4 bedrooms, Family-friendly, pet-friendly Oceanfront DUPLEX

Please note that Booking is strictly for Sunday-Sunday.

This DUPLEX house is newly renovated and equipped with an “ I Wave” air purification system (anti-allergy and anti-virus). There are four bedrooms (two king beds, one queen bed, and two single beds) and three bathrooms (two shared and one en-suite). Two of the rooms have access to a balcony with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. The house has five Smart TVs (one TV in each bedroom and a 75" TV in the common area), one DVD player, and wireless high-speed internet access.



Ceiling fans are located throughout the house to help with air circulation and spacious covered & open decks with porch furniture allow for many opportunities to keep the deck doors open and let the ocean breeze fill the home. The house has a shower and foot wash for that quick rinse from walking on the beach as well as an enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower for those days when you would rather spend all your time outside.



Large master ceramic tile walk-in shower. All bathroom sinks are marble-topped. Main level family/gathering area features luxury vinyl panel flooring, ceiling fans, comfortable sitting area with 75” Smart Roku/streaming TV with DVR. Also on this level is the fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances and a large quartz island for casual meals and a dining table that seats eight. Keurig, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Keurig coffee machine, five Smart Roku/streaming TVs with Spectrum cable app, wireless high-speed Internet access.

Open beachfront deck for sunning offers stunning day and evening ocean views. Beach boardwalk with dune seating, shower, and foot wash. Lower level enclosed entrance off carport is accessible to secure storage room, and a covered sitting/play area with table and chairs and private hot/cold outside shower.

Weekly only. No smoking. Well-behaved pets are allowed.

Perfect Ocean front Duplex

Home was cleaned and well maintained. Could not ask for a better back deck/porch overlooking the ocean. Just perfect, in a lovely area of Emerald Isle!!

Comfy welcoming house on the beach

The house was just as posted with great decks for porch sitting with drinks, right on the beach. Easy access to go for walks and enjoy the ocean. The bedrooms are spacious with room for luggage and the bathrooms have good counter space and drawers for toiletries. Plus the primary shower was a dream. We felt very comfortable in the house and were able to relax throughout the week. Love the quiet neighborhood, too.

Great property & great location on the beach!!

The property is updated, clean, and well-equipped. We absolutely loved the location and the proximity to the ocean. Rae was attentive and excellent to work with - always a quick response to all questions or info needed. We will definitely return to Emerald Isle and to "A Happy Place" again next year.

Wonderful stay!

This was our first time back to Emerald Isle in 7 years but it’s always been our family’s favorite vacation spot. The home was perfect for our needs and plenty of room for 7 adults and a dog. The location can’t be beat! Communication with the property manager was great—super responsive and prompt. It was a bonus that there was a canopy and chairs for the beach and some boogie boards. Perfect week!

Perfect in every way!

The house itself is lovely and comfortable with a wonderfully stocked kitchen. The decks looking over the ocean were amazing. A brand new walkway to the beach (which is a few steps away) was very nice. We couldn’t get over how uncrowded, clean, and spectacular the beach/ocean were. Special treat seeing the strawberry full moon rise over the ocean!

Great beach house!

My family (4 adults, 2 kids) had a great stay here. The set up with 4 rooms and 3 bathrooms was what we needed, and the location is wonderful. Short walk to beach too! The house was well stocked with essentials. The beds were more comfy than most rentals I’ve stayed at. We had some bad weather during our trip due to a tropical storm so we spent a decent amount of time just hanging out and it was comfy and we had no issues. Would definetly return!

It was a great place and was located in a part of Emerald Isle that is our favorite part of the beach! Everyone had their own spaces and beds were comfortable and the house was decorated with a homey beach vibe, too. The house was well equipped and even had lots of extra things that were helpful to make our stay more pleasant. It was a little difficult for some late night family members to go to sleep in due to there not being light blocking curtains, but other than that, it was a fantastic place to stay. Rae was very responsive and helpful with any questions that we had. She was also flexible and easy to work with when setting things up. Highly recommend A Happy Place!

