Guests have access to the 3,000 square foot home with exception of the garage, attic, and basement. The kitchen features newer appliances plus essential dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Basic amenities such as coffee, tea, spices, and condiments are provided plus paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue, soap, shampoo, conditioner, linens and towels, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, extra blankets and pillows. Laundry rooms (on main floor and in the master suite) are equipped with washer and dryer and basic supplies. Gas and charcoal grills are available.

This property is located in a pastoral setting amidst orchards, farms, and small horse farms. It is private and secure. Owners camp in a 5th wheel on designated area on-the 12-acre parcel, and are available to assist with any needs that arise during your stay.

Family friendly home

Thank you Cathy for a great stay. Your home was so inviting and homey! The home is well stocked for all your needs. It’s roomy and quiet. It has great sunsets and views. The location is close to Traverse, Elk Rapids, GLEF, Meijer, beaches and vineyards. It’s very clean. Great for a family or group.

Traverse City Perfection

I've stayed in a number of VRBO rentals and hands down, this home was one of my favorites. The home was exactly as represented and hosts were exceptional, kind and responsive. The location was ideal for horse showing, literally a minute drive or ten minute walk to GLEF. The number of extras this home had was remarkable - a lot of thought and attention to detail was put into getting the home ready for us, including fresh strawberries in the fridge and getting me an extra drying rack for all our lined dry show clothes. It felt like my own home with all the things I would need at my fingertips. Beds and linens were high quality and the two washers/dryers was really awesome. We literally wanted for NOTHING. I look forward to staying in this home again. Thank you to the Nelsons! Perfection.

This rental is among the closest to Traverse City Horse Shows, yet it's far enough away (.9 miles) for peace and privacy. The home is well-equipped, yet uncluttered, so you can make the space your own. Past horse show guests have especially loved the dual laundry rooms, the spacious and well-stocked kitchen, and the front porch for grilling/relaxing at the end of a busy day.
