Joker Point

Joker Point (Luxury Waterfront cottage) cottage is located on a Peninsula in Lake Huron situated along the channels of Les Cheneaux Islands. About 30 minutes from the Mackinac Island ferries. The property offers a large wooded out door area with beautiful views of Moscoe Channel and Coryell Island. Out door area includes Basket ball half court, kayaks, beach, fire pit and wood for renter's use. There are six bedrooms ( located in the upper floor with two twin beds in 2 rooms, one day bed in one room and one queen bed in two rooms. In addition, a maid's quarters with kings size bed is located off the laundry room on the first floor. Two full baths upstairs and one on the main floor.

Beautiful spot

A beautiful spot in the Les Chaneaux Islands region. Large vintage family lodge with lots of room. Renovations were in progress, but didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of the waterfront, surrounding us on 3 sides. We appreciated the use of the kayaks!

Kayaker's Paradise

Jocker Point is an absolutely stunning property in the heart of Les Cheneaux Islands in quaint Cedarville, Michigan. With over 600 feet of pristine lakefront there's room to roam without leaving the property. There is easy access to the water at several points for kayaking or swimming on the private beach. The fully functional lodge is a huge step above cabin living but needs some updating.

AUTHENTIC, CLASSIC LES CHENEAUX PROPERTY!

Joker Point Cottage is a one-of-kind property, not a typical cookie cutter rental. Renters have all of the privacy and space (indoors and out) expected on a historic family compound. The cedar forest acreage surrounding the cottage is magical. The extensive private water frontage is rare and unparalleled for a rental. Ample space to pull up a lawn chair and claim a spot for bird or boat watching, as well as paddling. The focal point of the interior is the stunning great room featuring stone and woodwork that would be difficult to replicate today. Although our party did not cook (we enjoyed the many nearby restaurant offerings, including the Les Cheneaux Culinary School), the kitchen is bright, spacious and appears well-equipped. Follow the owner's directions and on-screen hints for the Jura coffee maker and prepare for the best cup of coffee this side of a European cafe! The many bedrooms and upstairs recreation room offer options to find a place to read or play a game. The bed linen and towels are high end and the mattresses we used were very comfortable. Of course, none of this would matter if the owners were unresponsive or incompetent. Jin and Colleen are a great team. They've found the fine balance of being available without being intrusive. They are congenial, helpful hosts. As with most old wood-built houses there is exterior work to be done, particularly challenging to stay ahead of in the harsh winter climate. But this did not negatively affect our enjoyment of the property. We considered our stay a joy and a privilege and would welcome an opportunity to return.

Excellent location by the waters in the Les Cheneaux region!

Very quiet and private property in a calm town for a relaxing getaway! Enjoyed kayaking, gazing at the Milky Way while staying warm by the outdoor fire pit.
