Fantastic apartment in Ascona, Lake Maggiore

The apartment is 140sqm in size and, thanks to its 4.5 rooms, is ideal for 2 people as well as for a couple with children.

There are two bedrooms, a bedroom and study, a large living and dining room and two balconies (loggia). In the basement there is a heated indoor pool and sauna, as well as a washing machine with dryer. A covered parking space belongs to the apartment.

The apartment is very quiet, in the middle of Ascona in a residential area, supermarket and bakery are not far. The public beach is a seven-minute walk away. The promenade can be reached in about 10-15 minutes on foot. There is a golf course, a playground, a soccer field and a tennis court nearby.

Bed linen and towels must be brought!

Ascona and its surroundings have a lot to offer: beautiful lakes, promenade in Ascona, Locarno, Lugano, Como, lonely mountain hiking trails, mountain streams and waterfalls for swimming, pizza, pasta and polenta.

Family holiday in Ascona

Beautiful property, well equipped, fantastically clean, very tastefully furnished and decorated. Spacious, good bathrooms and kitchen. Location great for lake and local shops. VRBO listing was contradictory about whether bed linen and towels were provided but host sorted graciously. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Ausstattung sehr größzügig, Kücheneinrichtung:Kaffeemaschiene, Geschirr ,Schüssel, Pfannen und alles was zum täglichen Gebrauch von Nöten war. Großes Wohnzimmer und zwei Bäder. Sehr gepflegter Zustand. In ruhiger Lage. Uferpromenade zu Fuß zu erreichen 10 Min. Abwicklung mit Vermieter Problemlos. Einziges Manko nur ein Stellplatz direkt am Haus. Können wir sehr empfehlen.

Wir, d.h. Ehepaar und Freund/Begleiter waren für sechs Tage in dieser FeWo. Unser Aufenthaltszweck in Ascona war Klettern, womit wir (Ende April) wirklich Glück hatten: Von sechs Tagen an fünfen Sonnenbandgefahr! Die Wohnung ist perfekt geeignet für zwei "Parteien" mit jeweils eigenem Schlafzimmer/Badezimmer. Die Austattung, vor allem die vielen Kleinigkeiten, die man im Haushalt halt ab und an braucht, sind liebevol und durchdacht. Beim nächsten Mal Ascona kommen wir gerne wieder.

wonderful time

We stayed for several days during the Locarno Film Festival. This flat is very generous in size and in a quiet neighborhood. A very nice balcony with trees between you and the neighbors – though the buildings are a good distance apart. There is an elevator and I think maybe only 16 units. There are large rooms in the basement with washers and clothing lines and a neighbor showed me how to work everything. We loved our stay. The owners left Beach Club access cards and the apartment was a reasonable (we like to walk) distance to the Beach Club and Ascona town (which feels like a smaller, more charming and high-end version of Locarno) with restaurants and shops. To Locarno center you need a bicycle or car. The indoor pool is the best part though: perfect for our 8 year old (and us adults) - wonderful temperature - seldom found others there, so it was like having our own private pool! There is no air conditioner or screens in the unit and we had unusually hot weather, but an electric fan and mosquito abatement plug ins (we bought in Locarno) made that all manageable. Kitchen was well equipped (though we didn’t do a lot of cooking). The owners were extremely accommodating as the festival staff had to work with them to finalize arrangements. Note that you must supply your own linens and towels. Other great things to do with an 8 year old are rent a motor boat and let them steer it around the lake, from Locarno take the trams up to the church and then to the top of the mountain, drive up river where there are natural waterfalls and pools– bring bathing suits, towels and a picnic lunch – and be prepared for really cold water!
