Great spot for a getaway, we enjoyed the upper parts of Michigan, the place was tucked back really private. Great place we just wasn't there much, highly recommended
We had a wonderful stay at Lizzie’s place. The setting on the lake is peaceful and quiet, and during our visit we were lucky to get a beautiful snowfall that made everything feel calm and cozy. The large living room windows brought in great views, and the open layout made it easy for everyone to spend time together while still feeling comfortable. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the basics for cooking, and the basement game room was a great bonus — the pool table and games kept both the kids and adults busy. What we appreciated most was how naturally the space brought our family together. Our kids actually put their devices away, and none of us were ready to leave when the trip ended.Lizzie was very responsive and helpful, and communication was smooth from start to finish. The home is well cared for and in great condition. We would gladly return, and would love to experience it again in the summer as well.
What an incredibly enjoyable stay! Our family had a wonderful time here. The weather was beautiful, the beds super comfortable, and oh the peace and quiet. We loved the use of the pontoon and the pool table. The star-filled nights around the bonfire were amazing and the bugs were surprisingly few. We also enjoyed being close to so many attractions. There were plenty of paper and soap products to get us through the week. What a perfect vacation!
This place was great! It was extremely clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. The lake view is beautiful and having a fire right on the lake was so nice. I’d definitely recommend this stay. It is a great location and just a short drive to Traverse City.
We had a wonderful stay at the lake house. The setting was incredibly quiet and peaceful-perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed paddle boarding and fishing on the lake, which was calm and beautiful. The boat was a great bonus and added to the fun. We'd definitely come back!
It is an amazing place to stay, very quiet and secluded. Was a nice place to relax and get away. Will always look for this place to stay on our traverse city trips

Ryan,
Thank you so much! Thats very kind of you! We hope you will be back again soon! :)
My family loved the whole area, cabin was so beautiful. Definitely worth the money to stay for a weekend. Definitely would recommend going here. The view of the lake was stunning. Thank you so much to the owners they have done such amazing work on the cabin.
The house was clean. The cabinets and draws could use an insideCleaning the bottom of the garbage can was dirty. Just attention to detail thingsKitchen had everything you need to cook/bake! The sleeping situation is not conducive for all adults. We thought the bunk beds were fulls on the bottoms:(. But overall we spent the majority of our time outside in awe of the beauty and had an excellent time
A perfect family vacation spot. Pontoon boat, kayaks, Lilly pad, fire pit, deck, was all we could have asked for!!!!

Wonderful cabin on the lake
Great place to stay for our annual “wine down” weekend. Cabin was very clean and well cared for. Loved that while we weren’t totally secluded, it felt like we were.
This was a lovely house. We loved being on Cedar Lake and the kayaks were our favorite outdoor activity. There's a fire pit by the lake. The pontoon ran with no problems. We did have to run the fan, as suggested, because the lower level was cold otherwise. We would stay there again if in the area.
We’ve been doing this same trip for MANY years and the choice we made to stay here was every bit worth it! We will stay again!

I am Lizzie. My Dad built this home and he and my husband take care of maintenance. My mom does all the computer work. We are a very small, family business. <3
Why they chose this property
This home is unique in that it is only a few miles from downtown Traverse City, yet it is surrounded by a local nature conservancy. This means that you'll feel like you're really getting away from it all while you're very close to town.
What makes this property unique
This home was built in 2003. We have a lot of amenities and this is a dedicated vacation rental which means we don't have drawers, closets and cupboards full of our personal items.
