Koontz Lake Waterfront Cottage

Hello and welcome to our cozy cottage on the lake! This small town lakehouse experience is so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a family getaway. The entire home is yours during your stay, please make yourself at home and treat our home as if it was your own.

There is a deck, patio, and pier for your use. The water is very shallow (around 3 feet) through to the end of the pier, so it’s great for kids to jump in and play with the proper swim safety gear. This is a great fishing spot too!

There is a wood burning fire pit on the patio, and if you forgot to bring wood that’s okay because there is a very nearby gas station that sells firewood, food, ice cream, beverages etc. There’s also a dollar store in town nearby, a brewery, a couple restaurants and a couple bars.

There are a few spots to go berry picking not too far away, reach out for more details! If you enjoy golfing, there are a few golf courses nearby. There is also horseback riding and seasonal rodeos, let me know if you would like more info.

The grassy area next to the home is a public access point to the lake so please don’t completely block it off.

Nice visit

Lake and outdoor living area was fantastic. A little outdated, but overall it was a nice stay. Neighbors were extremely friendly.

Koontz Lake Property

The outdoor space was what I was looking for. The conditions of the house were outdated and a lot of the furniture was not in good shape (broken/missing parts). In the kitchen there was a severe ant issue. No food could be left on the counters. Light bulbs were out, cobwebs and spiders inside bedrooms and bathrooms. The house had a slope inwards, I’m assuming this is a foundational issue. I had two young guests who used the bunk beds and the top bunk mattress fell onto the the bottom. We put the mattress back, but didn’t use for the remainder of our stay.

Good location; tried to get money once we left

We had a lovely time at this property! I was looking forward to staying here again until the host contacted us and tried to get me to pay additional fees for a stain and damages we did NOT cause on top of the expensive cleaning fees paid to begin with. Hoping it was a misunderstanding, but you can judge that risk for yourself.

The Koontz girls loved this house on Koontz lake. It was just the right size. We can’t wait to bring the rest of our family for a visit!! Everything was exactly as listed

This space was too small for our family of 7. The rooms and bathrooms and stairwell are very small and cramped. It felt old dark and there were no wash clothes. When we did get some they had not been washed!

Great Place at Koontz Lake

Great place to meet with family….picturesque outdoor setting on beautiful lake with fire pit to enjoy…well stocked with nice little touches. Some of the appliances were outdated but still usable. Overall, we were very happy with the place and would recommend it to anyone.
