Thank you for the kind review. I’m so glad you enjoyed the home and the location, and that the house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I’m especially happy the firewood helped make your time here a little extra cozy. It was a pleasure hosting you, and you’re always welcome back anytime your travels bring you to the Whitefish and Glacier area.
Everything was as described and than some! Perfect size for our family of 16. A great hub for our winter vacation. Kitchen was stocked the best of any vrbo ive ever had. The host LuAnn was very accommodating.
We loved our stay at this property. There were 11 members in our family and everyone had enough space to 'chill' and gather as a family. Games and outdoor sports items were available for the grandboys. We had one issue with the hot tub that was addressed immediately. The service and communication with LuAnn was wonderful . I would recommend this property to anyone with a large family. Little incidentals like paper towels, shampoo/bath wash, laundry detergent, dish soap, etc were provided on-site even though we supplied our own.The location was ideal for travel to Whitfish or Kiaspell and only 30 minutes from Glacier NP.We had a great week with our family.
All fine. Host stayed very responsive and answered any questions and was supportive when our flight out was cancelled. Pictures were accurate. It's a very nice place.

Thank you for your kind review. I’m so glad the home worked well for your stay and that everything matched what you expected from the photos. Travel plans don’t always cooperate, so I was happy to help when your flight was cancelled.
It was a pleasure hosting you, and I’m glad you were able to enjoy some time here in the Whitefish and Glacier area. You’re always welcome back anytime.
It is a large log house that comfortably accommodates a large family. It is surrounded by nature - a unique experience. I found dozens of dead bugs on the floor. That could be remedied by someone inspecting the house before the guests' arrival.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for staying with us.
We take great care in preparing the home for each arrival and will continue refining our inspection process.
We’re glad you enjoyed the space and the unique natural setting.
We got married in Glacier National Park and this home was perfect for our family and friends. Plenty of room, the fire & hot tub were added bonuses! Would definitely rent again!
Sixteen family members used Walking Bear as base camp for 10 days in NW Montana. Great location - easy to get to Whitefish, Kalispell, Big Fork, Flathead Lake, Whitefish Lake, and Glacier. House had just about everything we could have needed and the hot tube and large backyard were put to good use.
This large home is located in a great area with easy access to Glacier National Park, Kalispell and the surrounding area. I have rented homes for many years for family gatherings and this the most well stocked home I have rented. LuAnn is a superb host! She is very responsive, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely stay her again if we return to the area.
Amazing! Property was perfect for 5 couples! Each couple had their own bathroom. Kitchen was large and well equipped. LuAnn very responsive to our questions. Beautiful setting and close to Whitefish and GNP entrance. Would definitely recommend and will stay on property in the future.
We spent time in glacier after getting married on Flathead Lake and stayed at Lu Ann’s beautiful cabin afterwards with family. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the large kitchen and spending time around the fire pit.
A group of 17 family members, ages 9 months to 88 years old, all enjoyed our stay! The home is conveniently located near Glacier’s west entrance and equipped with amenities that suit every age!
House is as described, Owner is very helpful in suggesting restaurants, places to see, and how to get into the park.

Why they chose this property
I have traveled across the country for years. looking a place that has it all .Whitefish, Montana isn't the only place where you can ski, golf , hike and fish but it is one of the only ones I know that you can do it all in the same day. It is the endless vacation. The summer days are so long that I often joke that it is hard to go to bed when you have to wear sun glasses. I dreamed of one day moving back to Lake Tahoe but when I found Whitefish it was still unspolied like I remember Lake Tahoe being years ago. The deal breaker for me was Glacier National Park. The last completely intact ecosystem. I believe that being connected to nature is essential to being healthy and happy. Be careful when you come here you just might not leave..I didn't.
What makes this property unique
When you come to Montana you want to wake up feeling like you are in Montana. If you want to wake up in a hotel room and eat at McDonalds you can do that any where. I wanted you to wake up and look out upon the fir trees and pines from your real log lodge. If you look, you can see Deer, moose and horses. The wild turkeys sometimes will wake you up with their morning stroll. At night, the howls of coyotes in the distance will sing you to sleep. You are close to everything. One of my goals was that you spend as little time in a car as possible. Most of the area attractions are 10-15 minutes at the most ,in your car. Glacier park is 30 minutes. To me it is the perfect place. Food shopping and getting all that may be necessary is only minutes away. I even have a chef that will prepare meals and leave them in the fridge so that all you have to do is play and relax. You can stroll the grounds in the evening and sit out by the firepit making smores feeling like you are in a commercial for the perfect vacation. You don't have to miss a single comfort of home. There is WiFi through out and plenty of space for your furry child (dog) to enjoy the vacation as much as you do.
