About the host
Hosted by Cathy Adler

Hello! We are John and Cathy Adler. We came to the Bootheel a couple of years ago for the dark skies and ended up liking the area. When property came up for sale, we bought it to winter here and to share it with others looking for dark skies or other outdoor opportunities in the area.
For the past six years after retiring, we have been living full-time in our motor home traveling around the country. Prior to retiring we owned a campground in the Black Hills of South Dakota and prior to that John worked as an engineer for the State of South Dakota Transportation office. Prior to the campground, Cathy worked as the executive director of the local United Way.
W e hope you get some awesome photos of the night sky, get the chance to see a bird never seen before or maybe have a nice hike. Oh yeah, and maybe take some time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
