The Blue Tide Cottage is a condo at Niguel Beach Terrace just across the street from Strands Beach and Strands View Park. The property is completely renovated and comes fully ready for you to enjoy.

Cooking up a meal? Our kitchen is fully stocked and the grill ready to be fired up. Doing the dishes has never been easier with both a dishwasher and an ocean view from the sink. Rinsing off the saltwater and sand from Strands beach? Our bathrooms are both fully stocked with linens for your stay.

A Wonderful Stay!

We certainly enjoyed our month long stay at The Sea & Sun at Strands Beach. The ocean views from everywhere in the home are unmatched, and the sunsets are breathtaking. It is a comfortable and well-equipped vacation home with all the amenities. Vida was a wonderful host and provided everything we needed during our stay.

Well kept and well equipped property across the street from a park and the beach. The owner was helpful and attentive. Three bedrooms are a plus. We stayed for about three weeks and enjoyed our time.

What a beautiful place! My wife and I recently stayed here with another two couples and we had a wonderful time. The place is in amazing shape. Everything is brand new and tastefully decorated. The beach is extremely close. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Dana Point Apartment

My wife and I really enjoyed our time in Dana Point. Not only was Vida incredibly nice and hospitable, but the apartment was a delightful and centrally located place to spend time in SoCal. Steps from the beach and walking distance to great restaurants the apartment allowed us to easily spend time in LA, SD and many great locations in SoCal. We can’t wait to visit again.

Wonderful Vacation

The property upon arrival was very clean, had everything we could ever need, and the host had left us some tasty treats! We were impressed the moment we walked in. The view, ocean breezes and proximity to the ocean were added highlights for us. We enjoyed our time immensely and have never had a more responsive, and kind host. Our host was wonderful. Great Beach Condo

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful condo. The condo itself if very relaxing, with nice furniture and great views and patios. It is a great place to stay with kids because they have everything you need (stuffed animals, games, beach umbrella, beach toys and boogie boards) and a great pool and hot tub. We felt right at home here, and Vida left special treats and surprises for the kids. It's a close drive to awesome beaches, Disney, good restaurants, and shops. I recommend staying here for sure!

Beautiful beach getaway for the Holidays

i rented this property for my parents and my wife's parents to stay, along with a week long visit from my sister. The location is wonderful and very walkable to beaches and restaurants. Everyone loved the views and the sunsets. The bedrooms were nice and the place was well stocked for a months stay. The kitchen had everything you could want and the laundry was very convenient. Parking was easy as there were designated spots behind and plenty of public parking in front. It was a great experience for everyone. Highly recommend.

A wonderful location....

Having spent two weeks covering thousands of miles in an RV, we just wanted somewhere comfortable for the last few days of our holiday. This condo exceeded all all our expectations in terms of quality and location. It is very well equipped, spacious and furnished to a high standard. It has a lovely view out to sea and is a 10 minute (steep) walk to a great beach. The owners also couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.

Nice house, great location

We had a great time staying at the house as a family. Vida was very responsive and nice. The house came fully stocked with many plates and bowls as well as a blender and other appliances. The host generously shared beach toys, towels, and even boogie boards to use. The highlights were the sunset view and short walk to the beach. Thanks, Vida!

This condo is beautifully...

This condo is beautifully redone and updated. It really felt like home, the owners had plenty of extras as well - including - toys for the kids (what a nice surprise as we had 4 young kids) and beach toys!!! The views are amazing - every room has a view of the ocean! We would definitely stay here again!The owner was wonderful with some little extras as well making sure we had everything we needed for our first night as we arrived a little late. You can even walk to a few restaurants and coffee shops on PCH - in addition there are some great walking paths around the beach with excellent views. Close to the marina as well.

Our Home Away From Home

Our two-month stay marked a crazy transition from our 30+ year life in California to our new home in Georgia. It was a difficult time, so this incredible location, amazing condo and it's lovely and caring owner was the best going-away present ever. The condo is beautifully appointed with every amenity you could ever want, from a stocked kitchen to beach gear to little extras throughout that always brought a smile. The ocean view is spectacular and the complex is friendly and peaceful, with the added benefit of a pool and jacuzzi as an ocean alternative. Proximity to downtown Dana Point made a car almost unnecessary, with restaurants and services walkable, not to mention a fantastic scenic hiking trail that spanned the beach, cliffs, marina and parks. The perfect alternative to predictable hotels - this is a not-to-be-missed experience.

Best VRBO Property Ever

We have stayed at VRBO properties all over the US and Vida’s property is by far the best we have ever stayed at. The property is better than what was advertised. The location is perfect right across from the park with panoramic ocean views and is within easy walking distance to all of our favorite restaurants in the Lantern District in Dana Point. The property is immaculate and has everything that you need. The kitchen is completely equipped, there are great linens on the beds and plenty of quality towels and beach towels. There are beach chairs, beach umbrellas and beach toys for enjoying the beach that is only a few minute walk away. The community is quiet and well maintained and there is plenty of convenient off street parking. Vida is a great host and has thought of everything to make a stay at the beach comfortable and relaxing. I would highly recommend this property and we will definitely return for another stay!

