About this property

Luxurious, private, contemporary 1BR apartment in Ithaca NY!

The apartment is a brand new bottom floor unit, with hosts living upstairs, though very quiet and respectful. The hosts are my folks, and I, their daughter Branka, manage the property and platform for them.

This apartment truly is brand new, construction ended in June 2021. It is private with your own entry. There is a large bedroom with enough closet space, a queen size bed, blow up mattress (also queen size) and a mini crib for those who travel with little ones. Living room is spacious and equipped with a large TV, an electric fireplace, and all around comfort! Bathroom does have a sensitive sani-flo system, and it can sometimes be a bit loud but functions very well. Bathroom is well equipped with amenities and a modern, touch button mirror and plenty of storage. Kitchen is equipped with full size appliances and a dishwasher for convenience of less to think of while on vacation!

Without saying too much, we invite you to book with you and enjoy all the hard work we have put into the unit, all the while assuring you have everything you need for your comfortable stay. Please refer to the photos of the listing, they are the best way to get an idea of the quality and comfort of the large 950 sq. foot apartment.

For longer stays, we will honor the use of the washer and drier, don't hesitate to ask if you are booking for 14 nights or longer (even less in emergencies).

Branka is an excellent host. Apartment was exactly what we were looking for. Super clean, comfortable and nice and cozy warm (our visit was in December). Comfortable bed and soft towels. Loved her amenities from coffee/tea bar with snacks to bathroom supplies if you forgot anything. Conveniently located to downtown commons, Cayuga lake wine trail, Wegmann’s and many retail shops/restaurants. Also, LOVED the visits from the deer family who live out back! Wonderful rental and highly recommend. We would rent again in the future.

The first thing you'll notice is how clean the apartment is. Furnishings are exactly as advertised. You're a one-minute drive from downtown and all the action but perched on a hill in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's a perfect location. Branka is a very attentive host who is truly concerned with making your stay as pleasant as possible.

Beautiful property and wonderful host!

The property was beautifully designed and maintained, and the host was incredibly gracious and responsive. It was the perfect homebase to explore the area around Ithaca and Cayuga Lake.

We stayed in this property for 10 days while we were helping our daughter to move in to her dorm. It was very clean and nice. They have all the amenities and supplies. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt at home. Our hosts were very courteous and nice people and attended our every need. Parking is easy and downtown and grocery shops are within 6-7 minutes drive. Ithaca College and Cornell are both around 10 mins drive from the property. Definitely recommended for visits to the area.

Super clean and well-appointed property!

Branka is a thoughtful on-site host who has stocked her VRBO very nicely with lots of thoughtful extras like toiletries and a coffee station. The bed was really comfortable and the property was very quiet and extremely clean. Note that there are many steps down to the unit with no railing. Not a problem for those with good balance and no physical limitations. But perhaps challenging for some folks. We would stay here again!

So Accommodating!

Our stay was wonderful! We had a short stay in Ithaca on our way home from vacation on the lake. Branka reached out right away to confirm the booking and inquire about our party to ensure they could provide the best accommodations. From arrival to departure, we were well cared for. The apartment was clean and very well organized. The bathroom was stocked with travel toiletries and we could easily find everything we needed in the kitchen. It's clear they think about what their guests will need for their stay. They were so lovely and easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend this apartment for your stay in Ithaca!

Rental to count on

My friend and I had a wonderful stay. Unit was a welcome oasis after a day of hiking gorges and parks and sampling local wines and ciders. Extremely convenient to everything worthy of experiencing. We found it spotlessly clean and appointed with pretty much everything needed plus numerous little items showing that the host took pride in this business. A real bonus was meeting Branca's sweet mom and dad who lived on the main level. If you have any mobility issues, please contact the host so she can describe the staircase leading to the unit. They are very safe for all others and well lit. We had no problems.

Best Stay Ever

This was a ten star stay! The host was very easy to communicate with and the property was beyond perfect! The air conditioner was pre-set prior to our arrival so it was nice and cool when we arrived. We arrived earlier than planned and I texted the host. She said it was fine to go right in. Absolutely everything was there. Slippers, umbrellas, all types of bathroom supplies (so many that a guy can't name them all or guess what they are used for), coffee, tea, snacks, a few cold bottled waters, and some ice cubes. All the lights are LED and dimmable, and the nightstands have two USB chargers each. There's two large TV's and the kitchen is well enough equipped to make and serve a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. There was plastic bags, aluminum foil, ice cubes, paper plates, dinner service, wine and cocktail glasses. The construction is amazing and the paint job is perfect. This VRBO was constructed and furnished without sparing any attention to detail. The location is just outside the city with a quiet private yard, parking, and a large furnished, covered patio. Anything in Ithaca is only a few minutes away. You will find whatever you are looking for here. It's absolutely the best VRBO we have stayed with.

Wonderful place to stay

This was a great find in Ithaca for us, very close to Wegmans for groceries and all the other places that we wanted to visit. The property was extremely clean and the kitchen was spacious with enough utensils and cutlery for our family's home cooked meals. They had a lovely backyard with a lot of birdsong. Communication with the property was amazing and the owners took care to cool down the place before we came in and had left us some snacks and water bottles which we appreciated after a tiring, hot day of driving. Overall a great place to stay and it felt like home away from home. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Ithaca.

Great experience, stayed an extra night

My wife and I really enjoyed this property. It's new, has a lot of nice features, and was very comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen, nice furniture and appliances. The A/C worked well, had a nice bathroom, etc. My wife enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra day. We also got to use the new hot tube that they just installed. The hosts/ manager of the property were very nice and helpful as well. A few things to note: The sump pump pumping out the water and sewage from the apartment, which is in the basement of a house, is pretty loud. It only runs when the water or toilet are running, but it was startling/ surprising at times (late night trips to the bathroom). Because this is a basement apartment there are brief times where you can hear people upstairs. It's insulated pretty well, but it's not perfect. This wasn't a problem for me and my wife, but I know others wouldn't enjoy it. The last thing to mention is that there were some bugs in the apartment at night. I think there are small gaps between the A/C units and the windows they're installed in, which allows for some small flies to get in at night when they're looking for the light. As I said they were small and there weren't a ton of them, but enough to make it worth mentioning. Overall, we really enjoyed the property, the hosts, and the location. We would recommend it for most people.
