Located just three blocks from the thundering, iconic Devil's Punchbowl, this trendy and dog-friendly home is dotted with windows and includes a mudroom and outdoor shower, making it perfect for surfers, sightseers, and everyone in between!



Tucked away from the coast's more popular beaches, this part of the state is renowned for its soaring cliffs and majestic surf. With the Devil's Punchbowl located just a few minutes walking distance from your door, and beach access via a staircase at the park, you'll be perfectly situated to marvel at the size of the waves - and even tackle them on a surfboard if you're feeling brave! For a more bustling excursion, head five miles north to the larger town of Depoe Bay, where you'll find fresh seafood, world-class whale watching, and the world's smallest natural harbor. Newport is a few miles south if you want to pick up groceries or take the kids to the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Great location, right down the road from the beach and winery. The structure itself is also pretty cool looking. However, it was nowhere near as clean or as comfortable as we were hoping, particularly the mattress upstairs. Neither of us slept well throughout our stay and there were a number of mysterious stains throughout the house that could have used some attention. The host was clear about check in/check out procedures and other admin though. Overall, it was an ok stay, but not sure I would book again.

We found multiple spots in the home with dried animal poop. Dog hair all over the made beds and clean sheets. Cob webs in the bunk beds. The bathroom light was broken so we had to bring keep a flashlight in there. Wifi was so slow and we had to leave the rental to do any work so dont think you’ll be able to do anything online or watch anything without interruptions. The staff was not helpful and lied about the “local” team calling me to discuss the issues. That call never came. Any time i had to message them it was a different person so i had to keep retelling all the issues and have it be met with the same automated response. They were very unhelpful and the rental was clearly in disarray and it felt gross being in a place where we found poop that had been there a while. Even on the enclosed porch someone was letting there dog use it as a bathroom and left filled poop bags.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry that your stay did not meet expectations and that you were uncomfortable during your time in the home. We want to sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issues you encountered. The presence of pet waste is unacceptable, and once this was brought to our attention, the affected rug was removed and discarded. Our housekeeping team has been addressed directly to reinforce inspection standards, especially in pet-friendly homes. All linens are washed after every stay, though we understand how frustrating it can be to find pet hair. Fresh linens were offered and provided to address this concern. Cobwebs can unfortunately reappear quickly, particularly in certain environments, but this feedback has been shared with housekeeping to improve attention to detail. Regarding the bathroom light, we regret the inconvenience this caused. Assistance was offered during your stay, and after checkout, the issue was identified as a tripped GFI, which has since been reset. Internet and streaming were checked and found to be functioning properly, though performance can vary depending on the number of devices being used simultaneously. We also regret that communication felt inconsistent and unhelpful. We did offer to send a housekeeper to remake beds and address cleanliness concerns and issued a refund of the cleaning fee, but this assistance was declined. Since further on-site support was not accepted, no additional direct outreach took place. We understand how upsetting this experience was and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. Your feedback has been documented and shared with the appropriate teams to help prevent similar issues in the future.

What a fantastic spot! We will DEFINITELY rent this place again. You are literally on the block before the parking lot. We geared up and walked to surf every day. The property was private and the dome was so cool. The kitchen is pretty basic but you can cook no problem. They're missing weird things like measuring cups and measuring spoons, but it wasn't a huge deal. Just bring what you need to cook your specific meals if you have certain kitchen utensils you like to use. The house gets HOT in the afternoon. It was mid 60s and really warm in there. But we opened windows and the deck door and it was fine. They provide multiple fans that move the air around nicely. Great bonus was a teeny view of the ocean from the deck AND the loft. Definitely loved our stay and can't wait to go back.

Quirky and fun place to stay near the beach. The home is well supplied and tastefully decorated. Highlights were Devil's Punchbowl, surfers, rocky beaches, and even a whale . Downsides: primary bed in a loft and no window coverings so no sleeping in. Also, not accessible if you can't do stairs. Great for a weekend getaway.

