Why they chose this property
This is a renovated TWO bedroom, fully-furnished Garden (lower level) flat apartment in a historic DC neighborhood. This home is right near the 11th Street bridge and Anacostia Park.
This home was built in 1926 and noise travels very easily (ex. foot steps, voices, etc) especially since this is a garden level unit.
There are always scooters & mopeds in the neighborhood. There is a capital bike share station one minute from the house. It is super easy and quick to bike/scooter across the 11th Street Bridge. You can bike to Navy Yard and Eastern Market in 10 minutes and you can be on Capitol Hill by bike in 15 minutes (or less if you are fast!) The Anacostia Metro is a 10-15 minute walk from the house.
There are multiple bus lines a five min walk away that will take you to the Metro, over to Eastern Market + H Street and wherever you need to be. The Anacostia Park is an absolutely beautiful place to run or take a very long scenic bike ride. Reagan National Airport is a 15-minute drive away.
On street parking is available and there is a paid parking lot a few hundred feet from the unit at the corner of 13th and S street SE. This space is perfect for business travelers as well.

What makes this property unique
Our space is ideal for guests who appreciate the culture and convenience of an authentic urban neighborhood.
This home is located in historic Anacostia, a vibrant and lived-in area that reflects the real character and history of Washington, D.C. The neighborhood is diverse and with a mix of long-time residents, families, and local businesses. Like many central city neighborhoods, you may see a wide range of people and activity, and that is part of the rhythm of city life.
We have always felt comfortable and safe here and appreciate the convenience and culture that come with being close to downtown. However, this may not be the right fit for travelers seeking a suburban, luxury, or highly polished environment.
It is the responsibility of each guest to review the listing description, photos, and past reviews carefully, and to research historic Anacostia and the surrounding area before booking to ensure it aligns with their preferences and comfort level.
The listing is priced fairly for the space, amenities, and location, and is well below comparable listings in nearby areas to provide strong value in a central part of the city.
As noted in the listing you may occasionally hear footsteps, and other sounds of daily living from the unit above. Quiet hours are observed daily from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. in order to minimize any disturbance to our guests.
I am happy to help you with DC trip planning and provide any advice on what sites to see or how to best get around. Long term guests are welcome. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
