Great location in North Kihei

Condo was great size for family of four. Two nice size bedrooms, and two bath. As with many of the condos here in Maui, definitely needed some maintenance completed And a good deep cleaning. The pool and surrounding grounds of the property were absolutely pristine. Location fantastic to get to all parts of the island.

Nice place but the air conditioning unit in bedroom kinda didn’t work, sometimes the toilet would run after flushing, and last day there a cockroach was in the unit.

Excellent place!

The place was clean and nice, and the property is beautiful and well taken care of. The only down side is you can’t really walk to any shops and you need to drive everywhere (but since you have a car, it’s not that bad and shops are a close driving distance). We loved having the big grass area and walking along the beach. Plus the pool is awesome! The unit has everything you need :)

Beautiful property!

The condo is very roomy-it was just me and my sister in law. The beds were wonderful- a queen and a king. We loved the decor- all rattan furniture and Hawaiian art all over. The fabric on the chairs and couch could use a little updating but they were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly want to cook with or eat on. There was a nice stock of spices which we used. The cabinet doors should be replaced because the veneer is peeling off on all of them but other than that, it was the nicest condo I’ve ever stayed in.The pool was fantastic! We would definitely come back.

Great Condo in a Great Location!

This is the second time we have stayed at Maui Sunset and it was just as great as the last. The property and condo were clean and just as advertised. The kids absolutely loved the pool and most afternoons were spent there with the kids swimming and playing while I read a book or socialized with others staying on the property. The beach on the property was great for taking in the sunrise and sunset, and there was great oportunities to walk along the beach and see trutles in the evening and early mornings. The location of the property in Kihei is great, with easy access to the main highways to get to the various other towns and points of interest on the island and a short drive to the many beaches and shops to the south. Overall I would recommend this property and condo to others looking for a two bedroom accommodation in Kihei.

The location is excellent, the pool is great, walking the beach is one of my favorite things to do. The space was so tight. The furniture were too old and not clean. No response from management when calling or texting.The AC so noisy and not properly functioning. Overall not a good experience. Will never choose this place again and will never recommend to anybody else.

plenty of room for our family of 4. great equipment for the beach. loved having washer and dryer in the unit. great starters for us (trash bags, dishwashing items, paper towels, tp). plenty of parking for the complex. very close to the pool, which is good for short walk, but increased noise levels during the day. Time for the unit to have a deep clean. Notes on the A/C remotes reminding us to turn off and limit the operating hours seem a bit excessive. As far as the area, the immediate area does not feel like a tourist area. However, the restaurants in Kihev were excellent and only 1 mile away.

A Really Nice Stay

I know Kihei isn't the premier area to stay on Maui, but this property looked nice so we gave it a shot for the first half of our Maui vacation. Kehei has proximity to lots of South Maui activities, after all, and the better beaches near Wailea are a short drive, so why not? I got a bit concerned as we got close to the property (Maui Sunset) because the neighborhood is a bit "gritty" and the actual condo buildings are a little dated from the outside. HOWEVER, we were treated very nicely by the check-in staff and once we set foot into our condo we were delighted! Our unit was very clean, well laid-out, and comfortable. It has a nice lanai and view of the swimming pool, park-like setting, and the beach/bay. We enjoyed the pool, shuffleboard, strolling across the grass to the beach to watch the sunset, and more. The kitchen was reasonably well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Bottom line: this property is a great value and we'd certainly recommend it to families and friends.
