Everything was wonderful. Clean comfortable beds and towels. Only thing: not enough dish soap and no potholders. Otherwise- all excellent. Very pleasant stay.
Cozy cabin near endless bike/ walking trails and quiet friendly neighborhood. We very much enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen for meals, spotlessly clean, comfy king bed, washer and dryer access, nice shower and having the best deli at the Tahoma Market. We had a great time here, management co is always available and we will for sure stay here again!
Just great! The house served us well, had everything we needed. Trent kindly met us upon our arrival and gave us the overview on the place including the bear safety protocols.
Listing accurately described home and matched listing photos. Great location, close to dinning options, out door activities and great little market close by. Bike paths nearby. Neighborhood was pretty quite. Home doesNot have dishwasher no biggie, however check out instructions do ask to leave cups in dishwasher but not one in place. Home was very clean and accommodating for small family. Would stay here again. Late check in 4pm and early check out 10am. Overall had a great stay!
We had a great time in this cozy home! It was perfectly situated between all of the things we wanted to do while in Lake Tahoe. Everything was very clean and the fireplace was the PERFECT touch for the first snow day of the season! The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. Would definitely recommend for a couples trip!
Overall we had a lovely stay. The check out instructions say you can leave dishes in dishwasher. There’s no dishwasher and be sure to bring oven mitts and ice trays- we could find neither. Location is close to the lake and local store.
This was a great place to stay for a long weekend in Tahoe. The proximity to hiking trails and beaches made it easy to maximize on outdoor activities. The location is also very close to a market if you wish to cook for yourself rather than go out to eat. The property was very clean and cozy and stocked with the essentials to allow for a comfortable stay.
Fantastic location and loved the property. The only slight complaint is that there are only two uncomfortable outside chairs on the deck. We would liked to have more comfortable outside seating to accommodate all of us.
We gather in Homewood with our family every year. We stayed in the Bear's Den in Tahoma which was only 4 miles from our gathering. It is also very close to Meeks Bay, where we met our adult kids and grandkids for the day.
The Cabin was perfect for the two of us but would also accomondate another couple or kids if needed. Everything was clean and well stocked with the basics. We would stay there again.

The retap company was pretty upright about a mistake I did by dinging an insurance for over 100 dollars and when I called them to say it was a mistake they were so strict about not returning it. It was a bit confusing as you are not renting from the owner as most other places do the rental agency charges you all the fees and rental and then separately Vrbo charges their fee do it made it pretty confusing and at the end pretty expensive for a house it’s not very well kept. The bathroom is ver updated with really old bathtub that is devoted, towels had homes in it. Kitchen did not had gloves to hold hot pots. We had to bring our own shampoo and creams and no wood not even for the first day the place was pretty cold so we had to turn up the heater. The dogs in the living room super uncomfortable to sit and watch TV while it rained outside. It’s not worth the price they charge for sure.

Thank you for your message.
As outlined at the time of booking and again on the Reservation Agreement, travel insurance is offered as an optional third-party product. Once purchased and activated, it becomes subject to the insurance provider’s terms and conditions, which unfortunately do not allow for refunds three weeks after purchase. This policy is set by the insurance company, not by us, and we are required to adhere to it.
It is clear that the lack of refund for the OPT-IN Coverage overshadowed the rest of your experience

Had everything you needed. Needed a bit of work on the property, following the winter, couple of broken fence panels and the winter shutters still up on one window.
Inside the property was fantastic, had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen was well equipped with all the pans you would need.

Great value near homewood
This was a good value for the price as the location is very convenient to homewood. Our only complaint is the lack of a dishwasher, the loud noises from the heating unit, and the lack of two twins for kids (as opposed to one double in the 2nd bedroom). Otherwise it was clean and nice and I appreciate the quality of the cookware and dishes compared to other units

House is very clean and super comfortable. I had the king bed and it was incredibly comfortable. Had some nice perks like a really good blender and plenty of towels. House is managed by a property management firm. They are response but only during regular business hours and more by email rather than phone or Airbnb app. A few cons: -No wood, matches, kindling, or newspapers were provided -No ice melt provided (bucket was empty) -No non-stick plans and very few pans/pots overall -Driveway was partially plowed but we had to shovel a lot ourselves and our neighbor kindly cleared some power lines that were under snow -No dishwasher (even though listing references one) or standard coffee maker. -Bring your own staples like oil, sugar, coffee, etc. -Without the heat up and fire in wood stove, house is pretty cold because the windows are not double paned and are aluminum.-Check-in was on the later side (4pm) and Checkout on the earlier side (10am)
Lovely cottage in a great neighborhood close to Homewood Ski Mountain, local restaurants/markets and a short drive to Tahoe City.
Beds were comfortable , bathroom was well stocked with towels etc. Driveway was plowed and could easily accommodate 2 or 3 cars. Checking in was a breeze.
A few things that would make the experience better:
The kitchen / great room is a great space with soaring soaring ceilings. The challenge is that there was only one heat vent in the ceiling above the cabinets (that we could find) to heat the largest open space in the home. To get adequate heat in that area the back half of the house was too warm.
The listing advertised a “coffee maker”, well there is indeed a coffee maker however it is an old school stovetop percolator that I had to Google how to operate. I would have expected a “Cuisinart coffee maker” that is more modern and easily operable. The kitchen also lacked glassware but there were an abundance of spices etc in the cabinets (go figure).
Overall a good stay but definitely not worth the price compared to others homes we’ve stayed at in the area this year.

Customer Service and Winter Safety Issues
While we have enjoyed this property in the past, customer service and winter safety issues have made it so I will not rent from this property management company again.
Our anticipated arrival coincided with a severe winter weather warning. We called to ask if we could arrive just one hour earlier so as to avoid being on the summit or on the road in severe weather. The company said they would have to follow protocol and eventually emailed us well after a time that would have allowed us to leave early, meaning we ended up on the road at the worst of the storm. Later, the neighbor informed me that the property had been empty that day, so this was not an issue of cleaning - just disregard for our situation.
Second, on arrival at the house we found that no firewood. The house has a heat system, but it was inadequate for the conditions and power was flickering regularly in the storm. Luckily, a kind neighbor provided us with firewood.
While I am sure the company will say that it was our decision to travel at such a time and we should have inquired about firewood, a company that manages remote properties in severe winter conditions certainly could demonstrate more care for the safety of its customers. If a severe weather refund is not available, more specific guidance and support to navigate the conditions would have simply been kind and humane.
I hope the owners of this lovely property will consider finding a different management company.
