If you’re looking for peace and quiet and unspoiled nature—if you’d rather be woken up by waterfowl than the noise of cars—then we have the perfect home for you. It’s located in a protected landscape area on Hemmelmarker Lake, which you can see from the terrace. The lake is under lease, so unfortunately, swimming and fishing are prohibited. After walking 100 metres through the oak forest, you’ll reach the lake pier. Your children or your pet can play freely on the large, fully fenced-in property. After about 600 metres through fields and woods, you’ll reach a secluded natural beach on Eckernförde Bay; 4 bicycles and 2 children’s bikes are available for this purpose. You can transport your beach gear, picnic basket, and of course your little ones using the handcart. The house is fully equipped and has internet access. There are five sleeping spots and a travel cot for children in two bedrooms. Upstairs is a bathroom with a shower, and downstairs is a bathroom with a tub. Want to get a taste of city life? The charming little harbour town of Eckernförde is just 3 km away. Ideal for golfers—6 courses within a 35-km radius.


Special features: A romantic location right on Lake Hemmelmarker with a dock (the dock was newly renovated in 2018). 600 m to the Baltic Sea beach. Perfect for jogging, walking, biking, power walking, mountain biking, etc. The property is fully enclosed, making it ideal for children and pets; the street is car-free. It’s bordered on two sides by an oak forest. Cars can be parked in a paved parking area within the property. The parking area has space for three cars. Bicycles, playground equipment, and a washing machine are located in the outbuilding. Six golf courses in the immediate vicinity (Altenhof/Eckernförde, 6 km away—beautiful old trees, 18-hole course) or a golf course on the Schlei. A newly built 18-hole course, 19 km towards Schleswig. A fantastic course with long fairways and views of the Schlei. Or: Towards Kiel, 21 km, plus additional courses towards Rendsburg. Cycling tours in the surrounding area are highly recommended. You’ll find excellent bike paths that take you past historic manor houses and vast estates.

Places to visit: Eckernförde: seawater wave pool, beach promenade, shopping; Gettdorf (10 km towards Kiel), a very nice small zoo with a petting zoo; Kiel: aquarium, numerous shopping options; Altenhof (3 km towards Kiel), 18-hole golf course; Damp 2000, a beautiful water park, a magnificent beach, and a sauna area; Haithabu, about 3 km from Schleswig, an ancient Viking settlement and museum; Schleswig, about 20 km away, featuring the cathedral and the picturesque fishing village; Gottdorf Castle with the State Museum, rotating art exhibitions, and original bog bodies. Kappeln, also known as Dekelsen, the town of the country doctor. The “Country Doctor’s Practice” is located in Lindaunis, the beautiful little village on the Schlei. Or you can take a stroll through Arnis, Germany’s smallest town. It goes without saying that you can enjoy wonderful dining everywhere. The idyllic village of Sieseby on the Schlei, with its enchanting thatched-roof houses, is well worth a visit.
