Traveling for the holidays with family this was a perfect place to stay, the location is close to Hermann park so morning walks in the park and visits to the museums. The host was very helpful with check in. The apartment is cosy and has all the amenities to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable.
The property matches the pictures and the condo is very quiet and we felt safe in and around the unit. Once you're checked in and know your way, it's easy. Host was very helpful and curious too!
We're so glad we stayed here instead of at a hotel. The convenient location allowed us to walk to museums & restaurants-- even in extreme heat. A quick uber allowed us to get groceries and visit sites downtown. We made good use of the kitchen's coffee and blenders. Beds were very comfy and the bathroom had plenty of towels. The highlight was lounging around the shaded pool. Thank you Vasa for being so responsive & accommodating!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Great ates: entire building smells like smoke
Pictures do not match property. Entire building smells awful. Floor between kitchen and living area is severely warped and smells like mildew. It was covered by an area rug. Renter did say we could change to another room but entire building smells.
y we could
We really enjoyed our stay at Vasa unit. The place was very clean, smells good and perfect for 3 people. The building is very Quiet cozy and pet friendly. We followed all rules and respected the quiet hours of 11:30-6AM. She was very firm on quiet hours and respect for her neighbors. Vasa kept communication throughout our entire stay. She also sent us a few things to do that was in walking distance of the unit. Vasa is a very GREAT and caring host. The unit was stocked with everything we could think of including complimentary sodas and cell phone charging station.
I have stayed at many places but this place gets a 10 from us. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your place Vasa.
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful property. The owner has clearly put a lot of love and personal touches into it. Beautifully decorated, and incredibly well stocked. She left us extra coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There was even breakfast available with pancakes, oatmeal and grits. Also bottled water in the refrigerator. In the bathrooms there was extra lotion and facial wash. Truly never been to such a well-stocked rental. The host is super sweet and answer. Any question you have very quickly. and the location was perfect. First day. Walking distance to all the museums in Houston and the large Hermann park with lots of activities as well. Highly, highly recommend!
My stay started out fine for the most part. I wasn't a fan of parking on the 7th floor to walk doesn't to the 6th floor in a very smelly stairwell with my children. This was the only path from the parking area. However, I didn't complain.
The check in process was seamless. The unit was clean. The building itself was centrally located, clean and nice. The unit had been redecorated and is very nice.
The issue is that this building is prone to power outages which I learned from on-site security personnel. the building's power controls the water source to the building. Therefore, we lost water for approximately 45 minutes on day 2. Things were okay after that. We then had another power outage on my second to last night which also left my children and I without running water. The power was still out when I checked out. This building was the only building on the street and in the area that lost power. There were no supplies in the unit to assist for a power outage nor was it mentioned in the listing. My suggestion is to stock the unit with materials for the regular power outages and also make note of the high possibility of an outage in the listing.
