This cozy casita was a perfect location for our trip to Chama. We were able to walk everywhere in town, including restaurants and the train station. The casita was exceptionally clean and well stocked. A great find. We sat in the yard the first day we got there and enjoyed the autumn weather.
Encanto House was a quiet little place to stay near the Cumbres/Toltec train station. It was walking distance. The little house was clean and had most of the comforts we needed to enjoy our short visit to this beautiful town. Bed was comfy and the coffee was strong. Owners were easy to communicate with. Peaceful stay.
This property is perfect for couples looking to get away. Within walking distance of the town of Chama, it leaves you with many chances to explore the town without having to drive. The house is also very quiet and makes for the prefect relaxing weekend away.
Close to train station. Secure, cozy, clean place. Good size for my family of 3. Liked the decor. The yard is shared with another building. We used the desk for homework. Bathroom was small. Soft rugs. Sadly many places to eat and shop were closed on a Saturday night.
Friends invited us to join them for the Cumbres-Toltec train ride, so decided to stay the nights before and after in Chama. Your casita was perfectly located near the train station, making it our first choice. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in Chama.
We had to change from our original booking due to a heating problem. The property manager contacted us before arrival and relocated us to an even better location.
Small house appropriate for a small family of 4-5. House was clean and had all the essentials available. Within walking distance of the Cumbres Toltec train.

Very nice Casita located 2 blocks from main Street and the tourist railroad. The Casita was clean and comfortable. It took a while for the heater to warm things up but it was late in the fall so that was understandable. Definitely recommend
We did not end up staying at casita because of a miscommunication between the property manager and VRBO system. However, the property manager helped to get us into a new location very quickly and was overly accommodating. The actual place we stayed was beautifully renovated and fit our needs well. The village is so charming and all of the people were kind and helpful.
No Internet as we were told we'd have so no TV or devices..so wife couldn't do her work online major set back for her . Very disappointed. No offer of partial refund.

We appreciate you letting us know Russell, we tried walking you through the steps our internet provider tells us to reset the system. We also followed up asking if you got it up and running to no response. Unfortunately we were unable to reset it ourselves either and had to call our provider, so thank you for making us aware.
Cute property. Well appointed kitchen, minus a dishwasher though. Old home, with sloping floors. This was not a problem except for the twin bedroom, where the occupant felt like she was going to roll out of bed. Leg risers or a platform to level that would be good. Good internet and tv. So much better than a hotel for hanging out.the property managers were quick to help us with a security alarm issue.

This casita is conveniently located within walking distance of Chama rail station and downtown amenities, such as they are. The unit is clean and functional. It is nice by Chama standards where everything is a bit rustic and funky. The unit could be better supplied. No hairdryer or dishwashing soap. No serving bowls. Limited cooking supplies in town with no restaurants Mon-Wed. But still one of the better options in great location.
Good place to stay overall but several improvements need to be made
Good place to stay overall but several improvements need to be made, there was no soap or shampoo provided, toilet seat needs to be repaired, toilet placement is crooked, kitchen could use more supplies like a basic mixing bowl, many of the blinds in the home need to be replaced, parking spot is too tight, back yard needs cutting, couch and living room chairs are not comfortable, bed in main bedroom could use a layer of memory foam for more comfort, gorgeous artwork stored in bedroom closet should be hung, small bedroom is much too small. Owner did not send check in info until last minute and only after our request. These are not things we normally deal with when dealing w other vrbo or other rental companies
Four of us stayed here, and it was just what we needed while visiting family in Chama. It was clean and quiet. The bedding for the sofa bed was missing at first but Austin was very responsive and provided it right away when notified. Location was great - only a few blocks from the family’s cabin and also only a couple of blocks from the downtown shops. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice space with some typical Chama quirks, and great additions with the use of the back yard and BBQ grill.
Could have used a few more supplies: dish soap, paper towels, coffee filters, and toilet paper to name a few. However, when we asked for toilet paper, Austin was quick to get us some. So not a huge deal.
Enjoyed the place, and hope to be there again next year.
Lovely cottage in a residential neighborhood. The house had a Mediterranean feel and was very relaxing. I appreciated the unexpected goodies left for the stay. The garden was a nice spot for coffee and reading.
This is a cute house with two bedrooms. One is normal size with a queen bed. The other is rather small with a twin (?) bed that is comfortable but on a frame that squeaks a lot. Located moments from the Chama rail yard and all other points downtown. Only issue is that there was a neighboring dog that barked much of the night.
