Our FW (80sqm, 2 floors) consists of 2 double bedrooms, separate fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, 4 ring stove u. Oven, separate living room, newly renovated bathroom, and Wi-Fi. Additional cot and high chair are also available. Bed linen and towels (weekly change) are included. A nice seat at the house lulls you to rest. A lake with barbecue grills, and foot baths are nearby, ideal for children. Luxembourg, France, Belgium are in close proximity. More tips on hiking and sightseeing we can gladly help you in your holiday with us

Delightful and quiet

We enjoyed 2weeks in this 2nd floor apartment in a small village near Trier. The location made it easy to visit city landmarks or hike in the nearby forest paths. The apartment was very clean, well furnished and very comfortable. A special bonus was the beautiful outdoor garden, exquisitely maintained by the owners, who are on site. We also appreciated the owners’ extra effort to communicate with us in English.

Supersauber und angenehme Gastgeber

Die Wohnung ist vollständig eingerichtet und auffallend sauber. Abgeben war die Möglichkeit sich abends jetzt in warmen Sommer vor ist hinter dem Haus, in Garten aufhalten zu können. Ein angenehmes Miteinander mit den Gastgebern, hat das Gesamtpaket abgerundet.

Heerlijk verblijf

Het appartement is schoon, groot en van alles voorzien. Mijn man en ik hebben het daar goed naar onze zin gehad. Bed lag goed, maar was onwijs groot. Als uitvalsbasis is Holzenrath prima. Je bent binnen het half uur in Saarburg, Trier en Luxemburg. Wat ik wel miste, was handzeep. Maar in de supermarkt konden we voor € 0,65 een flesje handzeep kopen. De eigenaresse was heel erg aardig en probeerde je zo goed mogelijk te helpen. Wat wennen is, vooral als je op leeftijd bent, is dat het toilet op de 2e verdieping bevindt en de slaapkamer op de 1e. Maar dat is geen onoverkomelijk probleem.

Fijn verblijf

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in deze vakantiewoning. Helaas was er de eerste 2 dagen geen WiFi, maar dat werd opgelost en hebben we rest van de week goed gebruik van kunnen maken. Wij hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van de prachtige bloementuin, omdat het niet makkelijk toegankelijk is. In de voortuin hebben we wel heerlijk gezeten. Het toilet is op de 2e etage samen met een slaapkamer. Ouderslaapkamer is op de 1e etage met de keuken en woonkamer. Huisje ligt mooi centraal in het Saarland. Trier is een geweldig stad, Luxemburg is makkelijk te bereiken. Auto parkeren in Wasserbillig, daar vandaan gratis met de trein naar de stad. OV is gratis Leuke vakantie in een mooie omgeving!

We hebben twee heerlijke weken gehad in de ferienwohnung in Holzerath. Veel kunnen wandelen, Het is een rustig dorpje zonder verdere voorzieningen. De gastheer en gastvrouw waren zeer vriendelijk en hebben er alles aan gedaan om het ons naar het zin te maken.

Nice house with friendly and helpful hosts

First of all, I'm sorry to write in English but I'm afraid that my German is not good enough to write a full review. We had a very pleasant time in Holzerath. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, even if our German was less than optimal to explain the questions. The house is nice enough, but the garden is the cherry on top. Our young child had a great time walking around the garden and admiring the tomatoes and fountains. With the blinds it remains relatively cool inside even with the scorching temperatures outside. There are two small drawbacks, the first is the relatively low ceiling at some places. If you are a tall person you have to be a bit more careful. The second is the amount of cutlery, especially the amount of kitchen knives and larger cutting boards. The interior is a bit old fashioned, but that is clearly visible on the pictures. Furthermore, the town itself does not have any grocery shops, so you have to travel a bit further for food. However, the upside of living in a quite place that there a multiple wonderful hiking roads starting right at the doorstep. All in all it is a nice place to stay with friendly and helpful hosts.

Sofort wieder!

Fam. Jäckels sind unglaublich gastfreundlich und haben eine vollständig eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, die ihres Gleichen sucht. Und die Matratzen sind die besten, auf denen wir in den letzten Jahren in den Ferien geschlafen haben. Und das Sofa ist gemütlich! Alt heißt nicht oll! Auch wenn die schon alt ist. Und der Garten ist der Hammer! Ein Traum zum Entspannen... Wir haben uns rundrum wohlgefühlt. Wenn wir wieder nach Trier kommen ist eins klar: Nur hier werden wir wohnen. Preis/Leistung voll erfüllt! Danke für die schöne Zeit...!!!

Sehr freundliche Vermieter

Unser Urlaub in Trier und Umgebung war sehr schön. Ein großen Anteil daran hatte auch die Ferienwohnung inkl. den sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermietern. Allein schon die Begrüßung inkl. frischen Blumen und Muffins auf dem Küchentisch waren Klasse und haben wir so noch nie erlebt. Tolle Ausflugstipps gab es auch noch. Die Wohnung selbst hat nichts vermissen lassen. Es war alles sehr sauber, und auch z.B. Geschirr in ausreichender Menge. Ja, wenn man das Wohnzimmer betritt, meint man ein paar Jahrzehnte zurück zu reisen aber das hatte auch seinen Charme. Unsere Zeit in Holzerath war sehr schön und erholsam. Vielen Dank auch an dieser Stelle nochmal an die netten Vermieter. Wir können die Wohnung absolut weiter empfehlen.

Hr. und Fr. Jäckels waren sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Wir wurden bei der Ankunft herzlich Empfangen, die Wohnung war sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestatten wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist Idylisch und sehr erholsam. Von Hr. Jäckels bekamen wir immer sehr gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Wanderungen. Die Gegend ist sehr schön und es gibt unzählige Ausflugmöglichkeiten. Zum Abschied saßen wir mit den Vermietern zusammen und hatten einen schönen Abend bei Speiß und Trank. Wir können die Ferienwohnung nur Emfehlen.

Schöne Auszeit mit wundervollen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Familie Jäckels empfangen. Die Wohnung befindet sich in der 1.Etage des Hauses. Weiter geht es auf den ausgebauten Dachboden, wo sich das Badezimmer und das 2. Schlafzimmer befinden. Das Badezimmer ist sehr modern und aus dem Dachfenster hat man eine wunderschöne Aussicht aufs Tal. Im Rest der Wohnung hat man das schöne Gefühl, die Zeit sei stehen geblieben. Die Einrichtung hat schon einige Jahre auf dem Buckel, sieht aber aus als sei sie gestern erst gekauft worden. Die gesamte Wohnung und das Haus sind super gepflegt und sauber. Zu jeder Zeit hätten wir die Möglichkeit gehabt in den Garten des Hauses zu gehen, dies haben wir allerdings nicht in Anspruch genommen, da wir die ganze Zeit unterwegs waren. Im gesamten Naturpark Saar-Hunsrück gibt es vielfältige Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Einen Trip nach Trier oder nach Luxemburg kommen wir auch empfehlen. Alles in allem haben wir dort mit unserer kleinen Tochter eine wunderschöne Zeit gehabt, die leider viel zu schnell vergangen ist.

Goede rustige omgeving.

Als je niet van drukte houd , is dit een goede locatie. Al is het wel enigszins uit de jaren 60 , het is van alle gemakken voorzien en de eigenaren zijn zulke vriendelijke mensen.
