Our host was amazing and the property was perfect! We had 6 people and had ample room! Would definitely book again. Perfect evening sunsets, great fire pit and water toys available!
The property was perfect for our family vacation the week of July 4. 6 adults and 2 kids under 3. Carol our host was very responsive to a few questions. Spacious house and the paddle boards and kayaks were a hit. Location was very convenient for day trips to Leland, Suttons Bay, Traverse City of course and even the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Great time all around and of course the setting on Lake Leelanau was beautiful.
We rented this home for our daughter's destination wedding in Traverse City. The size of the home was awesome (6 adults/4 kids) and additional people came throughout the day. It was only ten minutes from downtown. Being on the lake; there was always something to do (the home had paddleboards and kayaks) and the view was amazing. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and never felt crowded. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again.
Kitchen is large, open and easily accessible. Everything was very clean. My only suggestion would be to take the door down to the laundry room and replace it with a curtain as access is a bit tight to the washer and dryer. Outdoor equipment--kayaks, stand-up paddle board, water shoes, tables, chairs--all in good condition and we used them extensively. Carol was incredibly responsive, yet respected our privacy. Property is lovely at the lake. And Carol has some beautiful paintings of her own creation decorating some of the rooms. Fine hostess and artist, too. My family and I would definitely consider returning. Lots to do in the area and beaches galore. Thank you, Carol, for your gracious hospitality.
We enjoyed the home and its beautiful views of the lake.
Lots of nice water toys were available.
We marveled at the wonderful sunsets and enjoyed setting around the campfire.
All 9 adults a 3 year and two year old in our party found a comfortable bed.
We would have benefited from a checkout list at check out time. Our stay was marred a bit by a strange stomach illness that we all eventual came down with.
Highly recommend this spot - quiet & peaceful lakefront with a beautiful view of South Lake Leelanau.
Dock for swimming / boating and kayaks provided were alot of fun. Be sure to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leland, and Suttons Bay.
Carol was a great host. We ran into one issue with the refrigerator and she jumped into action providing coolers with ice and a replacement delivered the very next day. Couldn't have been handled any better.
This home worked great for our family vacation of 12 people. Room enough for for us to be together without feeling like we were on top of one another. We vacation on ONLY Lake Leelanau and it is hard to find a sizeable place to rent. We have outgrown previous properties. It was a definite plus to have the kayaks and paddle boards to use to keep the teens and tweens entertained. The assortment of water shoes was a much appreciated bonus! Close enough to TC but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Very comfortable and had everything we could need. A little pricey compared to what we have paid in past years but it met our expectations.

? Thank you for the complementary review, However the sentiment was not reflected in the rating.
Beautiful property on the lake, just 15-20 minutes away from downtown Traverse City. The surrounding area is quiet, and it was nice to have this lot to ourselves. The host was very accommodating, and we were able to find sleeping accommodations for 10 adults. We spent most of the day kayaking on the water and using the fire pit in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to make meals. One thing to be aware of is that there are limited Lyft/Uber drivers, and we didn't get lucky and had to drive into town for bar hopping and dinner. So, make sure you have a few DDs! The property is large and took time to cool down, I would have liked more rooms to have window ACs. My only other suggestion is that the property could use a bit of a deeper clean in the less visible areas of the house; we found a handful of friendly spiders and other insects in closets, corners, and ceilings. Of course, this is in the summer on the lake, so expect there to be bugs and insects getting their way into the property. I would definitely return to this location!
We would definitely stay here again. The lake water was a great way to bathe as the hot water was hard to come by as well as the water pressure being a little low. The house was extremely clean. The location was perfect. We had a great time!
This lakefront property on the stunning Lake Leelanau is exactly the location I was hoping it would be, on an even larger property than expected. We had e-bikes delivered and rode up to Suttons Bay and down to Traverse City from the house. My young adult children found the 1970s vintage house decor fascinating.
Wonderful location, attractively landscaped, generous supply of water toys, excellent fire pit, exceptionally well equipped kitchen and outdoor gas grill, comfortable living/dining room space, good Wi-Fi, comfortable beds. Two full baths, one upstairs and one downstairs, neither attached to a bedroom. One half bath ensuite with one upstairs bedroom. Shower water pressure low, tankless water heater seems to be on a timer that does not always match times one wishes to bathe. Owner thought and care show in cleanliness, furnishing and good repair of property, also responsiveness to renters' questions/requests.
The property was nice overall. We loved the outdoor space. The first couple of days were hot and the air conditioning is not in all the rooms. We had to buy box fans to help circulate the air. We had 8 adults and 2 children which was 2 adults too many. The downstairs bedroom was not great for adults. If you took out the old computer desk, trundle bed and the TV cabinet you could put in a full or queen bed with a lovely view of the lake, and add a wardrobe. We did have a great week with the whole family together and had plenty of room in the living area for playing cards and games in the evening. Thanks for having us!
Carol was a pleasure to work with and totally accommodating! We had rental car trouble and she loaned us jumper cables! Needed a cooler and it was left for us. Her instant responses were helpful!
When asked during booking process Carol did say the beach had a few rocks…and it does. Luckily she had lots of water shoes in the supply chest!
My stay included 6 adults and 4 kids (aged 8-14) and everyone had a blast. The house had all of the basics we needed, plenty of space, and the perfect location to feel “away from it all” while still having tons of wineries & things to do within 10-15 mins. The kayaks and paddleboards in particular were a big hit, and we were glad for the water shoes available at the house as the entry to the water was quite rocky. Loved our time on Lake Leelanau!

It was ok
It felt as if we were staying in someone’s home they live in. There was an ant problem in the kitchen area. They had done some sea wall work and the yard had been replanted. The dock was not easy to hold your boat while loading and unloading. We did love the kayaks and paddle boards. Overall it was ok but not for the price we paid.

Thank you for your review. It is always my intention to have guests feel at home - games, books, and extra kitchen items are left in the house to serve that purpose. I'm glad you enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks.
