Waterfront South End Serenity! Bring your boat and your pup, leave the linens!

Everyone knows the south end of Topsail is the best! Come enjoy the beautiful waterfront views from sunrise to sunset in our newly renovated Topsail Beach home with room for up to 10. Setting off for adventure is easy from our floating dock on the deep end of the canal just feet from the ICW. Dock fits boats up to 25ft - bring yours or use our slightly smaller 2-seater ocean kayak ;) Beach access is directly across from the other end of the street, at PA #18 which features gradual ramps rather than stairs (wheelchair accessible). From this access, Serenity Point is a must-do scenic walk along the beach and around the tip of the island to the very peaceful sound side - a perfect sunset activity to do with loved ones (both 2-legged and 4!). House-trained pets are welcomed with pet fee, but you must notify us when booking that you are brining a pet as pet fee does not get added automatically; failure to notify may result in an additional charge.
Open floor plan is great for keeping the whole group together, whether in the kitchen, dining room or living room. House underwent major renovation during COVID lockdown, completed in 2021, with all major items replaced from windows and floors to HVAC and appliances. Guests have complimented the comfortable new medium firm mattresses - there's a king master bedroom, one with a queen, one with 2 long twin beds and the fourth room has 4 twin bunk beds. Kitchen is well-equipped with large capacity stainless steel appliances and variety of utensils/small appliances.
Linens and basic household supplies are included - you'll find beds made upon arrival, bath towel sets for each guest and plenty of beach towels rolled and ready by the door. Individual soaps and shampoos provided as well as hand and dish soap, kitchen towels and paper towels. Beach supplies like folding chairs, boogie boards, bocce ball set, shovels and sand molds, paddles and balls are all kept in the laundry room on the ground floor. Please, please rinse sand off of any items used at the beach and allow to dry before returning to laundry room!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Lock the doors and return the keys
Please put trash bags in the bins and roll trash and recycling bins to the street for pickup.
Please rinse sand off of boogie boards, kayak and paddles, beach chairs/toys and return to original storage location. Kayak goes on the wooden walkway under the house.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Pets must be crated if/when left unattended, not just confined to a bedroom. Rooms are inspected for potty accidents or chewing damage post-stay.
Windows and exterior doors must be kept closed unless AC is turned completely off (and only windows/doors with screens can be left open with AC off).

Perfect location

Perfect location for a relaxing week of vacation at the beach. Loved being on the canal with the view of the water. 5 minute walk to the beach. House had everything we needed including a comfy bed. Would definetely recommend.

My family stayed here for a weekend trip. So nice to have the bed linens and bath towels included. Bonus that the beds are pre-made upon arrival. House was very clean, well decorated, comfortable and in a wonderful location.

Nice house & location

It was quiet and clean. Since we brought our 2 dogs, the locking gate on the back deck was a huge convenience for us. We love staying near the point to we can walk around it every day that weather allows.

Great location 5 min walk to the beach

It was great, we used the kayak to go to the sand dunes behind the property and stayed there for hours. It’s a 5 min walk to the beach and is pretty much empty, so very nice to chill and relax. Bars and restaurants are close by, we will definitely stay here again, oh and if you have pets, they have safe vests for them !

Very nice house and area

The house is newly renovated and the location is awesome. We had our own dock and we were able to kayak to a sandbar that appears in late morning. The beach is a very short walk which was really nice. The owner was in contact with us in case we needed anything. Really nice vacation.

Sandy Paws was a great time!

Great stay in Topsail beach. We enjoyed using the kayak and even though it was a bit cooler than usual- we had a great time. We were able to bring our dog which saved us some $ on boarding. The house was clean and had lots of helpful amenities that kept us from having to pack so much. We will definitely go back to Sandy Paws!

Quaint Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It had all the supplies, in the kitchen, bathrooms, and beach items. Stephan was so easy to talk to and communicated quickly and kindly. We loved being able to bring our chocolate lab. We felt very safe and comfortable. The view is 10/10!! The walk to the beach is easy, but there is an access at the end of the street to park (if spots are available). The only thing I could say is we didn’t have hot water for everyone at once, so coming off the beach we had to wait. I let Stephan know and he handled it. I give this home a 10/10 for a small family, looking for a good view and a friendly owner.

Lovely vacation in Topsail!

We had a wonderful trip. The house was clean and nicely updated. The owner was extremely responsive every step of the way answering my questions within hours. In terms of location this house was fantastic. Our kids and dog loved swimming off the dock and using the kayak. We soaked in the sunsets every night from the deck and walked to the beach each day. I would absolutely return again!

