Excellent stay

This is a very convenient place to stay in Hamburg and it adds a very pleasant change to being in a big city. The metro stations are close and after eating in the city you can retire to the calm of your river house.

The best VRBO we have ever stayed at.

The houseboat is amazing. Lots of space for everyone. Very very clean, great kitchen appliances. The location is perfect. The hosts were very friendly, amazingly helpful. It is the best (out of 100’s) stay we have ever had!!!We will come back and recommend to all our friends.

We felt very welcome at the houseboat. Extra special features included a fruit basket, flowers on the tables, and all needs met that people have when travelling. There was a wonderful deck, easy transportation, adequate cooking facilities and all you need for duck feeding!

Floating fantastic

Peissnitz hausbout was a truly fabulous experience. Plenty of beds, living space, well appointed kitchen and bathroom, outdoor decks all made it a relaxed and comfortable stay. The wildlife on the canal - ducks, swans, otter, swimmers, canoeists and rowers all made it a fun place but quiet and private. Can’t wait to stay again. Herring was delightful and helpful making booking, arrival and departure process easy too.

Unique stay in Hamburg

This property has been lovingly restored as a fantastic property to stay in Hamburg. The accommodation was spotless and fully equipped. We've had a wunderful time at the houseboat Peissnitz. Bedrooms and toilet bath on lower area, well-equipped kitchen and lounge, on upper level.There are several spots on the boat, to sit and enjoy weather, water and the birds.We also used the kanoes, really nice to have that possibility, on our vacation.The houseboat is set at a prfect place, easy to get around in Hamburg

Our family had a wonderful three-week stay on the Peißnitz. Even before you consider the fact that it is a houseboat, it had more space and amenities than most holiday apartments we'd stayed at before -- a separate room for each of our two children (my daughter loved the cosy cabin and its bunk bed), a full kitchen with quality appliances and kitchenware (and a dishwasher!), and a clothes washer and dryer in one of the two bathrooms. We felt very much like we were staying in the owner's own vacation home that was loved and assembled with care, rather than a cheaply-furnished profit-making venture. Being on a houseboat, however, was what made our stay magical and relaxing -- surrounded by the greenery on both banks, and greeted in the morning by ducks and swans who would swim over to be fed cornflakes. In sunny weather, we enjoyed sitting on the large upper deck during the daytime and watching the world go by -- canoeists, rowers, and paddleboaters all day long. (It does rock back and forth gently on the water, though; if you're prone to motion sickness, make sure you take precautions.)Transit connectivity is good; bus stops are close by, and subway stations are a brisk walk (about 10 minutes or so) away. Shops -- including a large supermarket and drugstores -- and restaurants are within walking distance. It was easy to get to the Hauptbahnhof for rail trips out of the city.We already had lots of pleasant memories of Hamburg; our stay on the Peißnitz has added to them.

Unique and wonderful experience

There were eight of us that stayed very comfortably in the houseboat. We had an excellent time, taking out the canoes and exploring the canals leading to a pretty lake that was fun to fish in the neighborhood was beautiful and walkable and public transportation was very close we would highly recommend this and stay there again. It was a beautiful experience.

Lovely Houseboat in Hamburg

We had a lovely stay in Hamburg and really enjoyed staying on the Peisssnitz! It is very clean and the design is very modern. It has everything you need and it is close to public transportation to go out and enjoy the city. One thing that should be obvious but I didn't think of before arriving: the boat does move a little bit because it's on the water and when it is windy.

A Magical Escape on the Water

From the moment we stepped onto the houseboat, we knew we were in for a treat! Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary, and I can't recommend this experience highly enough. The houseboat itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped and the cosy living areas and bedrooms. The hosts had thoughtfully provided all the essentials, from cookware to cozy blankets for cooler evenings. Speaking of the Henning, our host, he was welcoming, and incredibly attentive. His hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, making our stay even more memorable. The location was ideal- with local shops for food and just a short hop on the train into central Hamburg. If you're looking for a unique getaway, that’s something different from staying in a hotel or renting an apartment, this houseboat is the perfect choice.