We loved this house. Really spacious. Close to the beach. Quite comfortable overall. The downside.. The dishwasher was not working, the floors were dirty, we found old grapes and Cheerios under the furniture. And the dryer was full of towels. Which made it hard to use the washer and dryer while shifting around a massive pile of linens.The house itself, awesome, but it seems like the cleaning crew is not doing a thorough job. And, a working dishwasher would be nice next time.

Crumbs and hair pins were left on the ground when we checked in so it was apparent the cleaning wasn’t done properly. Absolutely 0 attempts were made in mopping the floor because when my son got out of the bath, his feet were black and dirty 10 minutes after walking on the floor! (We were absolutely wearing socks or slippers after this.) It is MISERABLY hot in this house from morning til about 7pm regardless of having the back slider window open all day. (Be prepared to deal with a back slider door screen that doesn’t open without fighting it) We didn’t attempt to open the other windows because there were no screens therefore letting insects in. The light fixture on the kitchen ceiling has dead bugs plastered to the outside of it..right above the cooking area, GROSS! When we were finally ready for bed I tried plugging my charger next to the bed upstairs to find that outlet doesn’t even work. We should have booked anywhere else.

Wonderful Unique Beach House!

Great house a couple minutes from the beach. Everything was clean when we arrived. It’s dog friendly which I was a bit worried about as I’m allergic but only the entry way smelled like dogs (which is downstairs from rest of house). Kitchen has everything you need. Can’t wait to come back!

We had an excellent vacation here. The home is a only a short walk from two different beach access points. One access point takes you to a sandy beach with waves where many people surfed. The other access point was great for tide pooling during low tide. We were able to enter the devil's punchbowl and take a few pictures.The home was comfortable. It has toys and puzzles that our kids enjoyed. The dome shape was very exciting and new to us. Plenty of space for our family of 5.

We really enjoyed our stay at the geodome. The location was phenomenal with its proximity to Devil’s Punchbowl and the beach. The only downside was how warm the home gets when it is sunny out. We still enjoyed our stay!

Best place to stay on the Oregon Coast!

The house was so much fun! It’s quirky and cute with lots of brightness. Perfect for a sunny late April weekend! They provide you with everything you need for a comfortable stay and I love that the Roku had all the streaming services like Hulu, HBO max, Netflix. There’s a hotel with a tiki bar just a short walk away where you can get a pina colada and the devils punch bowl/ beach access is so easy to get to on foot. Only downside was one of the fans in the living room by the TV didn’t work and it gets a little warm throughout the day with all the windows but wasn’t too bad with the door wide open with the screen door closed shut. I would definitely stay again. Bed was super comfy.

Perfect Last Minute Getaway

The space was exactly what we needed. The window made the rainstorm even better and the kids had a blast with the design of the house. The beach was a short walk down the hill, which the dog LOVED. I recommend bringing your own pillows but all in all, it was a wonderful trip!

This is a unique property and it was fun to see the moon and stars out of the dome windows on the ceiling at night. Unfortunately, we had major difficulty getting into the unit. The extremely long door code wouldn't open the door on a few occasions, necessitating a call to VACASA. The other really bad thing was the refrigerator. When we loaded it, the door kept coming open, so we pushed a chair in front of it to keep the door closed. However, that wasn't the only problem. The fridge just wasn't working. The ice cube trays were full of water that wouldn't freeze and all of our food in the fridge was ruined. The property manager came with bags of ice the next day, but by then it was too late! We're still waiting to hear if we are going to be compensated for this. The other thing that we hadn't anticipated was all the stairs. It was difficult for us to unload the car, schlep everything upstairs, and then up another flight to the sleeping area. We're both in our 70's and this made it a bit difficult!

Lovely Costal Dome Home

Lovely area, comfortable home just around the corner from a cafe and seafood restaurant as well as cool beach views. Very fun stay, be warned there is not much in the way of privacy or sound isolation so probably best for families or friends that are comfortable with each other. Only missing a star because the washing machine didn’t work and there were some used baking trays that were left in the oven from the previous stay. Otherwise fantastic! Would recommend!

Unique house in a great location near Devil's Punch bowl and two lovely beaches. Short walk to morning coffee shop. Not far to Depoe Bay, Newport, and Lincoln City. House is a little cool in winter, but plenty of blankets provided. Would recommend.
