Deer Run Retreat Great fishing cabin!

Nice setting with scattered trees, lots of wildlife to watch while you enjoy coffee. 1 bedroom with a full-size bed, 1 bath and large living room with a queen size hide-a-bed. There is even room for an air mattress too! There is a fire pit and grill to enjoy during your stay.
Also there are no steps, great for elderly people or people who cannot climb stairs!There is also an outside dog pen available to use. (dogs not allowed in the house without permission)Only 1 mile to Ruark Bluff where there is a boat dock on one side of the road, and the beach on the other side of the road with children’s play area and picnic area.

Our stay at the Deer Run Retreat was great. It was super clean, quiet and cozy and a nice place to crash after spending the day helping family members who live nearby, with their home remodeling. We definitely would recommend it.

I absolutely loved the property! Woke Saturday morning walked outside to see a 6 point buck

The road in was sketchy on a motorcycle, but all worth it! Beautiful area, wildlife, peaceful!

Great location

I liked how quiet it was and the woods surrounding the edge of the property was full of life. The house itself was interesting. Plenty of space and very convenient location if you want to spend most of your time on the lake.

Great little base camp!

A few friends decided to do a little archery deer camp around Stockton lake and this was the perfect spot! Centrally located and had everything we needed. Debra was a great host. Thanks! Will stay again.

Location was as excellent. A quiet country setting and we could drive to boat ramp in less than 5 minutes. House was more than adequate with all our basic essentials. Host was great and a pleasure to deal with. Truly couldn't hope for a better experience.

Hunting trip

A few men from our church have joined to take this trip the past two years and stayed at Debra’s property. It’s been just what we needed and she is a wonderful host. Thank you so much! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp for exploring all the lake area has to offer.

Best place near stockton lake.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Its quiet and comfortable. The host was excellent and took care of any of our questions or concerns. Its a very roomy space, so you won't feel confined during your stay. The full size kitchen and fridge is excellent. And the fishing at Stockton Lake is all time, world class. We will be back.

Impressions

This is my 2nd stay at this cabin. It's an excellent place for a small family or just an individual. It's clean, comfortable and off the beaten path. It is also reasonably priced and I hope it will stay that way. I will most certainly stay there again, probably in the spring if it's available. Thanks again to the owner.

Going fishing

I found this property a few weeks prior to my trip and was surprised how close it was to the lake. The cabin was perfectly setup for visitors with all supplies readily available. I was very impressed how clean and organized the cabin was upon my arrival. Debra was very responsive in any of my questions. I'll definitely be back in the near future.

Great location! Hard to find

We got down late at night and couldnt find the location. GPS sends you to an intersection. Very quickly after messenging the owner, she responded. The beds were comfy. There were a couple spiders but nothing uncomon for the area. The AC kept the living room cool, the bedroom wasnt bad if you keep the door open. I would definitely stay again as it was well worth the price.
