I’m very glad you enjoyed your stay and I’d like to apologize if my housekeepers missed anything at all. I wish you would have notified me so I could have immediately rectified the issues, even if minor. Sometimes these things happen, but you can be assured that everything is cleaned and sanitized after every guest. It’s my goal always have happy and satisfied guests. I’m very glad that you enjoyed your stay and found the house unique as it is a rustic contemporary among the trees. The entire home was absolutely clean throughout however if you thought something additional could be done, I would have happily attended to it. I realize that when traveling, often times getting used to appliances can take a bit. The stove is functioning as it should and there is an abundance of supplies and utensils. We do stock sponges and towels and dish soap regularly. There is also a dishwasher with detergent. However, if they could not be found or if housekeeping forgot something, I certainly apologize. Again, had you asked for anything at all, I would have tried to accommodate you. I am not sure what you are referring to when you say the deck is “unsafe”. This is one heckuva statement that is absolutely not true. All my properties are safe and are checked regularly as is the deck. It is structurally sound as is well railed. If you felt in easy on it I’m sorry. It is stable and can be enjoyed with normal use. Your are correct to point out the growth under the steps. However, this was not poison Ivy. It was an over growth of vines that have since been removed. It is a wooded setting and sometimes that stuff grows like crazy. It should have been removed before your arrival. Sorry we missed it. I guess I’m a little disappointed with a 3 Star rating. We work hard to give our guests a terrific experience. I would encourage readers of this review to look at all of the other reviews of this property and me as a host. I think you will find it’s a very nice option for you to enjoy. There are always plenty of towels and washcloths as well as fresh linens. If ever they “disappear “ we are quick to replace. I’m happy to see that you enjoyed your stay. If given the opportunity to provide anything additional at all, I would have tried. As a host it is difficult to be perfect but we can always try. We depend on comments and private suggestions when appropriate. Receiving a three star review hurts our ratings and our business and are something we always try to avoid. There are always things being done. We strive for the following comments that this guest made (minus the wash cloths). “we did enjoy our stay but there are a few things to do to property. The host was very nice and all in all its a very nice place. Also there are not enough wash clothes in bathrooms but plenty of towels. The beds are comfy and clean.”

Trash was caused by critters as you stated. It has been cleaned up and issue rectified. I apologize for the inconvenience and the first impression. I tried to compensate accordingly. I hope that the accommodations were worthy of more than 3 stars as typically the reviews are better than that. Hope the pizzas and beverages were enjoyed by all. Safe travels.
