Very friendly and accommodating host. It’s in a lovely and peaceful location if you’re staying in Bedford county for any reason. It was clean, had everything you need for a comfortable stay, and a wonderful place to walk and enjoy the country.
This property is absolutely amazing! The property owner did a wonderful job communicating and answering all of our questions. We went down for a week of baseball for our son, and this was the perfect location. Our youngest loved watching the wildlife and playing in the yard. We are very thankful this property was available for our stay!
We have stayed here twice for a donkey show in Shelbyville. Beautiful home with amazing view from large deck. 3 comfortable bedrooms. Jeff has been a pleasure to work with. Hope to be back next year. Thank you!!!
This property was a perfect getaway! Tucked into the hillside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to visit the attractions nearby. (Less than 20 mins to Lynchburg, and an hour from Nashville.) Absolutely picturesque views from the back deck and screened porch. You might even catch some deer out grazing or wild turkeys about. Clean, modern and stocked with everything you need! Host communicated well and was there if you needed anything. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
We were so happy to have this place for a week and it didnt disappoint. We had so many things to get done for our daughters wedding. It was very relaxing to come back to a beautiful home.
I hope we can come back in the future.
This was a great home to stay at for our family vacation. The screened in deck was a great place for meals and our grandchild to play. The home is such a peaceful setting, with barely any traffic and yet close enough to town for any necessities. We had no problems with our stay.
We had a fantastic week of family time while staying at Jeff’s place from check in to check out! The home is beautiful, had everything we needed for a weeklong stay and the property is simply breathtaking. We spent countless hours relaxing on the deck and playing games on the screened in porch. We ventured out to Murfreesboro/Nashville several times during our stay, but always looked forward to coming back to “our retreat”. The beds were also very comfortable, so we felt well rested all week. We will definitely look into staying here again if we are ever in the area. Thanks, Jeff!!!
Great home and property! Short drive to Lynchburg and one hour drive to Nashville. We enjoyed downtown Nashville and had a outdoor fire overlooking a field with deer crossing at night.
Relaxing, clean, open, peaceful are words that come to mind when thinking about our stay in TN. We are already talking about our next stay! Thank you Jeff!
Our family stayed at this house over the winter while our house was being built. It was everything we had hoped it would be based on the pics. Very spacious throughout. Beautiful living room with floor to ceiling windows and access to the enormous back deck. All of the bedrooms had plenty of space and all three beds were very comfortable. Jeff was an exceptional host - quick to respond but also gave us our privacy. We enjoyed walks in the field where we saw deer almost every morning and evening. 15 minute drive to town and 15 minutes to Jack Daniel Distillery. Very clean and well stocked. We have absolutely zero complaints and would not hesitate to stay again. Thanks Jeff!
What a great house and location. Everything you need you will be able to find here. The owner is quick to respond and keep me informed if someone was coming to the property. The views from the house was amazing. Will definitely be staying again next time we are in town.
We had a wonderfully restful time at this beautiful home. The screened in porch was incredible and allowed us to enjoy early morning sunrises and evening sunsets. The house is set up in a way that allows space and also places to convene together. The fenced in yard is great for your pets! Communication with the owner was easy and had fast responses. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing time at this house! We stayed here for 5 weeks while I worked away from our own home. Jeff was more than accommodating with all of our needs. He checked in regularly to make sure we were doing ok or to give us a heads up when the grass would be mowed. The house was beautiful, my only compliant would be none of the bedrooms had ceiling fans. We are use to ceiling fans but that’s our preference. We ended up purchasing floor fans and it solved that issue no problem. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to stay out in the country. You will see deer, turkey and all kinds of birds while you are here! We can’t wait to come back again!
This property far exceeded our expectations! We were looking for a quiet place to stay away from the hustle and bustle yet still close stores and restaurants if we decided to venture out. The views are beautiful, wildlife abundant, we grilled each night on the deck and enjoyed our meals on the closed in patio. Our last night was spent around the fire pit making smores and enjoying the twinkling stars. We met our host Jeff, he was very interested in making sure our stay was enjoyable as well as future guests stay. The only suggestion we had was to add working ceiling fans to the enclosed patio, he responded later that day to let us know he had gone to Lowes and purchased new ones that he will have installed for future guests. There are plenty of utensils, dishes, glassware, cups, pots and pans and bakeware. I recommend using the binoculars supplied by the host and check the woodlines across the field we saw deer in the field in the early morning and along the woodline in the afternoons. We also saw Turkey in the fields.
We are an adventurous family that has rented many homes through VRBO in the past. This house was build by my father as a place to come and relax, enjoy the solitude and wildlife and watch football. After his untimely death in 2018 the house sat empty for close to 2 years. We decided to open it up and share the beauty with others. I live less than a minute down the road so as your host, I am always available should you need assistance or have a question.
Why they chose this property
This property has been in the family over 200 years with my son being the 10th generation to reside on the property.
