Casa Tortuga @ Selva Romantica

Located only two streets above Olas Altas in the heart of Puerto Vallarta's Old Town, or Zona Romantica, this charming studio is less than a five-minute walk to the famous Playa Los Muertos, dozens of delicious restaurants, and interesting shops and galleries. The Selva Romantica condominium complex is known for its lush gardens and traditional Mexican style. If you're looking for a taste of old Mexico with modern amenities, this bungalow is for you.

Selva Romantica (Romantic Jungle) is an exclusive gated community with vibrant gardens, a large infinity pool, hot tub, gym, palapa, all with sweeping views of the city and the Bay of Banderas. The studio itself is complete with a mountain and city view.

The kitchen features colorful Talavera tiles, rich wood cabinetry, teak wood dining room table and chairs, a purified water system, and a small terrace. This condo combines a traditional Mexican flavor with modern conveniences and a contemporary interior design. The high ceilings and open floor plan make this condo feel larger than it is.

Two can sleep comfortably atop the King-sized bed and one more on the sofa in the living area. A flat-screen TV is on display with access to Netflix and other Smart TV apps. The full bathroom features stained glass accents and a glass-encased shower stall.

There is a washer and dryer on-site but not in the unit.

NOTE: This unit does not have an elevator. There are multiple entrances to the building, the easiest requires walking up 10 steps to get to the property.

You will be required to agree to a condominium consent form. Any violation of the condominium rules may attract a fine of $100 USD or more.

Midweek housekeeping is included for stays of 7 nights or more. Renters must be at least 21 years old. Supplies are provided to begin your stay, if you run out it is your responsibility to replace them. Beach equipment including beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent.

We have vacationed in PV several times and try someplace different each time. But can honestly say this is the first place that we have stayed where we absolutely would attempt to rent again. Great location - close to everything but still quiet. Nice, clean unit. And pool was awesome.

Beautiful Mexican Getaway!

We loved the studio we stayed in and the location was great. It was beautiful and clean and the host had a sweet birthday message upon our arrival to Make our stay memorable. Wifi was slow and the pool was under construction were the only drawbacks as we would have liked to have used the pool that looked great in the photos. However all in all a wonderful stay. Would totally go back a d stay again!

Beautiful Property

We absolutely loved this condo. It is clean and so close to a beautiful pool. The property is very well maintained and quiet. It is only a block or so from the busy streets of the Zona Romantica but once you enter the property, it is quiet and serene. It is also very well situated to enjoy the great restaurants and bars that are plentiful in this area. We would definitely stay here again!

My Husband and I stayed a short 3 days but it was wonderful. The location is close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Perched on the hillside the views are second to none. At night we sat in the pool area and watched fireworks. Casa Tortuga was stunning with its stained-glass windows and architecture. Sonia was amazing to work with and made our stay stress free. Would definitely stay here again!

Most relaxing 2 week vacation!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at this beautiful property. I don't think we've ever stayed in such a comfortable well equipped vacation home--ever! The condo was beautifully decorated and outfitted with everything you would need to spend time away from your own home. We arrived to wine and chocolates and were met by Sonia, the concierge, who was responsive and took care of any questions or potential issues. We would definitely return to this property again and let any friends and family know who might want to travel here.

The property was great..... there should be some explanation of the walk to and from the unit regarding incline and numerous steps. Why did VRBO add another $100 dollars to and already booked property.

Great Property And Location

We are familiar with Selva Romantica but not this particular condo and it did not disappoint. The condo was very clean and is just a few steps away from the pool (on the same level). The balcony is 2nd story with a pleasant end of street view which is very quiet. We were contacted early on by our contact Sonia who coordinated to meet us as we arrived via taxi. Everything worked as expected with full supplies. When we travel to PV, we'll certainly check if this property is available and would stay again.

Great condo, service and location

Wonderful condo with traditional charming Mexican architecture, clean and private. Quiet complex with beautiful landscaping and a great pool, yet in the middle of downtown, just a short walk to everything. Prompt service (we had low battery on the door lock and it was replaced within an hour). We enjoyed our visit and will come again.

Best studio condo in PV

Our studio condo was a great spot from which to tour the Romantica district in Puerto Vallarta. We were steps from the beautiful pool that overlooked the city and provided us hours of relaxation each day. The condo was neat, tidy, and very well maintained. Our host, Sonia, connected regularly to ensure our visit was satisfying in every way. We will definitely return.
