AMAZING Remodeled VINTAGE PALM SPRINGS RESORT! BOOK NOW FOR 2027!

This Home is one-of-a-kind! Vintage Mid Century 'OLD' Palm Springs! Home has been held by the same owner for 41 years and just recently re-introduced to the rental market. Backyard was just RECENTLY REMODELED with a huge Spa/Jacuzzi to die for with mountain views and an expanded pool with a massive tanning ledge!
This is a throwback to the RAT PACK era. We're located steps from the famous Purple Room that has nightly dinner shows! House was remodeled in the style of the late 1960's and the Disco 80's. Furnishings are classic vintage of that era with Turquoise carpet...lavender wall paper and mirrors on many walls.

The home was on the celebrity 'A' list in the late 1960's and boasts to have had many well known Hollywood guests including Ca. Gov. Ronald Reagan who spent many weeks relaxing under the palms. The VERY PRIVATE backyard is huge with a massive patio and views of Mt. San Jacinto. The entire layout has that open feeling.

As you walk into the front door you immediately RELAX as you look out to the pool and mountains from the A-Frame windows. The Living Room has a marble fireplace that leads to the large family Room. Glass sliding doors open onto the patio and pool area. Or you can go directly to the FORMAL DINING ROOM from the foyer. This leads to the large eat-in-kitchen and breakfast nook. There are double ovens and all amenities on the kitchen island. Off the breakfast nook is a large side patio for morning leisure.

The master bedroom suite has a king bed and the bath has a Jacuzzi tub. The 2nd bath has a sunken/step down tub/shower that leads outside to the backyard.

The CHARM of this house is the main attraction. You will see and feel what bygone days were like in Ol' Palm Springs by staying here. All the furnishings give you that feeling of 'good Times' past.

This home has 2600 square feet all on one level(ranch style) Also, there are grapefruit trees in the backyard. The pool is so relaxing and the views so inviting. Call me to discuss any needs you may have that have not been mentioned. Enjoy!!...I know you will!

Also, We have just finished a major remodel in the kitchen and dining area. There is now Terrazzo Tile throughout the kitchen/Family Room. Also, new appliances.

Mid Century At Its Best

This is a special house that we so enjoyed. The neighbourhood is very quiet but close to amenities i.e. restaurants, grocery store, lovely close neighbourhoods to explore. The house is full of light in every room that lifts your spirits even on cloudy days. It is so well stocked: everything from dishes, sheets, towels, patio furniture, appliances, wine fridge, is high end. A big plus for us is the big pool - can actually do laps. At first, viewing the pictures, we wondered about so much “turquoise” but found the decorating to be well done - a soft, quieting decor but without losing the mid century feel. We enjoyed the updated renovations as they added comfort but didn’t take away from the mid century uniqueness. Perhaps the best part of our stay was working directly with the owners, Wayne and Debbie. We had a few problems during the flood as did a lot of houses in Palm Springs. Workmen were there almost immediately and followup was attentive. Although no fault of their own, the owners were very concerned about our disruption. Great people to work with. Thanks you for the use of your lovely home.

Wonderful and comfortable stay!

Very, very clean! Spacious & nicely designed home.Very well equipped in all aspects-kitchen pots & pans, dishes, and lots of bath and beach towels! The backyard was so comfortable we didn't want to leave the house-wonderful pool, patio, and natural gas fire table! This home is only a few blocks away from grocery stores and the bus line; 20 minute walk to Koffi; and only 40 minute walk downtown. The owner was always very quick to respond to any questions. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here!

Beautiful Palm Springs Getaway!

My friends and I wanted a relaxing weekend getaway in Palm Springs from our busy, professional LA lives. We stumbled upon the Duncan residence on HomeAway and were immediately charmed by it's 60s appeal, its pool, location, and size (3 sizable bedrooms). Wayne was super easy to work with and an excellent host - and the house was beautiful and clean. The neighborhood was quiet but the houses are well-spaced so we felt we had privacy. We spent the weekend swimming, cooking, and listening to music. We could not have been more happy with our trip, would highly recommend this house, thank you Wayne!

Very Private, Great Location

This truly is a one-of-a-kind Mid Century Home with an excellent location in south Palm Springs. It has a very private outdoor pool area, providing a great spot to relax and dine. The grapefruit trees were an added bonus providing fresh grapefruit every morning. The home is extremely well equipped with games, books and a kitchen where you will find anything you need for meal preparation. There are 2 master bedrooms at opposite ends of the house making it ideal to share with your guests. The home was very clean when we arrived, in fact we hired the house keeper to clean for us a few times during our 6 week stay. We found Wayne easy to deal with and very accommodating . We would highly recommend a stay.

My family has owned this house since 1967! As a kid, there was such a freedom and sense of perpetual vacation every time we would come to Palm Springs. My brother and I always brought friends and we spent all day in the pool. It's amazing how the house and the experiences are still the same for my kids! It's really a special place with an incredible vibe. That's why we never sold the house and keep coming back.

Why they chose this property

The house is a short 3 min walk to The Purple Room! This was one of "The Rat Pack's" Palm Springs hangouts.

Also, we are a 4 min walk to the "Buzz Bus" A local free transportation to Downtown Palm Springs that operates until 1 am.
