Log cabin in a very private setting on the water with a dock and access to the Stockbridge bowl. Waterfront property close to Tanglewood, Lenox, Stockbridge, hiking and boating. We have kayaks, a rowboat, and a stand-up paddle board for your use. Very comfortable house with a large porch with outside seating, a propane fire pit, and a propane heater. Central AC with a large fireplace, whole home generator in case of storm outages. Gentle slope to the water, watch the beavers swim by, the black bear wander across the yard with plenty of deer, fox, bald eagles, and turtles to be seen.

Wonderful Stockbridge stay!

We had a lovely 2 week stay at this log cabin. The home was perfect and well stocked. Fantastic location. We spent many hours out and about on the Stockbridge Bowl. Chuck answered any questions I had very quickly. Overall a lovely and relaxing stay

Charming and comfortable log cabin

The log cabin is delightful and charming. Living room is very comfortable and sun-lit all around. Kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. There are beautiful views from every window in the public rooms. Unfortunately persistent rain prevented us from enjoying the outdoor setting or the lake. Our hosts left us with helpful instructions and were very responsive to any questions we had. Ideally located for easy access to the many activities available in the Berkshires. We have rented vacation houses for many years and this is one we would most definitely consider returning to.

The best get-away in the Berkshires.

Thanks very much to Chuck and Karen for making our “sisters’ weekend” one to remember for all the best reasons. Shangri-Log was spotless, very well-equipped, exceptionally comfortable, and in the perfect location to relax around the home yet provide so many things to do/see nearby. It truly was a memorable time for us, and my 3 sisters and I enjoyed our short stay immensely. Chuck and Karen were wonderful hosts, supplying an easy check-in, great information about the area, and everything we needed to know (and more!) about their home. They also dealt graciously with the special requests we made, enabling all of my sisters to have a stress-free weekend. Cannot recommend the location and our hosts strongly enough. If you experience this warm and welcoming home for yourself, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s a 5-star gem.

Lakeside cabin near Tanglewood

Beautiful, clean log cabin home on lake with kayaks for touring the Stockbridge Bowl. Location is perfect for attending Tanglewood concerts, going to Kripalu on a day pass, and touring the Berkshires. You will be right in between Lenox and Stockbridge centers with all of their great restaurants. Try Main St Cafe in Stockbridge for a great breakfast or lunch. Try Alta in Lenox for a dinner you won’t forget. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very nice home - quiet and secluded and with a water view and activities if you wish. Very near to Tanglewood. We felt pampered staying as the guests of these kind hosts.

A Lovely Stay

Thank you for renting your lovely lakeside home to my wife and me. A great location convenient to all of the wonderful and historic Berkshires towns. It was great to relax on the boat slip for some evening fishing after touring the surrounds. The home is spacious, very clean, and with all amenities for a welcoming stay. We highly recommend this rental home! Thank you, again.
