About this property

Family-Friendly, Private 2 Acres with Stunning Views

Private mountain retreat, minutes to Nantahala Lake! Come relax and unwind on your own private mountain top or explore the majestic Nantahala National Forest. You can enjoy the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains reclining on the spacious balcony or create your own outdoor adventures touring the surrounding lakes, rivers, hiking trails and more.

This spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is located just off the Mountain Waters Scenic Byway in Nantahala, NC, ½ mile up the mountain from Nantahala Lake. You can spend hours soaking up the spectacular long-range mountain views from the multi-level, 1500 sq ft deck. Cozy up with a good book and a glass of wine on the upper deck while peaceful breezes whisper through the oaks. Lounge in the hammock or rock away the hours on the lower deck. The fire table on the upper deck and the fire pit in the yard below provide warmth and ambiance for stargazing and firefly watching.

Snurley Ridge has ample space for families or groups but is cozy enough to be enjoyed by couples as well. The main floor has an open concept living, dining and kitchen area with a wood burning fireplace, 65-inch TV, a dining table for 6 and 2 bars with seating for 6. Doors lead from the dining room onto the deck with a table and chairs for outdoor dining in the fresh air with mountain views. Each level of this 3-level home is equipped with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The main-floor bedroom has a queen bed and sliding doors that open onto the upper deck. An upstairs loft area overlooks the living room and has 2 twin beds with trundles below for extra sleeping. There is also a TV and DVD player in the loft with a selection of movies for the little ones. The loft leads into a bright and airy bedroom with a king size bed. The basement suite has a private entrance, king size bed, bathroom, mini fridge, coffee station and 2 extra rollaway beds if needed. French doors open onto the lower deck with mountain views in front and onto a private stone patio on the side.

DirectTV is provided in the living room, main floor bedroom and basement suite. As part of the remote mountain experience, the cabin has limited wifi provided by Viasat satellite internet. This is your chance to truly unplug! Expect slow connections and no cell phone service. The “land-line” phone at the house can be used for local and long-distance calls.

Snurley Ridge welcomes you to bring your babies, human and otherwise!
