About this property

MOUNTAIN ROUNDHOUSE - 16 MILES FROM MAIN STREET BOZEMAN

Unique and amazing vacation home in the mountains only 16 miles from Main Street Bozeman.

If you enjoy and appreciate nature, views, stars, and the sounds of the forest, we would love for you to spend your visit in our roundhouse. If you are visiting MT, you already know what a great state this is. Whether you are here to hike, bike, ski, or to visit friends & family, this house offers an unparalleled experience. Check in time is 4:00 p.m. and checkout is 11:00 a.m. (unless other arrangements have been made).

Our roundhouse in the mountains is nestled in a Doug fir and lodgepole forest with AMAZING views of the mountains. The sunrise shines incredible light on the mountains and the sun sets behind them allowing for some of the best views around! We offer a fully equipped kitchen, front deck with hot tub and grill, plenty of parking, and the place all to yourself. We're 16 miles from Bozeman, 1.5 hours from Big Sky, and just 1.5 hours from Yellowstone. Bridger Bowl Ski Area and Crosscut cross country ski areas (hiking and biking too) is only a stones throw away.

This amazing getaway is located at the end of a private road which is only shared with 3 other houses. Greet the day with the trees swaying and the birds singing as you enjoy coffee or tea on the deck and watch the mountains come to life.

The roundhouse was built by the owner and incorporates new, reclaimed, and hand sawn materials. Modern amenities blend with cozy comforts of the mountains and allow for a "glamping" type experience. Elk, deer, black bears, coyotes, moose, owls, and birds grace these woods and offer occasional wildlife sightings.

On the main floor you can enjoy a fully stocked kitchen complete with extensive bakeware, cookware, serving ware, and glassware. Brand new appliances make for easy cooking and a new dishwasher allows for even easier clean up after a delicious meal. On demand hot water system provides plenty of hot and warm water for cooking and showering. Incredible mountain fresh water comes direct from the 440' well and tastes as good as it gets. The open floor plan combines the dining room, kitchen, and living room making for a welcoming area for you. Each bedroom offers inviting amenities including high quality hotel sheets, hypo allergenic pillows, and down comforters. Each bed has a wall mounted reading light and each room has a heater to take the chill off of cool mornings or evenings.

The bathroom is bright and large with heated Brazilian tile floor and large glass shower. Plenty of room for towels, toiletry kits, and bathing suit hooks.

The loft area is an incredible spot to read a book, play a game, or sit and enjoy a beverage while recapping your day's adventures.

The living room is equipped with a new high efficiency wood stove and large wooden tables. Great views are offered while sitting in the leather chair, sofa, or couch and never let you forget where you are at...in the mountains in Montana!

Mountain biking, hiking, exploring, fishing, are all 5 minutes away and town offers a great assortment of bakeries, restaurants, shops, breweries, and gear stores.

Our property sits on 10 acres but we ask that you spend your time away from our neighbors properties so that the can enjoy their piece of paradise as well.

The owner sometimes accesses the shop (detached and across the parking area) but does so with respect and allows you you're own space.

The roundhouse is located 15-20 minutes from town. The last .5 miles is on a private gravel road. It is a fun and adventurous mountain road and we ask that you maintain 10 mph at all times out of respect for the neighbors and for animal safety.

4WD or AWD is required in the winter but the road is plowed and maintained by the owner and neighbor.

Our roundhouse is perfect for 8 folks and we do not allow parties or large gatherings. There is an outdoor fire pit which can be used as long as the fire danger allows. Signage will be posted as to the fire danger but we do ask that no large fires be made.

No discharge of weapons or hunting is allowed at or from the property. Thank you.

Amazing!

The most amazing Yurt in the bridger mountain range. With a plethora of: views, wildlife, and comfort, this Yurt is an amazing stay. Dash, the property manager, made it extremely easy, comforting, and resourceful for my weekend stay. Will certainly be staying here again when the snow falls.

Best VRBO stay ever

It’s hard to put into words how well this vacation went. The host Dash is amazing. To say it was one of the cleanest stays ever is an understatement. The views even better. The beds were very comfortable as well. We will be back.

Vacation in Yurt

We had a wonderful week in the yurt. The property was clean and inside was modern with all the necessities. Dash was a great host and responsive. The location was close to hiking and biking trails. There are clear views of the Bridger Mountains and the hot tube provided a nice spot to watch the sunrise.

Paradise up Bridger Canyon

This is a one of a kind property. We were able to enjoy a feeling of remote wilderness while having upscale accommodations including comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and a hot tub with an outstanding view. Dash was responsive, clear, and kind in all of our communication. The yurt was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The location was conveniently close to Bozeman, hiking, and mountain biking. We will definitely return for ski season.

Luxury Yurt Experience in Bridger Mountains

Our family loved our 2nd stay at Grassy Mountain Yurt. You are not exactly roughing it in this fully stocked yurt with all the amenities you could ask for. Comfy beds, cozy couches surround the wood burning stove and the loft is a great place for game night or playtime. We loved sitting on the patio at twilight enjoying the views and sunset over Bridger mountain. It’s off the beaten path enough to feel like an off-grid experience with all the comforts and luxuries of a resort. Truly unique experience that epitomizes Montana!
