We were within walking distance to everything, perfect for taking our pups on long walks! Potter’s Bakery was right next to us and smelled amazing every morning!

Thank you, Chantle! I’m so glad you and your pups enjoyed the walkable location—and yes, the smell from Potter’s Bakery is such a treat! It was a pleasure hosting you, and I’d love to welcome you back anytime.
Pet friendly. Very clean. Some noise in middle of night due to large truck deliveries to bakery next door. Entry way (we stayed in lower unit) needs to have an outside light for safety.
Property was as described and pictured! Easy check-in/check-out process. The only thing that differed from the description was the fact that there was not a complimentary left foot charley seasonal cider for us! Otherwise it was a nice stay.

Thank you for the kind review! I’m glad to hear the property met your expectations and that check-in and check-out were a breeze. I truly apologize for the missing seasonal cider — we’ll make sure that detail doesn’t get overlooked in the future. So glad you still had a nice stay, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime!
The property overall was fine for only being there for a weekend. The getting ready space was lacking with only one small vanity mirror in the bathroom that would up if someone else was showering. There is plenty of space in the duplex for another mirror to make getting ready easier, especially if it is more than just one person staying. The parking situation, although it was mentioned in the listing, was a pain especially for being here in the winter months. There is no alternative space or suggestions provided and we had to gamble by parking in the street, risking getting towed or ticketed. The space was fairly clean, but not necessarily to the standard that most other places I’ve stayed are at. Overall, it was a decent property that is probably more ideal in the summer months since it’s close to downtown and you’d be able to park in the street if the one parking spot is taken without worrying about getting towed. The beds were comfortable and we never ran out of hot water after a few showers. Having someone in the upstairs unit was a bit noisy, but that’s obviously expected. The location is nice.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the convenient location, comfortable beds, and reliable hot water during your stay.
We also appreciate your suggestions regarding additional mirrors and understand how that would make getting ready easier for groups — that’s a great point we’ll take into consideration. We recognize that parking can be more challenging in the winter months and appreciate your perspective, as well as your feedback on cleanliness and noise.
Your comments are very helpful as we continue to improve the guest experience. We’re glad you found the property a good fit overall and would love the opportunity to host you again in the future.
This property was perfect for our girls weekend! It had everything we need. It was clean and in a very safe area and conveniently located next to a bakery and across the street from Family Fare! The owners even left us a bottle of vodka from one of the local distilleries, which we actually went and visited on our wine tour! We would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that the property was perfect for your girls' weekend and had everything you needed. It's great to know that you found the area safe and conveniently located, and that you enjoyed the local vodka gift and visited the distillery on your wine tour. We look forward to welcoming you back for another stay!
My husband and I stayed 3 nights and this was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Quiet neighborhood, easy walk (10-15 min) to Grand Traverse Bay to watch the sunset. Only drawback was the single parking space for the 2 units, but we found parking on the street when the space was occupied.

Thank you, Annemarie! We’re so glad the space worked well for you, your husband, and your dog, and that you enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and sunset views. We appreciate your feedback about the parking and will keep that in mind for future improvements. We're happy to hear that street parking was a good option during your stay. We’d love to host you again anytime!
Overall good, thought this was closer walking distance to downtown but we made do. Sofa bed and chair in living room for relaxing or watching TV would be better than the day bed, not the best after a long day of see sights and having dinner, then no where to relax and unwind with a drink or two.

Needs to be cleaned
This lower level flat was in a good location, a short drive/bike to most attractions. We appreciated the option to bring our dog. (Did pay extra for an additional cleaning fee when bringing a pet). The parking arrangement was inconvenient, with 1 spot for 2 rentals on a “first come first serve basis” with the other guest parking on the street.
The biggest problem in this unit was the cleanliness. All of the dark colored towels were musty with a strong odor (Which left us with 2 large white towels to share with 4 people). The unit describes 1 king size bed and 2 twin beds however this is 1 twin bed with a pull out trundle. This bed doubles as the couch. The blanket on the couch/twin was stained. Our main concern was the Brown soap scum that was on the plastic shower curtain liner. A memory foam pillow on the king was being used without a pillow cover.
The rental was good for the flexibility to bring our dog and for the location but I would certainly expect basic cleanliness for the cost. Prior to this review the property manager was informed of these concerns and expressed a commitment to address them (revised 7/11/22)

Property has potential for sure. The location is great. Easy walk to grocery store and old school diner for a friendly wait staff and good breakfast.
The house itself is bare minimums. Not sure why there wasn’t a toaster. There aren’t any mirrors (there is an enormous empty space above the dresser that would easily suffice) besides the small medicine cabinet mirror. We were in town for a wedding and trying to check out our outfits was comical!! Wasn’t a fan of having to log into accounts to watch tv. My husband is a huge sports fan so we had to find places to go out to watch the us open tournament and football.
Overall it just felt like an unloved kind of place. Not homey but as I said from the start has the potential to be a nice option for someone wanting to stay close to Traverse City.

Dog Friendly 1-Bedroom
Overall a good property for those who like to travel with their dog(s). There is limited availability for accommodations that are quality and pet friendly. The property is compromised of 2 units, an upper and lower unit. The lower unit has 1 bedroom and a pullout couch. Decorated with new mid century modern furniture, it has all the creature comforts you need. Unfortunately the previous visitor smoked in the unit but we were able to mask the smell with some Febreeze! The exterior is no much to write home about but the property is adjacent to a nice bakery and a coffee shop. It’s about a 15 to 20 min walk to downtown Traverse City.
The property was in a great location . The property was very clean and perfect for our long weekend get away . We will definitely be staying here again . Owner was also very nice and easy to get a hold of .