Vida is a great host! Very kind, helpful and friendly! She always tells - just let me know if you need something. And it is really like that! Her place is very comfortable, clean and cozy! The kitchen has a lot of cooking stuff. And many beach accesories are also provided for your convinience! Location is great! You can enjoy walking along the beach and beautiful ocean sunsets, even from your windows! There is a 5-10 min walk to the beach by steps. Please be aware that back walk from the beach will be very sporty due to a significant elevation, hight difference about 170 foots (50 meters). Nearby here is also a tram/lift to the beach, but it works only in Summer. In not Summer season it works only in weekends.

This place was amazing. Stop researching because this condo is exactly what you are looking for! Amazing, impeccable, gorgeous, everything the photos show. It was very clean and has the exact necessities you would need just like in your own home to make everything comfy. While enjoying all the comforts of this condo, you have all the amenities of the community pool and jacuzzi area. Across the street is gorgeous Strand Beach, considered one of the best beaches in Southern California. Walk to new hiking trails at Dana Headlands and stroll all the way to Dana Point Harbor. The owners were fantastic. They were well organized and quick to ensure the home delivered the 5 star services. We would highly recommend this to family and friends. It's everything it advertises to be. The only problem we could find is we had to leave!!! We are already planning a return trip. Thank you, Vida!!

What a find!

We just returned from a fantastic week in California. What a wonderful vacation home! We felt right at home. The decorating of the home is "homey" yet relaxing. The kitchen had all of the essentials we could want, we used the BBQ at the condo one evening, and the washer/dryer were an extra plus for our family. There were 4 adults and 2 kids staying and we all had plenty of room for the week. Vida, was a fantastic host and left us special welcoming "presents" when we arrived. What a nice surprise! This was our first time using a vacation rental so I was a little nervous. NO NEED! Vida communicated with us frequently, answered any and all questions and it was reassuring to know she was close by if need be while we were there. The views from the condo can't be beat! What an ocean view. One of the highlights of the trip was sitting on the porch with a cold beverage and watching the sunset every evening. This place has only positives!

Sea & Sun at Strands Beach beats all expectations for a well-equipped comfortable vacation home with all the amenities. The Pacific sunsets from the front windows of the house with a clear view of Catalina Island are magnificent. Vida and Kourash are wonderful hosts.

Our family had a lovely stay in beautiful Dana Point. Vida was a most gracious hostess, starting with our welcoming fruit and food baskets to her making sure we were comfortable. Her updated condo was very convenient to the beautiful beach and within walking distance to the downtown restaurants and nearby stores. Visiting the harbor area was a special treat. Sea & Sand is a Keeper

We have rented previously at the Strands Beach complex and enjoyed the experience, but Sea & Sand blows the competition out of the water. Wonderful landlady who provides amenities and a true home away from home.

We stayed for the month of July, 2015. This was a repeat visit as we've stayed here several times before and as usual we had the best accommodation, best communications, and all in the 3 bedroom unit was the best overall quality and condition we have ever experienced in Dana Point over the last nine we have vacationed in this beautiful complex adjacent the Strand Beach and walking distance into Dana Point. The hiking trail overlooking the ocean and the harbor was a2-3 mile hike daily. We'll return again and again. The arrival snacks, fruit, etc. were great as usual and Vida called to assure all was well during our stay.

A Great Family Holiday

Our stay at Sea & Sun was for month over Christmas & New Year’s last year. Although we stayed at other places in Dana Point during the holidays in prior years, there is no question that Sea & Sun topped them all. First, there are the accommodations which are the best we‘ve experienced yet in this price range, both in terms of quality and condition. Second, the home is very well equipped compared to most. Especially appreciated was the well-stocked kitchen and the many beach items which obviated the need for us to purchase anything for our beach adventures. Third, the location of the condo complex and especially the location of Sea & Sun itself is nigh on to perfect; with relatively easy walks to downtown, to the headlands, to the beach and also a place to watch some of the more beautiful sunsets we have seen over the years. Perhaps most important, Vida’s personal attention throughout the entire process from booking, to arrival, to meeting our needs during our stay was the best we have enjoyed of all the places we have stayed over the years. We put up our Christmas decorations and enjoyed the holidays with our family as much as we would have at home. Our sincere thanks to Vida and to her family for our wonderful family holiday.

Restful, Relaxing and Worry-Free

Family of four - two teenage girls - one week stay. When our two teenager girls *both* are happy, you can be assured that any establishment is a keeper. This place is a gem. All possible needs are taken care of - even a few treats on arrival. Well stocked and well located. We enjoyed hikes down to the beach and over the bluffs. Easy drive to Disneyland and surrounding attractions. Your landlord is a personal tour guide too. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic holiday

Vida was a lovely host and her attention to detail was first class she wanted our holiday to be a wonderful experience and liaised with us to make sure this was possible. Her condo was lovely with everything you needed including lots of beach equipment for our use. When we arrived at the condo it was spotlessly clean and she had left us lots of treats. The bathrooms had hand soap and travel sized shampoos and conditioners even a small mouthwash. We rang her to advise of our arrival and she said we could contact her if there was anything we needed. We had such a lovely time we did not want to leave. Vida is truly an awesome host
