Absolute Perfection!!! We stayed at Hemlock Hill over Thanksgiving and could not have been more impressed. The house was immaculate and a wonderful place to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner with our son and his fiancé. This house has all of the convinces of home but located in a very private Adirondack setting. Our hosts were the best host we have ever had. They were so accommodating and even set up a texting group for quick questions that may arise. The internet connection is provided by Starlink and it worked flawlessly. This is truly an great place to stay year round. Highly recommended!
We had such a great time! Lindsay and John went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at either of their places. They have thought of every thing to ensure you and your family have a good time.

Great location and beautiful property. Perfect for a large group!
The hosts were so responsive and accommodating. Even with a major snowstorm they did not miss a beat. The 2+ feet of snow was out of the driveway and place was warm and cozy..

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Hemlock Hill. John & Lindsay have a beautiful home close to so many things to do in the ADK mountains. They gave us many wonderful suggestions of things to do in the area. They were very accommodating and their home is immaculate, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed to make our stay fun and enjoyable. We hope to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hemlock Hill! The house and property are wonderful - our group was four adults and two kids under 13, and it was comfortable and well-appointed for all our needs. The location was perfect for quick and easy travel to the activities we wanted to do - hiking and biking trails, kayaking, rail biking, and great restaurants. John and Lindsay seem to have thought of everything, and we look forward to another visit!

My friends and I stayed at Hemlock Hill Lodge for my bachelorette. We absolutely loved it! The lodge was so clean and the perfect size for a group of 10. We loved how well stocked the kitchen was and that there was a grill and outdoor furniture. This place really has everything you would want for your trip to Lake George. It’s in a secluded area but only a short drive away from all the things to do around the lake. Highly recommend staying at Hemlock Hill if you are considering a trip!

Plenty of room, yet a cozy feel.
John & Lindsay were great with communication and any help if we had questions.
If we travel back to the area, we would definitely rent from them again.

We stayed at Hemlock Hill Lodge for a week in mid-October and loved our first trip to the Adirondacks. The Lodge was a great home base for adventuring throughout the Adirondacks and nearby Vermont.
Our kids loved the creek in the front yard and the basement game room and we loved the soaking tub and large shower in the main bathroom. The Lodge was spacious, but still felt cozy and it was a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The owners were very communicative and even gave us some suggestions for things to do while we stayed at their property.

Jeremy and his family were great guests and kept great communication. We were so happy to host them for their first time in the ADK's! They left the home clean and just the way they found it. We would absolutely have them back again!
I rented the house to stay with family for wedding on the lake nearby. The house is spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room at the table for everyone to sit, eat and catch up, but also enough space to spread out in the house too! The owners were thorough with instructions and quick to respond on a couple questions I had when I checked in.
I had to scramble to find a house for my group at last minute when another rental fell through and so glad this was available.. it was great!

Renting with John and Lindsay was a real pleasure. The house is perfect for a family get together. A large open area for everyone to be together and plenty of space for alone time. Everything is well documented and John and Lindsay get back to any questions super quick. The house is well equipped with a game room, games, and outdoor equipment. My 11 year old loved the vintage Nintendo in his bedroom. There are lots of nice little touches like this. We loved our stay and experience.

Hey Mark,
It was our pleasure to host you. Thanks for the nice words and great communication throughout your stay. We'd love to have you guys back anytime. Have a great summer!
From the check in process, to every amenity you could think of being at your fingertips in the house! A bathroom on every level = game changer. The decor, the layout, the kitchen!! I can’t think of one thing we’d change other than booking longer! John and Lindsay were available at ANY time and that alone shows how much they care. The house was immaculately clean, fully stocked with legit everything! Just bring yourself, your friends and some food! 🍻 Such a peaceful little oasis and I can’t thank them enough for opening it up and allowing guests to enjoy the wonders of upstate NY! Can’t wait to go back in the fall! If you’re thinking about booking, you won’t regret it! This is the house for you!

It's music to our ears to hear our guests enjoyed their stay! We loved hosting your group and look forward to hosting you in the future. You're welcome back anytime!
Our stay at Hemlock Lodge was fantastic. The owners were fabulous to work with. Their response time and availability is on point. They are committed to making their rental home a great one. The lodge is super clean and quite spacious. We had a group of 8 and everyone had their own space and privacy. The lodge is equipped with everything you would during your stay. The coffee bar was fantastic. There are many special touches to this home including the decor with all the Adirondack furnishings. There are kayaks and canoes for your use, generous outdoor space on the deck with a large grill, outdoor lighting and lots of furniture. An awesome fire pit with wood and Adirondack chairs to roast s’mores, a basketball court and trail heads for hiking right on the property. The area was quiet and private but only a few miles to the Northway which made it very convenient. I would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to John and Lindsay the owners.

Thank you so much for all your kind words. It was our pleasure to host you. We are so glad you all got some much needed family relaxation time. Please come back anytime!
Overall, the stay was enjoyable and a good opportunity for family time. The house was clean and inviting, the beds were comfortable, and there were puzzles and games to enjoy together. The air hockey table quit working on the first day, but there was fortunately foosball and shuffleboard to enjoy. There was no dishwasher, noted in the listing, so bringing some disposable dishes helps for larger groups. The location was away from everything, yet close enough to the conveniences of food and shopping. We had fun fishing nearby, taking a walk down to the brook and seeing a deer out the window.

About the host
Hosted by Lindsay McAloney
“Our dream come true, we want to share with you!” We are John and Lindsay and have always dreamed of having a place in the ADKS for our family to make memories. John, an avid outdoorsman who enjoys landscaping, fishing, hunting, hiking and a good craft beer and Lindsay, a high school teacher, theatre director, who loves a good project, are so excited to take on this new adventure. The home was handcrafted by the previous owner and we’ve enjoyed finishing it and adding our own special touches. Most of the ADK style furniture was handmade by John, while Lindsay’s decorative touches can be seen throughout.
Why they chose this property
John has been coming to the Adirondacks for forever and has always dreamed of having a place here. After bringing Lindsay on a few trips to the area, she quickly fell in love and was fully on board for this new adventure. After looking at multiple homes in areas all around Lake George, they excitedly decided on this area as it is in the middle of EVERYTHING. Whether we want to take the kids skiing, our friends to a brewery, a quick shopping trip, or a fancy dinner, we are in the heart of it all with a short drive to everything. We feel like we've found a diamond in the rough.
What makes this property unique
When looking for the perfect ADK escape, this property boasts it all, which is why we fell in love with it. From the long private driveway. and hearing the stream as you enter the home, to the warm floors under your feet and the welcoming great room. There is a sense of silence, serenity, and coziness that we hope you feel as well. Sitting on our deck, we can enjoy a sunrise over the mountain or a seasonal sunset over the pond. Our proximity to everything Adirondack is hands down the best, in our opinion, from any of the other homes we found during our extensive search while house hunting.
