Island Winds East 408 is a beautiful 2BR/2BA beachfront condo that offers breathtaking views of the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the pristine white sand beaches that Gulf Shores is known for. The condo comfortably sleeps 6, with a king bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the guest bedroom, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. The master bedroom features a brand-new memory foam mattress for a restful night's sleep. The condo is also equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, a private balcony, a washer and dryer, and high-quality cotton linens for added comfort.



Island Winds East is the best location on the beach. Located at the very beginning of West Beach Boulevard, you’re just steps away from the heart of town. From the Beach Volleyball Championships and The Hangout Music Festival to the Shrimp Festival and Gulf Shores’ main public beach, everything you want to experience is right outside your door. Plus, with numerous restaurants, shops, and nightlife within walking distance, the location couldn’t be more perfect.



Inside, the condo is just as impressive. With stunning views that might make you want to simply relax and gaze at the scenery, you'll also find an updated kitchen, elegant granite countertops, and tasteful decor throughout. Complex Amenities:  Outdoor pool (heated seasonally in the spring and fall), charcoal grilling area, a gazebo, a beach boardwalk, and a fitness center.



Parking is limited to one (1) car. You will receive an email in advance of your arrival to register and pay for your $50 parking pass. If you do not receive it, please let us know. You must complete this step in advance of your arrival. The price will increase to $60 per HOA if you don't purchase in advance of arrival. Upon arrival, you will need to visit the Island Winds East front desk to pick up your parking pass. This price can change at any time, without notice. Please NO boats, trailers, or RVs.

The condo was beautiful! It was clean, updated and was in the perfect location! The kitchen had everything we needed. They even supplied coffee filters. Our view was amazing! The girls could walk to The Hangout. I would highly recommend this rental.

Great location!

Great location. Easy access to beach and either a short walk or quick drive to plenty of food options. Property was clean, stocked with dishes, and everything in working order. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great for most of our stay, but it comes with the time of year. We would definitely stay again otherwise!

Perfect winter getaway

Very nice condo with a beautiful view of the beach and gulf. We enjoyed walking on the beach and watching dolphins playing in the water. The bed was very comfortable. All the dining chairs were very tall which made it a little uncomfortable for us older people, but we had a great stay never the less.

Great location, everything as expected. Only difficult issue was the tv. It went in and out of having channels available for watching. Would recommend the owner invest in a streaming service vs satellite; it may be more reliable?

The condo was very nice ! Exactly what we needed!Only problem main bathroom only started us with half a roll of toilet paper. I know we had to furnish after I thought a roll. 3 women need at least a roll.We were not planning on going anywhere we first arrived. I’m sure it was a over look by house keeping.

Senior Year Spring Break 2023

Senior year spring break trip with my husband, son and his friend. The location and condo was perfect. The condo was nice with modern upgrades, with the perfect seating while watching whales in the mornings on the deck facing the ocean. Walking distance to the, “hang out” for the boys and across the street from a fun little Italian spot, called “Laura’s”. Live music at both locations. Only downside was, the timing of our trip was 50 degrees…other than that—was a relaxing short trip from normal life.

Gulf Shores Condo

The view is absolutely amazing! Unit was decent and clean and stocked with plenty of dishes and working appliances. A unit close by above us was being worked on causing very loud noises during the day. Cutting of material took place in the parking lot and got dust all over our vehicle. We had to hunt down a car wash to clean it. We reported both of these incidents to the office at the property. The toilet was loose in the master bathroom when we arrived and we reported it for attention needed. The bathroom sinks drained slowly and we reported these as well to ALBVR.

The condo itself was very nice, and the location couldn’t have been better. We did run into two minor issues during our stay:1. Staying in the East building meant we didn’t have access to the gym, though we made up for it by taking daily walks.2. We loved the idea of relaxing on the balcony, but nearby smokers made it difficult to sit outside for long since the smoke drifted directly onto our balcony.Aside from those things, we truly had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed our time there.

Short but sweet

Condo was great. The ck in people were not very friendly. TV in the spare bedroom didn't work and the lady at the front desk was no help. The cleaning crew didn't do a very good job. So we cleaned and ran the vacuum our selves.

Great location and the condo fit our needs. Overall, it was a fabulous stay and there were no major issues requiring a call for repair; however, the following things need maintenance attention (nothing that ruined our stay but small things that affect the listing): master bedroom shower knobs are falling off, no dresser in master bedroom, missing HDMI cable in twin bed room so TV didn’t work, mirror in master bedroom needs replaced as the design doesn’t allow an average height person or taller to see unless bending down, twin beds are extremely creaky with every slight movement due to the headboard being attached at the wrong height. Also, in the listing it says that there is a fitness room available. When we asked where it was, we were told we couldn’t use it unless we were in the other building (Island Winds west). This was misleading.

Family vacation

This was the first vacation we have had in years. The condo was very clean ans a great location. The staff was very helpful and polite. Great parking! The condo was smaller than it looked in the picture but very nice. Will stay here again!!!

Great View, Some Disappointments

Staying on the beach was fabulous. We loved watching the birds and dolphins right outside our windows and balcony. It made up for some of the shortcomings of our visit. First impression in the living room was that the area rug was dirty. I think and hope the color is just a dirty gray, but it was a bit off-putting. Unpacking was challenging, as there is no dresser in the master bedroom. The unit was quiet at night until at some point between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. when very loud BEEP BEEP BEEPing noise was made. It’s the noise made when a truck is in reverse. It went on and on and happened almost every morning, sometimes closer to 3:30, others at 4 or 4:30. We never figured out what was going on at that hour, but it was very disturbing. It would be worth asking if the beeping happens all the time. The washing machine was broken when we got there. We didn’t get a replacement until two weeks later, so had to use local laundromats. The new replacement unit worked fine, and the management company gave us a credit for the inconvenience. There are good restaurants that are nearby, and the beach is wonderful. Pool wasn’t heated, so we never used it, as the weather was very chilly most of the time we were there.

Excellent Location

This condo had an excellent view and location. It was convenient for time on the beach as well as dining out. Everything was within walking distance or a short drive, which was a big plus. The condo itself was okay and worked well space-wise for two couples, but don’t expect much in the way of amenities. We reported a broken glass table top upon our arrival and an unpleasant smell in the kitchen. The communication with the managing company was slow and at times did not address my questions. If you simply need a place to shower and sleep, this place is for you! If you are looking for a rental that is well-stocked and homey, then look elsewhere.
