Our family had a wonderful stay here. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to make it feel like home. Its very obvious the owners put a lot of thought into making the house comfortable and functional for families. My 8 year old loved the lake and was out fishing whenever he could. The road is louder than i had anticipated and it did take away from the tranquility of the lake a bit. The water levels of the lake were a lot lower than expected and we were a bit disappointed we couldnt really fish off the dock like the pictures made it look. Location was perfect as we were able to visit Acadia twice and be back home for the afternoon and relax away from the crowds.

Spotlessly clean, updated lakefront home with reliable central A/C, plenty of hot water, and fresh towels throughout our week-long stay. The owners went above and beyond outdoors — fishing rods, row boats, kayaks, dry firewood, a Duraflame log, and a stocked s'mores kit were all ready to go, plus a gas grill with spare propane and a set-up outdoor table/chairs/umbrella for lakeside meals. On the downside, the property sits near a busy road, and traffic noise was quite noticeable both inside and outside, sometimes disrupting sleep depending on which bedroom you're in; paper towels and toilet paper were also sparse for a week with 4 people, and a vegetable peeler would round out the kitchen. Overall a comfortable stay we'd book again, but light sleepers may want to request a bedroom farthest from the road.

This is a great property right on the lake. The house was clean and comfortable with a great fire pit for evenings by the fire. We traveled about 30 minutes to both Acadia and Bar Harbor with ease. Really enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend!

Great Place To Stay

This property is very well equipped but unpretentious thus making it extremely comfortable. Everything in this property is very well thought out. And it is very clean. The kitchen is quite amazing. Communication was great as was checking in and access. I would highly recommend staying here when in the Ellsworth area.

We enjoyed our stay here very much! Home was clean and as described. Loved the little extra touches- we had a great campfire one evening and enjoyed the s’mores that were provided. The lake is beautiful and we saw loons and a bald eagle. There’s even a nice hiking trail at the nearby fish hatchery.

We loved the property and enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Also enjoyed making S’mores ( the host generously supplied ingredients) over the fire pit. My husband and son caught a lot of fish out of the lake. We also enjoyed the puzzles and games they had there for us to use.

The home was clean and modern, with nice touches like phone charging bases and motion-activated nightlights. The beds were comfortable and the towels soft, and there is a new sunporch thay was nice. Our family really enjoyed the kayaks. The owners were very quick to respond. Our family had a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfectly stocked and super clean. I loved having coffee in the morning in the sunroom overlooking the lake. We appreciated the firewood, blankets, S’mores kit, and easy check in. The house is beautiful with lots of natural light to take in the views. Our stay was during the late October fall season. The lake and fall foliage were gorgeous. The house is next to a busy highway but we got used to the traffic and it didn’t deter from the peaceful location.

Beautiful home, perfect location!

This house was just beautiful. It had everything we needed, on a beautiful lake and an easy drive to all the local hotspots including Acadia. The owners were great to work with and quick to respond. You can tell they love the place too and keep it in great condition. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Maine.

Relaxing and fun in the same trip

Very well kept relaxing home. You can stay at the house and relax for the day fishing, kayaking, reading a book on the screened in porch and have a bonfire in the evening or go to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park for the day. Highly recommend renting this home!

Very peaceful and relaxing

Property is well taken care of. Appliances are new and the house is very comfortable. It is on a beautiful lake with some very nice sunrise views from the kitchen and the new sunroom. The owners were very responsive to questions and made our stay easy and relaxing.
