We really enjoyed the spacious elk valley retreat. This is the second time we have stayed there and everything was clean and the beds so comfortable. The primary bedroom is private and spacious and the second bedroom is comfortable too. A great entry to leave wet or muddy clothes or ice chests. The surroundings are so peaceful and many places to walk and enjoy nature. Quiet back roads and many views of nature. I love the tasteful art and a well appointed kitchen. Leah thost communicates quickly and very helpful.
Perfect place for our annual New Year's trip! The home was beautiful and Leah was a great host. We had a great time and enjoyed the art work that was in the house!
We had a great week at this beautiful property! We have stayed here multiple times and it's always perfect. Well stocked kitchen, lots of room, comfortable beds and the most gorgeous views of the valley and wildlife!
Best place for a cozy, relaxing getaway with friends. Plenty of space, all the amenities, clean, quiet, great location! Outside gathering space on the patio was just as nice as the inside!
We were a group of 6 adults and 1 dog. Elk Valley Retreat was cozy, well stocked, and clean. The host was responsive. Would definitely come back again.

We are glad you enjoyed the home over the holiday. We were impressed that even though you brought your dog, we did not find dog hair. We would love to have you back.
This is our second visit to the Elk Valley Retreat in December and we love it. There was snow and it was very serene. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need.
We love the remoteness because we take our dogs and they don't bother anyone and they are safe in this out-of-the-way place. Dealing with the management is great.

This place is truly something special. The quiet, outdoor time is just unmatched. Such fun snow play right outside. We loved every second.
This is one of the most well stocked VRBO's we have ever stayed in. These hosts have thoughts of everything.
Leah was incredibly responsive and enjoyable to communicate with.
We can't wait to come back.
We stayed at Elk Valley Retreat for a long weekend with our two dogs in February. It was the perfect getaway from the city. The dogs loved playing in the snow and we loved disconnecting and enjoying the scenery with a mug of hot cocoa. It's a beautiful property and relatively secluded, with plenty of acreage to explore. The main house is clean and cozy with well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Watching the deer walk by is a added bonus. We counted 15 of them at once!

Thank you for the thoughtful review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
A stunning hobby farm tucked away in the foothills. Warm, cosy and beautifully appointed with an actual full kitchen and utensils to match. As an added bonus Christmas decorations were added before our arrival which was a delightful finishing touch.
An amazing host who provided clear instructions for getting to the property, was always responsive to requests, and offered flexibility only really found in those who have lived in the mountains during winter.
If you are anything like us you will leave wishing you had stayed longer.
I sat outside with deer surrounding me. I used my phone so little because I was at such peace there. The kitchen has a gas stove so I wanted to do nothing but cook in the kitchen while looking over the wild animals in the yard. I have never felt such peace. I will return when the elk are going through the field. Staying at this home has only reinforced my need to move away from the city.

It’s a joy to us when we hear that our guests felt at peace were able to observe nature and enjoy the cozy home. Thanks for sharing and come again.
Elk Valley Retreat was a beautiful, well-appointed, homey gathering place for our family Christmas gathering. So much space and calming mountain views, wildlife crossing the property every evening, a LOT of snow and cold weather combined to make our stay amazingly peaceful.
Enjoyed the peaceful view and the quiet, seeing the stars at night. Comfortable home and the best stocked kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely return.
We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every bit. Beautiful property. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Our kids played outside the entire time. My 4 year old loved the disc golf and riding his bike. My wife loved the surrounding area. A little windy and cold, but still amazing!
This cabin is the perfect place to relax and get away from the west side stress and traffic. Three bedrooms and two full baths, decorated nicely, great beds and a cozy atmosphere plus the kitchen has literally everything! Owners are awesome, thoughtful and quick to reply. We’d like to come back in the summer and fish, and hang out on that covered patio. Lots of deer on the property, and the homestead cabin is cool. We loved it!

About the host

We are a family of 5 with 1 pup that loves to gather away from the city to enjoy family, friends, and nature at this little piece of paradise nestled in the mountains near Cle Elum. We have had fun adding the disc golf course and trails along with making the house as cozy as possible so you won't be lacking anything.
What makes this property unique
We really enjoy the deer that roam across the front lawn most mornings and evenings along with the beauty of each of the four seasons. Spring brings wildflowers, summer is sunny with tan wavy grass, fall has the apples and colors in the trees, and winter brings the snow.
Recently we named the bedrooms to match their theme. We have the Moose Master, the large bedroom with walk in closet, en-suite bath, and a king size bed. The Elk Enclave is smaller room with a king bed, and the Bear Bedroom is a smaller room with a queen bed.
