We loved the cottage for so many reasons. It had so many conveniences in the way it is laid out and the furnishings. It is simple but thoughtfully had all the necessities. We loved the lake and all of the sandy area for swimming. We were able to bike and kayak as much as we wanted in this ideal location. The owner was super friendly and helpful.
This was our second year staying here. The owners did major declutter which improved the experience greatly. The cabin feels more spacious, brighter and has lots of space for personal belongings. They kept enough things to retain the family lake cabin feel. The lake is beautiful as always with sandy bottom and clear water. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding towns and lakes. Dave is a great host and very easy to work with.
This comfy, cozy cottage was the perfect place for our summer getaway. Lake Bellaire is the best in the area, with fresh clear water, a shallow sandy swim beach, minimal boat traffic and no swimmers itch! The cottage was a classic construction from the 50’s, carpeted with all the basics. Our host Dave lives nearby, greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed, and could not have been more friendly and hospitable. We had a wonderful week at the lake cottage. Highly recommended.
I can't say enough about how perfect this cabin is. We are repeat renters, having stayed here 2 summers ago. I love all the updates since then and how open it feels but has the "up north" energy that I love. I also love the pine throughout, the kitchen has plenty of open cabinet space for groceries and is well stocked with essentials....it really is perfect. The owner is great. If you are an early riser as I am you get to experience a stunning sunrise over the lake every morning. It's a great little cabin.
Dave was a great host. We enjoyed the lake from the moment we arrived. Cabin was perfect for our stay had everything we needed. Neighbors were very friendly. We had coffee watching the sun come up and cocktails sitting in the lake as the sun went down! The cabin has a great up- north charm it’s absolutely perfect. Will be coming back for sure.
Second time staying here. Love the lake and location. Cottage brings back memories for me growing up summers on lake Bellaire. I highly recommend staying here. Cottage is clean and comfortable, lake is amazing with hard sandy bottom and host is great.
The cottage is a perfect little place to stay, the lake is beautiful and peaceful. I would stay here again. The owner is very nice and easy to work with. We had no issues.
Exactly as advertised. Clean, nice view, very comfortable beds. Had everything in the cottage you would need and then some!! Plenty to do in the area. Loved boating in the lake and the other lakes nearby. Biked down road to Torch Lake, beautiful bike ride. Dave was very helpful and we loved visiting with him. Neighbors were friendly also. Great time!
Best spot on the chain of lakes. Beautiful lake front that can’t be beat. Water very shallow and incredibly pure sand for long way out. Owner very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us.
Rustic old cabin. It belonged to owner’s parents. Cabin is small but comfortable. Quiet surroundings. Good communication with owner. He lives nearby. Great beach in front of cabin. You can rent kayaks and pontoon boats in Bellaire, which is about 10 minute drive. There are restaurants and shops there. You need to bring bed linens bath and beach towels.
Cute cabin with an original layout & style.
The home itself & decor was a step back in time - bringing back great memories of our grandparents when we would visit.
The bathroom & kitchen were well stocked & had everything we needed during our short stay.
The view was great & we enjoyed morning coffee out on the deck- a cozy little cabin.
This cottage has an amazing view and the lake is perfect for boating, floating, kayaking, swimming and just admiring the view. The cottage is a traditional cottage - full of charm and that traditional up-north cottage feel. Owner was very nice and was available to answer questions. You would not regret renting this cottage - I highly recommend.
We were met at the property by the owner who then ran through a few things regarding the property and area. It is a well maintained older home. I can't vouch for the kitchen much because we never cooked but what we used was in good working order. You need to bring your own sheets and towels but the beds themselves are very comfortable. Some of the best things are the 45 to 60 minutes before sunrise....gorgeous! Firewood was provided and we made good use of it! The pinecones worked great as fire starters. It is just a very peaceful home and location. Would definitely rent again.
Cabin with a modern shower & toilet. Beautiful setting and place to anchor boat. Lake is wonderful, very deep & clean. Close to Torch Lake restaurant & limited store.
Booking was easy. Dave promptly sent an email with with his contact info and check-in info. The property was clean, cozy and centrally located for the many excursions we had in mind. My only regret is that, as it was a little last minute, we didn’t rent a pontoon boat for the week prior to arrival. We just happened to visit at the busiest time of year so boats were scarce. We did manage to find some jet skis and Torch lake was absolutely amazing!! Great host! Great vacation! Thank you Dave!
What a great cottage and perfect for our smaller groups this year. I've been coming to Lake Bellaire since 1964 and loved everything about this cottage. The pine interior, the glass in the front overlooking the lake, the gorgeous willow tree, the swing by the fire pit and the cozy, comfortable and inviting energy of the cabin...perfect. Dave, the owner, was fabulous. It's definitely a cabin I would rent again and highly recommend.
We loved this rental. It's an old cottage style house with a wonderful location. There is an amazing sandbar right out the front door and a great fire pit. Neighbors and owner are very friendly and helpful.
Cozy cottage with a great spot on a great lake! Perfect for what we were looking for, boating the chain from Bellaire to Elk. Dave was helpful and so was the neighbor. Great sandy beach!
