House is lovely, but definitely not where it shows on the map. Just be aware it is VERY quiet around the house (we saw one other person in 5 days) unless you go to the main resort. That being said, its a pretty spot and our kids didnt mind having the area and resort pool near the house all to themselves!

I have been going to Puerto Peñasco for 14 years and always stay at Mayan palace, this time I went with more people and decided to look for a house that has the amenities of the Mayan palace and it was near. This home was just what we needed, spacious, beautiful, just what the pictures and description said. I will definitely stay here again if coming in a bigger group. The people in charge was always responding to my question and check in was smooth. Thank you so much

A Private Paradise

My friend and I had a great stay in Mayan Lakes. The house was very comfortable, and well-appointed. The proximity and free use of the Grand Mayan Resort was also incredible. All of the staff there were very friendly, and we were made to feel right at home. I look forward to returning soon!

The property is at 3 to 5 min drive to the resort and is very private with guards and is a very peaceful and picturesque setting. We had a great time at their pool with a great view.

Amazing and relaxing stay

Can’t say enough about this well kept property.. very clean , relaxing and quiet. We got to enjoy the hotel grounds at the Mayan Palace in our stay. It’s about 20-30 mins past Rocky Point but the beaches and water are amazing this side of the sea. Totally recommend this place!

Great house with private pool!

This is our second stay at Mayan Lakes (different properties). We really like having an entire house with a private pool for our family. Having the ability to use the Mayan Palace for the gym, pool, or other amenities is great. It is a short drive to the resort. Great place!

Great second stay at this Mayan Lakes property

This is our 2nd stay at this property, and once again it was perfect! We love to cook and relax while on vacation and this property checks all the boxes. Having the use of the Mayan resort is a huge perk/bonus for us. Only comment (and this is not a reflection on the owner or property) is I am sad that they haven't developed this area more in the past 4 years that we have been staying here. But we still love the privacy and quiet. Thanks again!!

Beautiful Home

The home was absolutely perfect. We had 6 total (3 adults and 3 kids) and we had plenty of space. The only issue we had was slow draining sinks in the master bathroom. We had no issues gaining access to the Mayan and it was only a 4 minute drive to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay

House really is better than the pictures, it had everything we needed. 2 pools and a big kitchen. Wifi not working was the only downside but hey we were not needing it much anyway. Mayan palace was 10 min away and so was the beach! Would stay here again!

Great experience

We had a great experience with this house. From booking, to the stay, to check out. The house was clean, AC worked great, water was hot, kitchen was awesome. We didn’t use the pools at the house because we went to the Mayan Palace daily to hang out, as it’s a short 5-8 min drive away. It was nice to be able to escape the resorts for a quiet crowd free evening at home. We had a great time. Hosts were very available to answer questions before and during our stay. We will stay here again.

We were hesitant to book a place that wasn't right on the beach, but we absolutely loved Shauna's house. The beach is just a 5 minute drive up the road at the Mayan Palace and it is absolutely breathtaking. We spend the days at the Grand Mayan but it was nice to come back to this peaceful house after all days of activities . The house was well appointed with everything we needed. VERY clean , bright , spacious and was perfect for our small family. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing house with us. We will be back :-))

Perfect property to relax

We have visited Puerto Penasco several times and wanted to try something a little off the beaten path. This was the perfect property to relax and enjoy the quiet. It was right before a busy holiday weekend but the house was super quiet. The kids loved having pools right outside the door. The adults enjoyed the rooftop deck and looking at the stars. The resort was a short drive away and we spent several days relaxing at the resort beach and eating at the restaurants (the bridge is fixed). The internet was fast and we had several movie nights after swimming all day. Highly recommend!

We love being a host and sharing our beautiful spot. We love to golf, we love the water, and we love the secluded beaches of the Mayan Palace. We've have got it all in this private house overlooking the estuary and waterways of the nature reserve. Because we are a private gated community within the Mayan Palace Resort - We can use all the Mayan Palace facilities including their outdoor and indoor pools, tennis courts, spa, gym, pool bars and their fantastic restaurants. Sometimes we go into town to buy our own fresh seafood and cook it up back at our home. We love having the space that a condo can't give you and the tranquility of being away from the lights and sounds of the city.

Why they chose this property

We love to fish, play in the sand and have family gathering for the Holidays. This house holds everyone, and has lots of room to move around. Best of all we love to get a way form it all and this is the place to do it. We are 20-30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Penasco nestled in our quiet community. We just came back from our trip over new years and have always felt very safe and relaxed both at the Mayan Palace resort and our trips into town. The local people are always friendly and helpful Our private gated community offers 24 hour security and is within the Mayan Palace Resort. We have never had any worries!

What makes this property unique

You will not get the space and room from any other rental in the area. You will not get drinkable tap water and American standards community. For fun, we get to walk the beach in our own little world where you feel like you are the only one who has ever walked here before. The shelling is wondrous, and unique because of the way the ocean tides bring in life to the estuary’s tidal pools. We can fish near our house and catch supper; we can dive for clams and cook them up at our home. This is a new and better way to holiday. Private and secluded home to unwind and spend quality family time - then if you want a little action you can head to the resort and partake in daily resort activities for adults & children, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, secluded private beaches, restaurants and bars, Fitness Center and Health Spa. You also have access to the Jack Nicklaus Signature Peninsula golf course. You can't beat it! the best of both worlds.
The best place for sea shells is to drive out past the golf course as far as you can go and walk into the secluded beach area. The size and sheer number of shells are mind blowing; some are big enough to be used for soup bowls!
