About the host
Hosted by Charles Robinson

We love this cabin and the river so much that we want to share them with others. The site is remote and quiet on 10 acres in the San Juan national forest. It is a great place to be in nature, to fish a little, or to launch trips into the mountains or desert nearby. Connecting with nature is so important and we love helping make that happen.
Why they chose this property
We chose the Dolores valley because of its beauty and solitude, proximity to the mountains and desert, and the surroundings of the national forest. We chose this property for the river running through it, the cabin's lovely architecture, and the cool temperature of the valley in summer.
What makes this property unique
Its proximity to the water, the trout habitat restoration project, and amazing nature and wildlife watching all from the comfort of your chair inside the wall to wall windows in the cabin.
In 2024, we partnered with Dolores River Anglers/Trout Unlimited and the Colorado Water Conservation Board in a bank restoration and trout habitat enhancement project that should result in much better fishing opportunities for our 450 feet of river. 500 feet south of us and 1000 feet north of us is all national forest river so, from our cabin, there is 2000 feet of contiguous fishable river.
