For a vintage, older property, it was great. The price was very affordable for a property so close to the ocean with a great ocean view. It was quaint and charming and it suited us just fine. It was great that our dog was allowed and we had a great stay.

We found other accommodations after the first night. The place was really in disrepair and dirty.

The view was amazing. The pictures do not match what is actually there. The owner need to invest in a professional cleaning company both of inside and outside. The onsite property manager was super nice. I felt sorry for him. It could be a fabulous place if the owner would invest some money.

Kitchen Area with Great View
Description as rustic correct. Wood paneling and fireplace creates a cabin-like feeling. Great view from the kitchen table area. Access to beach a short walk up/down hill but be careful of traffic on both sides if walking. If you plan to cook, you may want to bring pot holders for pans, cookie sheet, colander for draining lettuce/pasta and paper plates are a good idea too. The dial on the oven knob has temperature settings that are difficult to read due to being worn out. Need to put a light or flashlight on it to see clearly.. Bring your own hair blower and bar soap for the shower. Quiet and overall relaxing; a convenient location to the beach, stores, and local eateries.

This is a very run down property. Good bones- no love. Carpet could book itself somewhere else!!!
The best part of this HIDEAWAY ... was the view of the ocean of our end room(room#10). No soap, 1 roll of toilet paper . "TINY" Shower leaked out onto bath mat. The carpet was horrendous and smelled. Nice fireplace, we did like that! And the bed was super cozy.
The place allows smoking , so it wafted into our windows🤢.
The refrigerator froze our food and I had to use my flash light to see in the fridge as there was no bulb.
We were required to wash the dishes with no sponge, rag or hot water....
It was only a1 nighter, so we were grateful to beat the heat in town, listen to the surf but, for the price- wouldn't recommend.

Hello Kacy! Thank you for reviewing our property. We use reviews to improve the suites and the property. There was a take over of ownership and management in May 2021 and we've been gradually taking care of issues. To respond to your concerns: 1) We don't allow smoking in the units and will address the smoking issue with the guest who stayed in No. 8. Smoking was in violation of our policy. 2) The fridge cold setting just has to be adjusted to make it less cold, we will check the light bulb if it burnt out and replace it. 3) There's hot water in the unit and kitchen sink, but it may take a little longer to kick in because we have tankless water heaters. The dish washing is required in most of vacation rentals and beach motels with kitchens. We are one of the few properties with full kitchens. The shower may not have been tightly closed, that's why it leaked, but we will check it out and adjust. 4) We apologize for lack of soap and rags, because the care taker may have forgotten to supply it. We sure wish you let us know right away so we could correct it and provide supplies. Our phone number is listed on VRBO and caretaker's phone number was on office door even though the office lobby was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
5) The carpets have been vacuumed and shampooed, but they are certainly not brand new. We will be working on replacing the carpets with hard surface flooring, which will be performed soon. We wanted to open up the property for customers due to high demand and are aware of the older carpets. We do clean carpets frequently. Carpets will be gone very soon to avoid this king of issues in the future.
Sincerely.
Besides the view there’s nothing to be desired at this property. Check in was a hassle and the on site property manager didn’t speak or understand English. Upon entry into the room it was noticeably run down. The carpet was old and stained everywhere, the curtains smelled like they hadn’t been cleaned since being put up, and the place just smelled old and musty. No shampoo or soap, an almost finished roll of tp with one extra. The shower was a box with no light that was unfit for my 6’2”, 250lb frame. If I could’ve gotten a refund and left I would have. The place has tons of potential if someone would ever update it but until then I’m sure you could find a way better bang for your buck in Lincoln City.

Hello! We appreciate your review! On the other hand we disagree that the place is not clean. We clean it very thoroughly including the carpets and curtains. We did not misrepresent our property and advertise it a vintage, rustic place, but we are one of the few which have wood burning fire places and the best views. If the vintage feel was not for you then we wish you'd have never booked it and by giving your review should not prevent other people who enjoy rustic, vintage places from considering us.
The care taker who helped us at that time may not have spoken good English, but my phone number is listed in the listing and I talk to all guests myself to make sure the check in process is EZ. I do not recall any issue with check in process with you or anybody else, because I send everybody an email and have my number available at check in at all times and before and after. I sure wish you addressed the issue in the beginning if there was one so we could have taken care of it to your satisfaction.
When we got there our room was not ready. The cleaning person said it would be ready in about a half an hour and the key would be inside on the table we walked in to find someone else in the room already and that we were to go to a different room. We could not find anybody to find any information and when we went to our new room it wasn’t ready either. We waited for approximately an hour. The toilet was so disgusting my wife asked him to clean it again. He came back in approximately 30 seconds and said he did it again. It was still disgusting and the shower was absolutely gross. None of us took a shower and we’re scared to go in it this place should be condemned it is absolutely disgusting I would never ever stay here again. People showed up and stayed below us and said they got the room for $109 199 with fees. I paid $354 extremely disappointed

Quaint
This is an older property. Checking in was a bit confusing but once we made contact with the onsite person it was great. Fantastic view from the dining area or deck. Walk to beach access might be more than some want. It is in the Canyon area of Lincoln City. We would stay here again.
The view from our space was breathtaking. Listened and watched the waves our entire stay was exactly what we were looking for. Intimate public beach access a short distance down the road, and close to everything on the strip from shops to restaurants. Our space had everything we needed, full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, wi-fi, small deck to enjoy the salty air, and the bed and bedding were oh, so comfortable. Thank you, Katrina, for a lovely stay; we can't WAIT to come back. This older property is the perfect beachy getaway, away from the crowds, and perfect for folks looking for a great ocean view and a perfect place to connect with family and friends in Lincoln City!
The property was as described. The buildings are older and have a true rustic feel to them. They were clean and everything functioned well. It was quit and oh such a beautiful view. We could leave the window ajar and listen to the ocean while we slept. We loved it here and plan to go back soon! It's not the Hilton, so if that is what you want, go to the hilton... but if your looking for a quiet get away... away from the crowds, I highly recomend.

We did enjoy our stay although the property could use some updates. The view was amazing and the beach is a short walk. Overall we had a good experience.
Nice little room. Love the view. Very vintage and charming.
Room really needs more info ….WIFI password…. Garbage placement…etc
Lacking horribly in kitchen supplies. Pots..pans..etc. very basic. Made it work.
Overall…. Nice little Room

Thank you for your review Katrina. We are working on making the property better after the take over in management and ownership in May, including replenishing supplies, dishes, pans and pots. Hope your next stay will be a much better experience, we are trying to do our best. We will be updating photos and adding information per guests requests and are happy to provide additional supplies if they are not enough. Our property does have one of the best views in the area and is located minutes of walking or very short drive to the nicest beach and beach front park in Lincoln City. We are new or VRBO and are updating our property and information daily.
