Perfect location for everything , 10 minutes from so much that the berkshires have to offer. Clean , cozy and the owners seem to have thought of everything! Loved our stay and hope we will return sometime!

It was a lovely, cozy beach cottage with all the lake gear you could want. It was the perfect lacation for visiting my daughter at shakespeare and company

We came to this area to attend an event at Kripalu and stayed here due to its proximity there. We loved the quiet, comfort, beautiful surroundings and morning paddle on Stockbridge Bowl. Craig is an extremely nice, accommodating host and highly recommend this place.

I Loved my stay at the cozy cottage and hope to stay again in the future.The weekend weather was hot so I spent time down at the beach and on the deck, relaxing and reading. A/C units worked well and the outside shower was a great option for keeping cool. The host was helpful and responsive. Great experience overall.

We enjoyed our stay but had to deal with a few issues. The photos are accurate but the furnishings are very iffy. The throw pillows were from the 1990s and in poor shape. The king bed had a egg crate style foam topper. There was no hot water in the shower near kitchen. While there was hot water in the second shower, the light in this dark room would only work 30% of the time. Fixture would go off for no reason and not come back on. Had to take dark showers 1/2 the time.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay overall. We had a plumber come out immediately to fix the water mixer in the shower near the kitchen, and there were two other showers available in the meantime. We also checked all the light fixtures before and after your stay and found no issue with them. As for the decor, this is our family lake home, and the furnishings reflect that style. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

Excellent Stockbridge location

Location of this property is near all things Stockbridge has to offer. Easy ride to Tanglewood Short ride to Lenox and Lee The cottage is an older gem Well stocked and lots of quirky charm

Fun cottage, good location. Across the street from public beach, boat access on Stockbridge Bowl. Minutes from Tanglewood, Stockbridge, etc. Cottage is nice and comfortable enough, but could use some TLC.

Tanglewood

If you’re going to events at Tanglewood, this is a prime location. We added on an extra concert because of the easy 6 minute drive. This little lake cabin was quaint and cozy. The outdoor shower was superb. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful area, great spot!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cabin! The owners were responsive to questions and the cabin was clean and well stocked. The bathrooms were quite small. We walked to the beach, which is only a short distance downhill and across the street. We just cooled off in the water because we thought it would be difficult to carry the kayaks or paddleboards back up the steep hill. There is so much to do in the area.

This is definitely not the Ritz, but it is a centrally located, good value, and great for sitting out on the deck for meals or relaxation. You may have to put up with idiosyncrasies, latches that don't quite work, a shower that is past its prime, or moths making their way into the lights inside the house. But if you are up to a little adventure, the place is cozy, comfortable seating, and a serviceable kitchen.

We had such a lovely time at this cottage. Everything was clean and well labeled. It can get a little chilly in the shoulder seasons especiar night so we took advantage of the space heaters offered, There was plenty to do- water sports and games and the beach practically across the street had nice access and picnic tables. Absolutely loved the vibe and the instant feelings of peace experienced here. We will go back! We also brought our baby so our first Vrbo with a 5 month old in tow. Only thing to watch out for are the steps from the kitchen to the bedroom. We left the baby’s splash mat there to remind us to step up.

Outstanding Stay over 4th Weekend

Cant say enough nice things about our stay at this cabin. We traveled from MO to see James Taylor at Tanglewood over the 4th of July weekend. We stayed 4 nights, and had the time of our lives. The first few nights my wife and I stayed by ourselves, and explored Lenox and the neighboring towns. Lots of shops and great places to eat. Then friends from CT joined, and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards ( supplied) all day of the 4th at Stockbridge Bowl ( lake across the street). Weather was perfect for our 5 min car ride to Tanglewood. And if you are going to Tanglewood from this location, use the "Lions Gate". After the concert we enjoyed fireworks in the parking lot with 20,000 guests, and it only took us less than 5 minutes to get back to the cabin. The only bad thing I can say, is that I didn't want to leave. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. BOOK IT if available, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely little cabin

Very sweet cabin. Great location to the town beach. Loved having access to watercraft. A few disappointments with the cooking situation but most things were available. No oven. Just a stove top and countertop oven. Grill was partially functioning. The place was clean and cozy. Lots of blankets. The outdoor shower was wonderful. Waterfall shower head and beautiful view of the treetops. Record player with great albums was a nice touch. Enjoyed very much.

relaxing weekend

We had a great long weekend in the cabin - very cozy and incredible views! It was wonderful to wake up and be surrounded by green and birds chirping and finish off the day in the outdoor shower. Very conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and sites in Stockbridge and Lenox.

Not Like the Pictures

For the amount we paid a night we expected this house to be a lot nicer. The first thing to note is that while from the photos, it looks like it is by itself in a field, it is actually on top of a number of other houses and there is a house directly in front of it. We were disappointed with the condition of the place - it all needs a coat of paint and some TLC. The couches were stained and we saw about a dozen spiders on the walls and in the eves. Of course, this is a country house and there will be bugs but it just looked as though no one had cleaned anywhere besides the kitchen and bathrooms for a long time. We also noticed mouse droppings around the home and saw mouse traps so assume at some point they had an issue with them. Again, not a huge problem but for the price we paid we expected a MUCH nicer, cleaner home. They obviously are good at marketing themselves and the pictures on here are very deceptive. Would not rent again.
