“A Quiet Place In Clarkdale” is more than just a comfortable space to stay. Many guests find that this is a retreat where they spend all or parts of their days. This is a place to sit and read, watch our wild birds, or simply relax on our patio. You will be on a quiet dead-end street. Perhaps you will want to relive your day’s hike or contemplate the Indian ruins you saw in the morning. It’s all yours. We feature 3 rooms and a full kitchen as well as a washer/dryer so you don’t need to bring many clothes with you. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can store food and prepare dinner right here when you don’t feel like sampling our excellent restaurants and wine bistros in Old Town. There is a small dining table at the window that faces Arizona’s fabulous red rocks that you will view over the walled backyard. When the sun goes down you will enjoy our starry nights since there are no streetlights here. The trees in the backyard become a wonderful twinkling light show for your delight. If you wish to sample our Verde Valley, you will be delighted to find that you are less than 30 minutes away from Sedona, Jerome, 3 State Parks, 2 National Monuments, 2 bird sanctuaries and much more. Did we mention that this is wine country? There are more than 25 wine tasting rooms and several fully operational vineyards here. Clarkdale is a quiet little town, but there is a great deal happening all around it. For example, there is a community college with a vineyard and a maze of hiking trails at the college at the end of our street. Visit us and you will find that we are an unofficial chamber of commerce for the Verde Valley.

Why they chose this property
I built this house in 1997 and shared it with my parents for 10 years. I met my husband Dennis and we decided to stay here in the Verde Valley when we retired. It is convenient to all of the attractions that the Verde Valley has to offer and has a small town feel. We like the slower pace of life here and love to share what this area has to offer.
What makes this property unique
Our street does not have street lights, so our night sky is quite dark. We can see the Milky Way and all of the northern hemisphere constellations. You will enjoy the unique lights sparkling in the trees outside your window, at night. During the day the birds in our area visit our multiple feeders and water features. We have year-round hummingbirds who will actually come right up to you on the patio.
