Remodeled vintage camper. Farmhouse decor. One queen bed , one full bath. Small sofa. Kitchenette. Microwave, coffee maker, toaster gas cooktop to make a meal. Apartment size refrigerator. Beach decor . Please be somewhat knowledgeable about campers. The stove needs each burner lit that you plan to use. The heat needs to be turned on with a red button in the bathroom. It is not for everyone.

It was very affordable and peaceful. It IS a vintage camper, as described in the property listing. The view and ambiance made it the best campsite I've ever stayed at.

nice views and waterfront

the road noise on arrival was loud due being next to 41, during sleep the sound was mitigated by the HVAC.We understood that before booking.There was a nice fire pit and good people on the other 2 sites. Overall a good stay for an untweaked rustic.Bathroom and kitchen very clean. Floors and screens could have been cleaner. We enjoyed our stay and host got back to us when we had questions. Its partial camping, not a hotel room.

Perfect place for our purpose

This cute little camper was perfect for our purpose! A cute little place to sleep after long days of hiking. The site is absolutely gorgeous. Only negetive is there was no communication from the host on check-in/out instructions. Price is great and appropriate for what you pay.

Beautiful view

Our stay was very pleasant. The down side is there is no beach here but we were able to find a beautiful beach just a few miles away! The camper is older but has all the essentials one needs. The step to go into the camper could be better. We had a couple questions when we got there but the manager was there and took care of everything! Her name is Elvera and she is wonderful!

Beautiful setting and nicely decorated. Host responded promptly when texted. Difficult beach access. Poor interior maintenance with broken coffeepot; flies due to broken screen; dirty shelves and storage cupboards; lack of instructions to turn on hot water.

These past 3 days were a trip back to my childhood! The coziness of the camper was very much like the one my parents had for our vacations. Most everything was typical of a maintained camper - gas stove with an electric option, windows, toilet, shower, refrigerator, with a modern plus of a microwave. Being next to Lake Superior/L'Anse Bay was a big plus. Owners were a phone call away if needed (I did call for info and they were answered immediately). The only drawback was that fact that US-41 was nearby - but easily ignored after a few hours. A few bugs BUT(!!) you're in the UP in summer - get over it! I will most certainly return in the future.

Location,location, location

Let’s start with the good, location is amazing, saw an eagle , the view is amazing. Down side no stove, coffee maker uses those flat pods like in a hotel and I didn’t have those so no coffee to start the day. No dish soap to wash dishes, so had to go buy some and a sponge with a dispenser for the soap so the next person can have it, you’re welcome. So many spiders inside the trailer, I am an outdoorsy person but there were a lot. If you can get past that you will like it, if not this is not a place for you. It is an old trailer don’t have high expectations it is very basic. Plus it has internet so that is a bonus. Over all not horrible.

Great Concept needs a few little things

We loved the vintage camper and how well the inside was decorated. Very cute and clean. Seems like we were the first renters. We did have to contact the host due to hot water issues. She did respond in a timely manner but was unsuccessful in resolving the problem. She did offer alternative solutions that we were very satisfied with. We would suggest an instruction sheet on how to light the stove and turn on water heater and heat/air conditioning. Beautiful view of the bay. The sunrises are spectacular! It is very close to the highway, but we were out and about exploring the area so it wasn’t an issue as we were exhausted when we came back to the camper.

Don't do it. You'd be better off in an outhouse

Flies, flies and more flies. Dead flies, living flies, and half dead flies. If you love flies this is the place for you. You can't even find more flies in the stinkiest outhouse in the U.P. It also had a lovely display of cob webs, and fly fece brown spots all over . The oven comes with a complimentary milk lid ring and trash and more dead flies under the burners. Needless to say, we did not end up staying at the rental. We left right after we did a walk thru. The property manager would not and will not respond to us or VRBO representatives. So small claims court may be in our future. We have plenty of pics and video!

Filthy and not as described

I'm a camper - used to sleeping in both tents and campers. However, this was filthy. There were spider webs going from ceiling to the bedspread - filled with dead bugs/spiders - ON THE BED. Dead flies along windowsills over the bed, on the kitchen counter, etc. If you are renting out a camper the least you can do is do a quick clean out before guests come. Also, first step into the camper is very high off the ground. Need to have an additional step-up. The chairs pictured aren't with this camper - this one had wooden stumps around a fire pit. Baraga Lake Inn is right up the street - we had to go there instead. Host never responded to complaints and I gave 2 weeks for a response.

I was out of town on a long awaited trip to celebrate my retirement at 70 years of age. We also celebrated my brothers 80th birthday. I couldn’t go brush clean it. It was cleaned by an experienced house cleaner. What happened a spider and a few flies showed up after it was cleaned. Come on people this is a camper in the north woods. Am I happy about this of course not, I certainly would have offered her the $139 a night new camper versus the $75 one she rented. But I didn’t know about the spider, no message or call. Then threaten with a bad review to hurt my business that supplements my social security if I didn’t refund. At least give me a chance to help you and fix the problem with a stay in the gorgeous new camper. I care about my property. But folks, I couldn’t anticipate this.The new step is ordered.

Peaceful

The camper was clean with no bugs. Easy to follow instructions on how to use the furnace. The host allowed me to check in extra early with no questions. I do believe that some of the previous reviews were unfair. I really enjoyed my stay and feel as tho I got my money's worth. Thanks for the stay and I'll be back again sometime in the future.

Nice private beach with easy access

We had some challenges with the rental but once we were able to contact the host, she quickly remedied the issue and we had a pleasant stay. Like some reviews shared, yes, there is traffic noise, but the campground down the road would have the same concern and it doesn't have its own beach and you don't have to bring your own camper here, so this rental is a definite win. Nicely located in the center of a beautiful area that we spent all day exploring
