nice view of Glen Lake (no access to the lake from the cottage) - close to Lake George Winter Carnival in February - kayak launch area 1/2 mile away on Glen Lake - 10 minutes to Lake George beach & village (resort area) - 5 minutes to Great Escape Amusement park - 30 minutes to Saratoga - excellent restaurants nearby & many great golf courses - foothills of Adirondacks, close to great hiking trails in summer & snowmobiling, downhill, & cross country skiing in winter