Relaxing and wonderful

Highly recommend. House is well furnished and stocked. Comfortable sleeping, nice kitchen and open common areas. Cleaned and ready upon arrival, so you are able to start vacationing right away. Something for everyone. The tall deck chairs were our favorite. So relaxing. Communication with host was prompt. Perfect way to enjoy the beach.

Peaceful Oceanfront Getaway

We had a truly delightful visit at this Emerald Isle gem of a property! The home is well maintained and clean, with nicely appointed furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed with lovely linens & updated bathrooms. The oceanfront of this property is stunning! You are steps away from the sand and it is a very clean beach. Location is about 2 miles to grocery store & shops which is convenient as well. We had such a relaxing, peaceful visit and would highly recommend this wonderful property! Thank you Rae for hosting us, we hope to return for another stay!

Peaceful, wonderful week

We loved our stay! We will be back. The home was exactly like it was described. The kitchen had lots of useful things. I was surprised there wasn’t a pitcher for tea or lemonade. We loved being able to use Boce ball that we found in the storage closet. Thank you !!!

Vary Nice house/beautiful beach

unlike our last VRBO experience, this house was excellent. Living area was well appointed, kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms were comfortable, deck was terrific and beach was excellent. My only complaints are toward VRBO: 1) for some reason they hide info on the address until 2-3 days before arrival and 2) the host was unable for some time to tell us whether the house had beach chairs (it did) which we were prepared to bring until we heard 3) there are not enough paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissues) in the house for a week rental - this has been true of 3 successive VRBO rentals.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

My family has been vacationing in Emerald Isle for over 20 years. My children (now married adults with babies) have made so many happy memories from the island over the years. I can't tell you how special it was to bring the next generation to the same spot to make new memories. The house was perfect. Communication with the owner Rae was really helpful. The three full bathrooms were wonderful because each couple had their own space. The open concept kitchen and living room with large dining table was great for family meals. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. I was an awesome week and we can't wait until our next trip!

Perfect Escape

This was our families first visit to Emerald Isle after being long term residents of NC of over 20 years and have been visiting Wrightsville Beach, NC for even longer. To say we fell in love with EI is an understatement. Rae was extremely accommodating and receptive to any requests or questions sent her way before, during, and checking out of her beautiful home. Nestled perfectly on a quiet street of other rentals, the location could not have been better. We were within 2 miles of all the dining, entertainment, and shopping. I highly recommend staying at this cozy oasis should the opportunity present itself. Thank you, Rae!

Fabulous vacation!

You can’t find a better location than this - shortest and easiest walk to the beach we’ve had in 20+ years of annual NC beach trips. Our senior citizen pup appreciated that! Quiet neighborhood, no crowds, fabulous ocean views. The townhouse was clean and well furnished with a plenty of new, non-rusty beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys. Kitchen was well-stocked with all we could possibly need and a bonus - regular coffee maker and a Keurig - so we could each make our brew our way. Lots of parking, two king beds and three full baths were also big pluses for us. Rae was super responsive to our needs and in answering our questions. Overall very happy with our stay.

Great Oceanfront Rental

This rental was perfect for us as we were looking for oceanfront with at least 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for the 4 of us. The house was stocked with essential needs (even beach items) but we brought our own as we are used to them. Location was also close to "town" so we rented a golf cart while we there as well. Communication with the host was prompt and clear. Our only complaint was that the washer did not work and we were not aware of this until the day of. Luckily we had extra towels available to us since there were only 4 and it was stocked for 8. Highly recommend and we would stay here again.

A jewel on Emrald Isle

This duplex was perfectly situated on the beach in Emrald isle. We were a short distance from all the major attractions. Rae was the most responsive host we have ever delt with. We did have a few minor issues but they were quickly taken care of. The house has four nice bedrooms and three baths. Beautiful views of the ocean and beach are visible from every window on the back of the house as well as the 2 decks. House was clean and well stocked with towels and beach equipment as well as pots, pans, glasses plates and cutlery. Fridge was a decent size and the dishwasher was a added bonus. We comfortably fit 7 people and a chihuahua. We would definitely stay here again!

This property has everything you need in a vacation home… Full kitchen , comfortable dining, living room and updated bathrooms. The master bed was so comfortable…… Being ocean front is amazing…..just a sort walk and your on the beach.
