski clothes in the bathroom and free parking out front. The room stayed warm and cozy all weekend. Bertrand was very responsive and gave great info at check in to get you set up. The location is perfect! I would love to stay here again and will be returning!
Thank you Bertrand!
My grandson and I had a wonderful stay here in this very comfy and cozy room. Close to Kirkwood ski resort, which made it very convenient for us. Bertrand was very helpful and even helped us carry our bags in, since the roads were snowy from the storm. The bed was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is getting new towels. The ones provided were old and very scratchy. We didn’t realize that nearby restaurants would be closed, and I wish we would’ve brought something to heat up for dinner, but we ended up driving to Meyers for pizza, which was quite the adventure in the storm, but it all worked out. We would definitely stay here again.
This was by far the worst stay. The property manager is very unresponsive, the WiFi connection was super weak, you have no control over the thermostat; the detachable shower head did not work, the towel warmer was cold most of the time. All the above were mentioned during the stay, and none were taken care of. The worst part of this stay was that the property manager has a surveillance camera installed right outside the door WITHOUT it being disclosed in the property description. VRBO policy; "Location and coverage of devices must be disclosed on the property description page". The property manager was literally spying on every move of the guest. The point of a vacation rental is so that you can have a peaceful time away from your routine life, this stay(especially the spying) gives you exactly the opposite of that feeling.

In twelve years of hosting and hundreds of guests, this was our worst experience. The guest misrepresented himself, lied repeatedly and ignored the rules that he had to agree to when booking.
1-He said he was coming alone and then came with someone (announced as his brother).
2-He also had guests for more than an hour despite our no third-party rules due to COVID-19.
3-He, his brother and their two visitors smoked on the premises despite our no smoking policy, and kept doing so until the final departure
4-He left food on the deck that could attract wildlife (coyote, bears, etc...) which can be very detrimental to wildlife and to our cabin. When notified, he kept the food on the deck nevertheless.
5- He did not respond to our inquiry about
COVID-19 vaccination and therefore we did not want to interact directly with them.
6-He checked out an hour late despite having been told it was not possible, both by SMS and by phone, because of the cleaning schedule.
When my wife tried to have him leave the property, he said he had been authorized to stay longer (which is another lie) and was very threatening. My wife almost called the security of the village.
7- He kept complaining about things I could not reproduce:
7-1—internet not working: we have fiber optic which is very reliable and a mesh router. We tested at the time the network and had no troubles. We tested in the bedroom itself after the departure and it was working fine.
7-2 a shower head is not working. I tested after his departure and all five of the shower heads were working.
7-3 Upon departure, the client complained about having only one blanket to sleep. He must not have realized that the bed had a comforter with a comforter cover and sheets. The bed had not been opened.
7-4 There are indeed no video camera in the unit. However as disclosed on the VRBO site, we have an external camera by the driveway leading to the cabin and a video ring bell, both outside and not in the rental unit area. Both are disclosed on the VRBO page. This is another lie.
8-The cover of our recycle bin has disappeared during the stay.
It seems the whole thing is a ploy to stay somewhere without paying. He is actually trying to get the credit card refunded.
We share our cabin to optimize earth resources use but this kind of guest make us reconsider.
This little studio is perfect for a trip to Kirkwood for a snowboard/ski trip! My partner and I enjoyed our weekend in Kirkwood and especially enjoyed the convenient location (minutes to the closets ski lifts)! The studio also had all the essentials so we could stay in for the night if we didn’t want to venture out for dinner. I would definitely stay at Bertrand’s again.