A great place

Enjoyed the quiet location and proximity to the beach. We rented a boat from aquaholics in surf city and kept it for the week. We only encountered a little difficulty in preparing food. The kitchen could use some food prep bowls, more pots and pans. We cook every meal and just struggled a little fixing everything. Otherwise no complaints!

Everything was great!! Location, cleanliness, and communication with owner!!! Walk to beach was about 4 mins, beach wasn’t crowded even as it’s a public access. Slight downfall is there is no closets or drawers to put your clothes. But nonetheless, would highly recommend. Beautiful sunsets from front porch.

I appreciated the updates in the kitchen and living room. The mattress was great, but the bedding sheets were horrible. The sheets had knots and were rough. We had a great second stay at Sandy Paws! Stefan is great and helpful with questions about the house and the area. My girls and husband loved fishing off of the dock, and we all (including our tiny pup) enjoyed kayaking to the sandbar and Serenity Point (though watch the current). Now that the girls can help the walk to the beach is not bad. We took advantage of renting a second kayak and SUP from Surf50 and made our own seafood boil with crabs (can be hard to get) at Lewis’ seafood and multiple pots in the kitchen. As our second visit I did note that I needed to stock up on toiletries, laundry, and kitchen items, but no big deal. And, there are nice new beach chairs in the deck. Overall a great stay despite some rain! Thanks Stefan!

South Topsail serenity!

Bright & cheerful, nice amenities, good outdoor space, short walk to beach, perfect for families. SUPER communication with very responsive owner. Check-in was very easy through a combination keybox on the front door. Owner (Stefan) gave clear instructions the day before arrival along with combination for lock and the wifi password. The 4 bedrooms are small but perfectly adequate, and Stefan responded immediately to the first review (which mentioned that there are no closets) by adding clothes hanging racks. There are dressers as well. All linens and towels provided, including beach towels, and they're nice! Not the skimpy stuff you often find in rentals. One of the 2 bathrooms has a shower stall; the other has a tub/shower combo. Good exhaust fans; crucial when you're sharing ;-D The large open area (kitchen, dining and living room) is so colorful, breezy and nicely furnished! 7 of us, ranging from 3 years old to 86, coexisted peacefully for a full week :-) We spent lots of time on the large rear deck, watching activity on the canal & waterway and enjoying beautiful sunsets and the Perseid meteor showers. I cooked most nights in the well-equipped kitchen and we had some great family time around the large dining table. The only thing missing was a stock pot for Low Country Boil, but there were enough other pots & pans that we made it work. Plenty of plates, coffee cups, flatware & glassware, along with a good supply of trash bags, aluminum foil, etc. Underneath the house is a combination laundry/storage room which houses the 2-person kayak, life jackets, the portable gas grill (you'll probably need to purchase a small bottle of propane for it, available nearby), and really nice oversized washer and dryer. Laundry detergent and laundry basket were provided - a nice touch. TIP: the light switch is on the right as you enter, behind the open shelving. Took me a minute to locate. Just outside the laundry room is an outdoor shower for rinsing off beach sand. It's a short walk to the end of the street, ending right at the beach access ramp. The beach is fabulous, wide and not crowded at all. Most mornings I walked down to Serenity Point at the southernmost tip of the island, where there's a wide crescent of nearly deserted beach and a newly dredged inlet that seems to attract the surf fishermen. It's a little off the beaten path - roughly a 15-20 minute drive to "civilization" - but that's exactly what we wanted!

Great spot with a view of NC's intracoastal waterway and a dock on the canal. The cabin was clean and spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The beach was a short walk away and less crowded/touristy than others we've stayed at in the Carolinas. We're looking forward to staying here again next season.

Wonderful base to explore Topsail Island

Our family of 5 had a fantastic stay at this sound side home! The kids spent hours on the dock fishing (and catching!) and it was less than a 5 minute walk with the dog to the wonderful beach (which we pretty much had to ourselves). Stefan could not have been more responsive or accommodating, from getting us an early check in to giving us the low down on local spots. The accommodation was spacious, great kitchen (for cooking the fish), clean and comfortable. The sea kayak was a big hit, allowing the kids to paddle over to the sand bar in the sound while we sat watching them from the elevated dock with a cocktail. Great eateries within an easy drive. Would absolutely return to this hidden gem.
