Huge, Private La Ventana / El Sargento Casa & Beach Bodega on the Ocean ~ 3K SQf

Casa Cantina is a contemporary 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 3,000 square foot villa with another 3,000 square feet of exterior patio/deck space. Perched on a sloping rise overlooking La Ventana Bay, the house enjoys spectacular views and is a great launching point for your water & beach adventures. Kite, sail, fish, kayak, SUP. The Sea of Cortez is your playground! Your Baja adventure (or just good old fashioned relaxation) await you here!

The entire second floor is a private Master Suite with large shower, California King bed, and a spectacular view from your private deck!

There are also two bedrooms at ground level each with their own private bathrooms and large showers. The North Bedroom has 2 Queen size beds. The South Bedroom has one California King bed.

Kitchen. Comfortable seating for 12 or more around the unique concrete table and bar stools. Refrigerator and freezer + large beverage cooler. Stove, toaster, microwave, and coffeemaker. There is a great grocery store (Oscaritos) ~ 1.1 mile from the Casa.

The Great Room has lounging area with couches and coffee table. Entertainment center has a TV and DVD player to accommodate a iPod/iPhone (older versions; bring adapter for 6 & up).

Main level tanning deck faces the warm south sun and also has an outdoor shower.

The beach is steps away. Kite Boarders, Wind Surfers and Beachcombers can easily walk down the adjacent arroyo or private path in front of house. There are world-class, epic, IMBA-designed mountain biking trails accessible right from the house.

Rates might be different depending on the size of your party. We are also willing to consider a trade for your VRBO if the timing and location are right.

Willing to exchange/swap/trade for your place in Tahoe for a week in summer!

GREAT HOME

Couldn't have asked for a better home and location. Everything was as mentioned and listed in VRBO....the view from the decks was awesome and had all the utensils needed in the kitchen since we cook 80% of the time.....AC would have been nice but with a little wind movement and fans it was manageable until normal temps for this year came back....will definately ask to come back next year...great communication when questions came up....hope to come back next year

A Great House on the Sea of Cortez

Casa Cantina is perched high up which makes for great views, but also a steep path down to the beach. The house itself is in great condition and very spacious. The owner just put in a building down by the beach for storage of kiting gear and other beach toys so there is no need to carry gear up and down the hill. As long as you don't mind the walk down to the beach it is a great place.

All you could ask for

Great layout, lots of room and magnificent views. Steep walk to the beach, especially back up, but can drive down the adjacent arroyo without any problem. Juan Carlos checked in daily to see if anything was needed. Plenty of parking for two boats. Plan to be back next year.

We would rent this property again.

The measure of a good rental accommodation is whether it is worth a repeat visit, Casa Cantina meets that standard. The owner Christine was prompt with her response to our initial inquiry and subsequent questions, her man on the ground, caretaker, Juan Carlos, was very friendly and helpful. The location for kiters, bikers or paddlers is key.

Awesome House for one or two family stay

We have been to La Ventana 3 times before always trying a new place to stay --- loved staying in Casa Cantina. Views are magical especially in the morning when the Sea of Cortez is calm. Huge amount of privacy. Nicely and simply appointed w/ lots of space for gear. Water, showers, Internet all fine. Great for kiters as big wide beach an non-rocky launch options (did downwinders from up north a ways). Could do two families. Enjoyed the privacy and being on the prominent point, nothing but ocean below us. Juan Carlos was very helpful---he connected us w/ Berto to go fishing one day and we caught 4 huge jurel (yellowtail tuna). I would highly recommend this property.