A wonderful, relaxing house on the canal

If we only knew how wonderful this place was, we would have stayed longer. The houseboat is spacious, the kitchen is modern and well-equipped, and the amenities are thoughtful. We highly recommend the houseboat Our family of five stayed here comfortably. It was relaxing waking up with the birds chirping on the nearby trees and the swans swimming by in the canal. The kitchen and the eating area was big enough to enjoy a large family meal. And the large outdoor space offered opportunities to enjoy a morning coffee or a meal al fresco. The bedrooms and sleeping areas were spacious. The houseboat is located near two train stops allowing easy access to different parts of Hamburg. And the houseboat is also close to a shopping center with a two grocery stores and bakery. Hamburg is a wonderful city and worth a return visit; our visit was made all the better by staying in the houseboat.

Very Unique and Super Fun!

We had a wonderful week at the houseboat and Henning is such a wonderful host. Upon arrival, Henning met our family of 4 in person and share the story about the houseboat and went theough all the details about the boat. The houseboat is surprisingly spacious for our family of four, it was designed with heart and got so many cool features. Maintainence was topnotch and everything functions really well. It is also surprisingly well stocked with all things you might need, there was even a meat slicer machine in the kitchen! All other supplies were more than plenty, very appreciate the thoughtfulness. We were in Hamburg for our kid's soccer tournament, convenient location and having a washer/dryer in the houseboat are the major reasons we booked it. But we got way more than what we expected, we got to feed the swans right outside of the window, got to row the boat down to the lake everyday and got to enjoy family time together after a busy day of soccer games. Henning is so nice to make this cool house available for others, we would definitely want to stay here again next time we are in Hamburg! Thank you Henning!

Aussergewöhnliches Hausboot mit perfekter Lage in Hamburg Dieses Hausboot am Eilbekkanal war ein absoluter Volltreffer. Die Lage mitten in Hamburg und trotzdem ruhig am Wasser hat uns sofort überzeugt. Von der grosszügigen Terrasse aus hatten wir einen schönen Blick auf den Kanal, und eines der bereitgestellten Kanus konnten wir ebenfalls nutzen. Die Ausstattung liess keine Wünsche offen: Küche, Waschmaschine, Trockner und WLAN funktionierten einwandfrei, und mit vier Schlafzimmern hatten wir genug Platz für unsere Gruppe. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut, alle Fragen wurden schnell und freundlich beantwortet. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können dieses Hausboot uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot – jederzeit wieder!Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot Preissnitz. Herr Bossow ist ein super sympathischer Gastgeber – die Kommunikation war jederzeit schnell und unkompliziert, von der Buchung bis zur Abreise lief alles reibungslos.Das Hausboot selbst ist perfekt ausgestattet, besonders die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ein echtes Highlight sind die Kanus, die man kostenlos mitbenutzen kann – so lässt sich die Umgebung vom Wasser aus wunderbar erkunden.Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Hausboot uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Our stay at Henning's houseboat was a highlight of our entire vacation. From efficient communication to the most hospitable welcome, we all voted this as our favorite vacation rental. The houseboat was beyond stocked with everything you would need and more. The location on the canal was a wonderful break from the busy city, but also accessing the city was very easy. We borrowed the canoe and paddled all the way to the big lake passing by swans and ducks with their babies and cafe's that you could tie up to for a drink and a bite to eat. I can't recommend this stay enough! Thank you Henning for sharing your delightful spot with us.

Die Peissnitz ist ein hervorragend ausgestattetes Hausboot, das wirklich keine Wünsch offen lässt. Eine große offene Küche mit großem Esstisch sowohl drinnen als auch draußen gewährleisten, dass man gesellig miteinander Urlaub machen kann. Die Lage auf dem Wasser vermittelt Entspannung, während gleichzeitig die U-Bahn entspannt zu Fuß zu erreichen ist, sodass der Weg in die Stadt problemlos und schnell zu bewältigen ist. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter verlief stets freundlich und ohne lange Wartezeiten. Auch der Check in konnte problemlos und flexibel durchgeführt werden. Insgesamt hat uns die Peissnitz sehr gut gefallen und wir können sie wirklich weiterempfehlen.
